The Human Body: Some Unusual Facts

facts about dead bodies

Some of the most fascinating facts about human bodies are surprising to learn. An example is that the adult human skeleton changes every ten years. It has four blood categories and 206 joints. Two kidneys are also present. The human body is actually one of the most complex on the planet.

The adult human skeleton changes every ten year

Throughout adulthood, the human skeleton undergoes continuous remodeling and rebuilding. Bone remodeling and repair is a key function of bone cells. Nearly 100 percent of bone tissue in a person's body will be replaced over the course of their lives. Osteoblasts are bone cells that break down bones to make new ones. This is called bone remodeling. A bone density measurement measures the amount of bone mineral within a bone.

It has two lungs

Two lungs or lobes are located in the chest cavity. These organs can exchange air and remove carbon dioxide. Each lung is covered by a membrane, called a "pleura", which is connected to both the heart (and trachea) by the mainbronchus. The pleural membranes provide air filtration. They are thin, flexible, and light. They also allow air to enter the lungs through the mouth and nose.

It has two ears

Despite being similar, the human ears are quite different. The complex structure of the earlobe allows us to hear and walk. The average ear size for men is larger than that of women. The average ear length measures 2.5 inches. The earlobe measures 0.74 in long and 0.77 in wide. Studies show that the size of the earlobes increases with age.

FAQ

What dark secrets do Hollywood have?

Hollywood is full of secret societies. Many secret societies are cult-like and follow rigid rules. Others are just clubs for people with common interests.

However, there are many other criminal organizations that hold much of the industry's power. Companies such as the MPAA, which determines film ratings, or the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), that set music licensing fees, are examples of these.

Numerous unions/guilds also represent actors and directors as well as writers, producers, and so forth. The majority of major television networks and movie studios are owned by large corporations.

It doesn't really matter how secretive an organization may appear, there is always someone who knows exactly what they do. But that doesn't mean we should fear them.

Instead, embrace them. Because they can help us make better decisions.

They can tell us which movies and songs are likely to be successful, as well as what books and novels will be most popular.

They allow us to make informed decisions about what we buy, watch and listen to.

We can trust them and can disregard their advice if it is not in line with our preferences.

Because we have chosen to ignore their power, they are even more powerful. They become the ultimate arbiters of taste.

And if you don't like what they say, you're free to ignore them.

Now let's take a look at some lesser-known yet very real Hollywood secret society.

Observe why they are important.

What is the most interesting fact about the human body?

There are two eyes, two ears. Two nostrils. Four limbs. A mouth, nose and penis. Yes, more than 50 parts to our bodies. But one thing is missing. The heart.

A heart is a pump that circulates blood throughout the body. The blood travels through the veins and arteries, transporting oxygen and nutrients to cells. It also removes carbon dioxide.

Each minute, the heart pumps approximately 5 liters. This is equivalent of an adult drinking 2 to 3 cups of coffee each day.

The heart is constantly pumping blood, 24 hours a week, 365 day a year. While you sleep, your heart beats almost 100 times per minute.

You can tell whether someone is healthy or unhealthy because of the color of their skin. Looking closely at the skin's surface, you can see tiny blood vessels called capillaries. These tiny vessels transport blood from the larger blood vessels to the heart. If blood flow is blocked, skin can turn blue or purple.

People suffering from sickle cell disease have no red blood cells. Their blood becomes sticky and hardens, causing them to become very ill.

A bandage can be used to stop bleeding if you have cut your own skin. Blood must continue to flow to allow the wounds to heal properly. Doctors will insert a needle under the skin to access the vein near the injury. This allows the blood to drain from the injured area.

Doctors also insert tubes (catheters) into the artery near the site where the blood clot forms. This keeps the patient alive till the blood clot dissolves naturally.

These 5 facts are amazing about the liver

The liver is responsible in breaking down toxins, storing vitamins and mineral, and for regulating blood pressure. It helps maintain a steady body temperature and regulates blood pressure.

Are you familiar with the expressions, "I feel sluggish today", or "my head feels heavy"? These symptoms could indicate problems with your liver.

Common signs include yellowing skin, dark urine, fatigue, nausea and vomiting, weight loss, stomach cramps (yellow coloration), itching, and jaundice (yellow colouration). These aren’t the only warning signs. If you are experiencing any of these signs, it is important to consult your doctor right away.

The liver is an essential organ. It is responsible for detoxification as well digestion, metabolism and immunity.

  1. The average adult liver weighs 1,400g.
  2. At birth, a baby's liver is half the size of an adult. By age three, it is about four times larger than that of an infant.
  3. The liver is located just below the rib cage on the left side of the abdomen.
  4. There are 16 main lobes in the liver, but many smaller lobules are inside the lobes.
  5. Red blood cells make up approximately 10 million of the liver's total.

Did you know that there are approximately 1.6 billion metric tons of trash produced every day in the world?

The United Nations estimates that the average person generates more than 2.5 pounds of waste each day. This adds up to over 25 million pounds of garbage annually!

Most of this rubbish ends up in landfills or incinerators. But, what happens when those dumpsters fill up? Most of that trash is shipped out of the country. It is then shipped out and dumped in other countries. This pollutes the ecosystems. But now we know, thanks to one man. Mike Sexton is his name. He is the founder of Waste Watchers. He watches over trucks that transport trash across North America. He then reports back about what happens next.

Sexton stated that he finds the job very satisfying. "We've got a lot of fun," he told CNN. "We see big rigs coming through town and we'll follow them. "Sexton started following truck drivers nearly 20 years ago.

He stated, "I just fell in Love with It."

His favorite story involved a driver who pulled off at an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. Sexton remembered, "The man was looking for somewhere to put the load." "He saw the building as he drove down the road. So he pulled over and went inside. "There was a pair of large, full-sized roll-off boxes. The man got everything out of the truck and began filling it up again. "Then he took out everything and began to fill up the truck. There were a bunch of old tires, rags, furniture, mattresses, boxes, bottles, cans, and whatever else. "It was just total chaos. It had been cleaned up before he arrived. There wasn’t trash everywhere."

So why did this happen? It is because the location used to belong to a recycling centre. People who found out about this facility would drive to it to recycle their trash. Sexton explained that people would bring home their household items, and then take them to the building. After they were done, they would dispose of the empty containers.

It can happen hundreds of thousands of times per week. The truck can be stopped running if it is so full of junk that it has to come back hundreds of times per week. The owner eventually abandons the vehicle.

However, trash is not the only problem on our planet.

These tiny plastic particles make up the majority of the particles. Some end up in incinerators or landfills. Some are washed into rivers and oceans. Others end up with fish in their stomachs.

Experts warn of a possible global food crisis if nothing is done. One expert said, "If we keep going as we are going, we're never going to make it," but most people don’t seem concerned.
