I wanted more information about the mysterious disappearing of towns. What makes a town disappear? How does one place go extinct?

"He drove down the road and saw this building. So he pulled over and went inside. "There were two enormous roll-off containers filled with stuff. The man got everything out of the truck and began filling it up again. "Then, he took everything out and started filling up the truck again. There were tires, rags. furniture, mattresses. boxes, bottles, cans. It was a complete mess. But it was cleaned out before he came. There was no trash."
What is the explanation? It is because the location used to belong to a recycling centre. People who found out about this facility would drive to it to recycle their trash. "They'd bring their household items and take them to this building," Sexton explained.And after they finished, they would leave the empty containers behind.
