FAQ

What is the most interesting fact about the human body?

We have two eyes, two ears, two nostrils, four limbs, a mouth, a nose, and a penis. Yes, more than 50 parts to our bodies. But one thing is missing. A heart.

The heart is a pump which circulates blood throughout the body. The blood moves through the veins. It transports oxygen and nutrients to your cells. It also removes carbon dioxide.

The heart pumps about 5 liters blood per minute. This is equivalent of an adult drinking 2 to 3 cups of coffee each day.

The heart pumps blood 24 hours a days, 365 days per year. While you are sleeping, your heart beats about 100 times per second.

Color of your skin is a good indicator of whether someone is healthy. The capillaries are tiny blood vessels that can be seen on the skin's surface. These small vessels carry blood away from the large blood vessels in the skin back to the heart. The skin turns purple or blue when there is a blockage in blood flow.

People with sickle cell disease lack red blood cells. They become very sick when their blood becomes hardened and sticky.

Bandages are used to stop bleeding after you have cut yourself. Blood must flow in order for the wound to heal properly. To do this, doctors will insert a needle through your skin into the vein adjacent to the injury. This allows blood to drain from the area.

Doctors can also insert catheters into the artery close to the area where the bloodclot has formed. This keeps the patient occupied until the clot is broken down naturally.

What is the most secretive place in the world, and why?

This question might surprise you. You might be uncomfortable with the truth of it, as it may challenge your perception of reality. However, there's a reason for this place to exist. It's not what we would expect.

The ancient Greeks called it the City of God. In the Bible, it was known as the City of Destruction.

It is also called Kashi in India (Kashmir). It is also called Novgorod in Russia.

But here in America, it goes by another name - The Town That Disappeared.

A small community of 1200 people in western New York State vanished. There were no bodies, cars or houses left behind, but a road sign that pointed to the former location was all that was left.

The little village vanished, with no trace of its existence. Some say it was swallowed up by the Earth. Others claim a meteorite strike destroyed it. Still, others say aliens took it away.

Despite what may have happened, the people who lived in this once-thriving area are confident that their town will not be lost forever. They just moved to another city.

There's even a website that tracks the disappearances and recoveries of Zugspitz.

Then, where is it? It's in Switzerland.

Zugspitze lies on the border between Austria and Germany. A huge lake, Lake Zugspitze, is located just beyond the summit.

It's always fascinated me how so many towns disappear, yet others remain. Is it possible that some towns disappear and others are preserved? I decided to investigate.

I wanted more information about the mysterious disappearing of towns. What is the secret to a town's disappearance? What makes a place disappear?

There are many theories to explain the phenomenon of disappearing towns. One theory states that a town vanishes when all its buildings are destroyed. Another theory suggests that the town simply moves somewhere else. A third theory holds that the town did not exist.

The fact is that hundreds of towns all over the world have been swept away by the ground, despite theories to the contrary. This video explores the history of these towns and examines their current state.

How does the brain control the functions in your body?

The brain relays messages to other parts of the body to ensure their functionality. Your brain controls all that happens in your body. It tells your stomach to digest food and your lungs to breathe air; it tells your arms and legs to move.

Your brain is made of billions, or neurons, of nerve cells. Action potentials on Axons are an electrical signal that neurons send to each other. Each neuron has a cell membrane surrounding its nucleus. The cell membrane houses channels that allow ions, such as potassium and sodium, to enter and exit the cells. Ion movement is what causes the neurons to fire.

When a neuron is activated, neurotransmitters release chemicals into the space between it and the next neuron. Neurotransmitters bind to receptors on the second neuron, opening ion channels so ions can pass in and out of the channel. In turn, the second neuron also fires.

Neurotransmitter release occurs when the presynaptic neuron receives an impulse from another neuron. The impulse travels along an synapse between the neurons. The transmitter binds with the receptors of the postsynaptic nerve, activating the firing of the postsynaptic neurons.

Communication within the nervous system is possible thanks to neurotransmitters. They coordinate activity between the different parts of your brain.

Do you wonder how much trash is produced each day across the globe?

The United Nations states that an average person produces more than 2.5 pounds of waste per day. That's over 25 billion pounds of garbage each year!

Most of the trash ends up at incinerators and landfills. But, what happens to those dumpsters? All that trash ends up being shipped out of country. The trash is then sent out of the country and dumped in countries where it pollutes ecosystems. But, one man has now discovered exactly where this rubbish goes. Mike Sexton is his full name. He runs Waste Watchers, a company that monitors the movements of trucks carrying trash all across North America. He reports back to us about the next steps.

Sexton says he finds his job very satisfying. CNN's Sexton said, "We have a lot to enjoy." "We see big rigs coming through town and we'll follow them. "Sexton began to follow truck drivers around 20 years ago.

He stated that he fell in love with the product.

He loved the story of the driver who pulled into an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. Sexton said that the man was searching for a place to store his stuff. "He drove along the road and saw this structure. So he backed up and went inside. "There were 2 large containers that had been rolled off, and they were full of stuff. He took out everything and began to fill up the truck. "Then, he took everything out and started filling up the truck again. There were many old tires, furniture, rags and mattresses. "It was just a total mess. But it had been cleaned out before he came along. There wasn’t trash everywhere."

What is the explanation? This particular spot used to be a recycling center. People would drive there to recycle their trash. Sexton explained that they would bring household items and take them to the building. Then, after they were done, they would empty the containers.

Now, because of the way the law works, once a container reaches its destination, it cannot be opened. So no matter how often someone takes something out of it, the thing will never be emptied.Every time the truck comes by, it has to start over again. The truck can be stopped running if it is so full of junk that it has to come back hundreds of times per week. The owner eventually abandons the vehicle.

Trash is not the only problem our planet faces.

Plastic pieces make up most of these particles. Some are washed into rivers and oceans. Others end up with fish in their stomachs.

Experts warn that the world may soon face a shortage of food if we don't make any changes. Experts warn that if we continue to go the same way, we won't make it. However, scientists and most people aren't worried.
