FAQ

How does the brain control the functions in your body?

The brain relays messages to other parts of the body to ensure their functionality. Everything that happens within your body is controlled by the brain. It tells both your stomach and lungs what to do; it also controls your legs and arms.

Your brain is made of billions, or neurons, of nerve cells. Neurons communicate by sending electrical signals, called action potentials, on axons. Each neuron has a cell membrane surrounding its nucleus. Channels within the membrane allow ions such potassium and sodium to enter and leave the cells. Ion movement is what causes the neurons to fire.

When a neuron is activated, neurotransmitters release chemicals into the space between it and the next neuron. Neurotransmitters are able to bind to receptors in the second neuron. This opens ion channels that allow ions to flow in and out. As a result, second neuron fires as well.

When another neuron sends an impulse to the presynaptic neural cell, neurotransmitter is released. The impulse travels along an synapse between the neurons. The transmitter binds at the receptors of the post-synaptic Neuron and triggers its firing.

Communication within the nervous system is possible thanks to neurotransmitters. They coordinate activity between the different parts of your brain.

What is the most intriguing fact about the human anatomy?

There are two eyes, two ears. Two nostrils. Four limbs. A mouth, nose and penis. You're correct, there are more than 50 parts in our bodies. But, one thing is missing. A heart.

A heart is a pump that circulates blood throughout the body. The blood moves through the veins. It transports oxygen and nutrients to your cells. It also removes carbon dioxide.

The heart pumps out about 5 liters per minute. This is equivalent of an adult drinking 2 to 3 cups of coffee each day.

The blood flows throughout the heart 24/7, 365 days a calendar. While you sleep, your heart beats almost 100 times per minute.

Skin color can be used to determine if someone has a medical condition. You can see tiny blood vessels, called capillaries, when you look closely at the skin. These small vessels carry blood from the large blood vessel in the skin back towards the heart. The skin turns blue or violet when blood flow becomes blocked.

Red blood cells are not available to sickle cell patients. Patients with sickle cell disease have their blood become sticky and harden, leading to severe illness.

You can use a bandage to stop bleeding if your cut is severe. For wounds to heal properly, blood must flow. Doctors will insert a needle under the skin to access the vein near the injury. This allows blood to drain from the area.

The doctor may also insert catheters (catheters), into the artery at the site of the blood clot. This keeps patients alive until the clot has broken up naturally.

What is the most secretive place in the world, and why?

It may surprise you to hear the answer. It could even make you uncomfortable, because it challenges how reality is perceived and lived. But there is a reason why this place exists. And it is not what you would expect.

The ancient Greeks called it the City of God. In the Bible, it was known as the City of Destruction.

It's also known as Kashi (Kashmir) in India. It's also known as Novgorod in Russia.

However, in America it is called The Town that Disappeared.

A small community of 1200 people in western New York State vanished. No bodies, cars, houses, nothing was left behind except a road sign pointing to its former location.

This little community vanished and no trace remains to indicate where or when it disappeared. Some believe the earth swallowed them up. Others claim a meteorite strike destroyed it. Others believe that aliens took it.

Despite what may have happened, the people who lived in this once-thriving area are confident that their town will not be lost forever. They just moved to another city.

There's even a website that tracks the disappearances and recoveries of Zugspitz.

So where is this town? It's actually in Switzerland!

You can find Zugspitze at the border of Austria and Germany. A huge lake, Lake Zugspitze, is located just beyond the summit.

It has always fascinated me that so many towns have disappeared, yet some still remain. Is it possible that some towns disappear and others are preserved? I decided to investigate.

I wanted more information about the mysterious disappearing of towns. What makes a town disappear? How does one place go extinct?

There are many theories to explain the phenomenon of disappearing towns. One theory states that a town vanishes when all its buildings are destroyed. Another theory is that the town moves to another place. The third theory is that the town was never actually there.

The fact is that hundreds of towns all over the world have been swept away by the ground, despite theories to the contrary. This video explores the history of these towns and examines their current state.

Have you ever wondered how much trash is produced worldwide each day?

According to the United Nations, the average person produces over 2.5 pounds of daily waste. That adds up to over 25 billion pounds of garbage per year!

The majority of this garbage ends up in incinerators or landfills. But what happens when the dumpsters become full? Most of that trash is shipped out of the country. The rest is dumped abroad, where it pollutes other ecosystems. Now, we know the exact location of all this garbage. Mike Sexton is his real name. He runs a company called Waste Watchers. He spends his days watching the movements of trucks transporting trash across North America. Then he reports back to us about what happens next.

Sexton states that he finds his work very fulfilling. "We've got a lot of fun," he told CNN. "You know, we see these big rigs come through town, and we'll follow them. "Sexton began following truck drivers almost 20 years ago.

He said, "I fell in love with it."

Sexton's favorite story was about a driver who stopped at an abandoned gas station in Los Angeles. Sexton remembered, "The man was looking for somewhere to put the load." "He drove down the road and saw this building. He backed up and entered the building. "There were two enormous roll-off containers filled with stuff. The man got everything out of the truck and began filling it up again. "Then he took out everything and began to fill up the truck. There were lots of old tires, rags furniture, mattresses, mattresses, cans, cans, and other items. "It was just a total mess. But it had been cleared out before he arrived. There was no trash."

This begs the question: Why? Well, the answer is that this particular location used to be part of a recycling center.People who learned about this facility would drive here to recycle their trash. Sexton explained that people would bring home their household items, and then take them to the building. After they were done, they would dispose of the empty containers.

You might see this happen hundreds of times a day. It could happen hundreds of thousands of times a week. The truck eventually stops running because it has become so jammed with junk. And eventually, the owner decides to abandon the vehicle.

Trash is not the only problem our planet faces.

The majority of these particles are made of small pieces of plastic. Others get washed into rivers or oceans. And when they reach the ocean, they often end up in the stomachs of fish.

Experts warn us that we may soon face an international food shortage if things don't change. Experts warn, "If you keep going like you're going," we could soon face a global food shortage. But most people don't seem to be worried, even though scientists are unanimous in warning us that the world is heading towards disaster.
