The North Korean Reality

celebrity beauty secrets skin care

North Korea's current economic situation is not so bad as it appears. Although the GDP of North Korea is growing by about 2 to 3 percent per year, it is still very low in rural areas. This remarkable turnaround is amazing considering the decades-old famine. An elite class of relatively wealthy people, known as "donjo" (or "masters money"), has emerged and is actively participating in the private markets. Despite harsh economic sanctions from the United States and other nations, it has managed to do this.

North Korea, Life

North Korea has another aspect to its life: public transport. Although the majority of North Koreans do have no cars, they rely on public transportation to get around. Public transport is vital for people who are too poor to own or rent cars. Even though North Korean public transport is primitive and outdated, it is essential for most citizens. North Korea's economy heavily depends on mining. To make ends meet, many need alternative income.

North Korea's winter months are often harsh and life can be difficult. People must burn coal to stay warm, which puts them at risk of respiratory problems. Temperatures can also drop to as low as -13degC in the day. Children used to sleep on railroad tracks in the past to keep their feet from freezing. A passing train would dismember them if their legs were caught on the rails.

Covid-19 pandemic

The North Korean government has declared victory over the Covid-19 epidemic and implemented strict quarantine procedures. But, the number of cases and deaths in other nations is increasing, which means they are not achieving their goal to eradicate the disease. Instead, they have turned inwards, a more difficult situation to understand than in the past. In order to understand what's going on, we need to understand the reality of life in North Korea.

Experts question the accuracy and reliability of North Korea's COVID-19 official virus statistics, but daily updates by the state-run media make the situation seem certain that the country will eradicate the disease. While it's estimated that 18% of the country's 26 million people are suffering from the virus, less than a hundred of them have actually died, there's no way to tell how many cases there are without testing.

Economic collapse

North Korean economies must undergo economic reforms in order to attain unification. These reforms should be done in a systematic manner. There are however additional assumptions that should be considered. These include a falling physical capital stock, declining labor productivity, and large fiscal transfers from the south to the north.

The country faced severe economic hardships during the 1990s. North Korea lost many of its major trading partners as well as much of its foreign assistance due to the collapse of communist regimes in Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union. Even China reduced but did not completely cut off its supply of materials to North Korea. China also demanded cash payments for the materials. A number of natural catastrophes also affected the country. This resulted in severe shortages of grain and food. Starvation was widespread by the mid-1990s.

Threat from the use of weapons

The United States faces the greatest threat from North Korea's arsenal of nuclear weapons. North Korean authorities have shown they have enough fissile matter to produce six to seven new nuclear weapons each year. It may even have ICBMs capable of reaching the US mainland. While the North Korean government claims that it has no intention of using these weapons, it is still a significant threat.

Although the United States and North Korea have not yet declared war, there is still a real threat to war and the United Nations Security Council has increased sanctions. In July 2020, the U.S. Army reported North Korea might possess as many as 60 nuclear arms and have the technical capability of producing six nuclear weapons per calendar year. Army Gen. Mark Milley was the Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff in May 2021. He stated that North Korea had the technical capabilities to make such weapons.

FAQ

What is the most mysterious location on Earth?

Antarctica is considered the most mysterious area on Earth.

This is why we find it so captivating. Because it's unlike any other place in the world.

It is isolated, remote, and very hard to visit. However, there's more to this location than meets the eye.

Some of the most bizarre wildlife species can also be found in this natural wonder.

Let's find out how this mysterious destination became so famous.

Antarctica, The South Pole

It is not known why Antarctica was called Antarctica. Some say it means "land on ice." Others think it comes from Greek mythology.

Antarktis was an ancient Greek name that was given to the island where Zeus and his twin brothers, Zeus. According to one source, one of the twins was conceived in winter. Therefore, the name antarctic.

Others believe the name was derived from the Greek words tropos, which means turn, and anti, meaning against. This would mean land turned away from the sun.

No matter the reason, Antarctica is a place that has always fascinated people.

It is the highest, coldest, windiest, dryest, and most populated continent. There are no trees, plants, or animals here because it is too cold.

This frozen wasteland is still alive.

It houses approximately 90% of all Earth's living organisms. It is home to approximately half of all world's animal and plant species.

What is it that makes Antarctica so unique? Here, water freezes in ice rather that vaporizing into the atmosphere.

This causes large amounts of ice to float above ground.

These floating glaciers cover over 80%. These glaciers are getting larger each year.

The Antarctic ice sheet has grown 60ft since 1960.

The sea level will rise up to 200 feet if melting continues. This could lead to massive flooding across the globe.

Not everyone believes this is bad news. Global warming may be beneficial for some scientists. They claim that the melting of ice sheets could accelerate as temperatures rise. This would lead to flooding that removes tons of toxic chemicals and soil from our bodies.

However, others caution that this theory sounds a lot like a plot in a science fiction movie.

What is the most fascinating fact about the human body

We have two eyes, two ears, two nostrils, four limbs, a mouth, a nose, and a penis. Yes, more than 50 parts to our bodies. But one thing is missing. A heart.

The heart is a pump which circulates blood throughout the body. The blood flows through the veins and arteries to carry oxygen and nutrients to the cells.

Each minute, the heart pumps approximately 5 liters. This amount is equivalent to an adult drinking 2-3 cups of coffee daily.

The blood flows throughout the heart 24/7, 365 days a calendar. While you sleep, your heart beats almost 100 times per minute.

Skin color can be used to determine if someone has a medical condition. You can see tiny blood vessels, called capillaries, when you look closely at the skin. These small vessels carry blood from the large blood vessel in the skin back towards the heart. When blood flow is blocked, the skin turns blue or purple.

Red blood cells are missing in people with sickle-cell disease. Their blood becomes extremely sticky and hardened, which can lead to very serious illnesses.

You can use a bandage to stop bleeding if your cut is severe. Blood must flow in order for the wound to heal properly. Doctors insert a needle into the injured area through the skin. This allows blood to drain from the area.

Doctors may also insert catheters (catheters), in an artery to treat a blood clot. This keeps the patient alive until the clot breaks up naturally.

How does the brain control the functions of your body?

To ensure that they work together, messages are sent by the brain to other organs. Everything in your body is controlled and managed by your brain. It tells your stomach to digest food and your lungs to breathe air; it tells your arms and legs to move.

Your brain is made of billions, or neurons, of nerve cells. Neurons communicate by sending electrical signals, called action potentials, on axons. Each neuron is covered by a cell membrane. Inside the membrane are channels that allow ions such as sodium and potassium to enter and leave the cell. The neuron is lit by an electric charge created by the movement of ions.

When a neuron is activated, neurotransmitters release chemicals into the space between it and the next neuron. Neurotransmitters bind with receptors on the second nerve cell, opening ion channel channels to allow ions in and out. As a result, second neuron fires as well.

Neurotransmitter releases occur when a presynaptic neurons receives an input from another neuron. The impulse travels along the synapse connecting the two neurons. The transmitter binds at the receptors of the post-synaptic Neuron and triggers its firing.

For communication within the nervous systems, neurotransmitters are essential. They coordinate activity between the different parts of your brain.

Is there an Hollywood blacklist?

There is a Hollywood blacklist.

But, the list has not been made public. As far as we know, the names aren't even known. But here's why it matters.

The reason for the secrecy is that the blacklisted actors and directors wouldn't be able to find jobs. So they'd go out of business, which means that the studios would lose money. That would result in a reduction in spending on movies. This would result in fewer opportunities available for blacklisted filmmakers. Which would lead them to go bankrupt.

This could eventually lead to more victims.

A contract may be required to agree to not speak against employers if someone attempts to make an Oscar winning movie. Any director or producer who would like to be nominated for an award is subject to the same rules.

You hear stories of directors being pressured to remove scenes from films. Directors may threaten to quit projects that don’t align with their vision.

This is why Hollywood keeps a blacklist. If you speak negatively about your employer, you will likely be fired. And that's not good for anyone.

There are many people who have been falsely accused. They've had the toil to clear their name.

This must be stopped before it happens again. Everybody should be able to freely express themselves.

We need to get rid of Hollywood's blacklist.
