creepy facts about the world

The United States developed a secret program during the Cold War to train and enlist American citizens for combat. The program was called the "United Effort" and lasted only 200 milliseconds. It was intended to collect vital data without detection. It was not designed to be released.

Today, America's top secret world is even larger than it was before the attacks of September 11, 2001. The government has created a vast network of government organizations and private contractors who work on security programs and intelligence. There are over 1,270 government intelligence agencies and more than 1000 private companies who work on homeland safety programs. These organizations and contractors must sort through an enormous amount of information and communications every day. The secret level of classified work is difficult to track.

The government has created more than thirty large office complexes for top secret intelligence work in the Washington DC area since 9/11. These complexes take up the same space as three Pentagons. 51 federal agencies also monitor money flowing through terrorist networks. These agencies have thousands of employees or contractors that are involved in the dark world of the United States.

FAQ

What is the most surprising fact about your body?

There are two eyes, two ears. Two nostrils. Four limbs. A mouth, nose and penis. Yes, more than 50 parts to our bodies. But one thing is missing. A heart.

A heart is the pump that circulates blood throughout a body. The blood moves through the veins. It transports oxygen and nutrients to your cells. It also removes carbon dioxide.

The heart pumps out about 5 liters per minute. This is equivalent in daily coffee consumption to an adult who consumes approximately 2 to 3 cups.

The heart is constantly pumping blood, 24 hours a week, 365 day a year. While you sleep, your heart beats almost 100 times per minute.

Because of the color and texture of their skin, you can tell if someone is healthy or sick. Looking closely at the skin's surface, you can see tiny blood vessels called capillaries. These vessels carry blood away to the heart via the large blood vessels. The skin becomes blue-colored or purple when blood flow is restricted.

People with sickle cells lack red blood cell. Their blood becomes sticky and hardens, causing them to become very ill.

If you cut yourself, a bandage is applied to stop the bleeding. Blood must flow in order for the wound to heal properly. Doctors will insert a needle under the skin to access the vein near the injury. This allows blood to drain from the area.

Doctors also insert tubes (catheters) into the artery near the site where the blood clot forms. This keeps the patient alive until the clot breaks up naturally.

Which is the most mysterious spot on Earth?

Antarctica is one of the most mysterious places on Earth.

This is why we find it so captivating. It is unlike any other place on Earth.

It is difficult to access because it is remote and extremely isolated. This site has more to it than meets your eye.

You will also find some of the oddest wildlife species in this natural wonder.

Let's see how this incredible destination became famous for its mystery.

Antarctica: The South Pole

No one knows exactly why Antarctica was named Antarctica. Some believe it refers to "land of ice". Others think it comes from Greek mythology.

In ancient Greece, Antarktis was the name given to the island where Zeus' twin brothers were born. According to some legends, one of these twins was born in winter. The term antarctic is derived from this.

Others believe that it is the Greek word anti, which means against, and tropos, which refers to turning. This would translate to land that is turned away from the sun.

Whatever the reason Antarctica has held a special fascination for people, it is undeniable.

It is the continent with the lowest, windiest and highest temperatures. Because it is too frigid, there are no trees, animals, or plants.

This frozen wasteland is still alive.

About 90 percent of all living things on Earth live here. You can find approximately half the world's species of animal and plant plants here.

What makes Antarctica so special? Here, water freezes into ice instead of evaporating into the air.

This results in large masses of ice floating above the ground.

These floating glaciers cover 80% of the continent. These glaciers are getting larger each year.

The Antarctic ice has grown 60 feet so far since 1960.

If the melting goes on, the sea level may rise by as much as 200 feet. It could result in massive flooding all over the world.

But not everyone thinks this is bad news. Global warming may be beneficial for some scientists. They claim that the melting of ice sheets could accelerate as temperatures rise. This would lead to flooding that removes tons of toxic chemicals and soil from our bodies.

Others warn that this theory sounds like something out of a science-fiction movie.

Have you ever wondered how much trash is produced worldwide each day?

According to the United Nations, the average person produces over 2.5 pounds of daily waste. That adds up to over 25 billion pounds of garbage per year!

Most of the trash ends up at incinerators and landfills. But, what happens to those dumpsters? Where does all that rubbish go?Well, most of it gets shipped out of the country. It is then dumped in other countries, where it pollutes their ecosystems. But now, thanks to the work of one man, we know exactly where all this trash goes. His name is Mike Sexton. He owns a company called Waste Watchers. He spends his time watching trucks hauling trash around North America. He then reports back about what happens next.

Sexton claims he is very satisfied with his job. CNN interviewed Sexton and said that he has a lot of fun. "We see these big trucks coming through town, so we'll keep following them. "Sexton started following truck drivers nearly 20 years ago.

He said, "I fell in love with it."

He loved the story of the driver who pulled into an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. "The guy was looking for someplace to put his load," Sexton recalled. "He drove down the road to see this building. So he pulled over and went inside. "There was a pair of large, full-sized roll-off boxes. The guy took everything out and started filling up the truck again. "Then he took out everything and began to fill up the truck. There were a bunch of old tires, rags, furniture, mattresses, boxes, bottles, cans, and whatever else. It was a complete mess. It had been cleaned up before he arrived. There wasn't any trash anywhere."

This is the reason why it happened. This particular spot used to be a recycling center. People would drive there to recycle their trash. Sexton explained that people would bring home their household items, and then take them to the building. After they were done, they would dispose of the empty containers.

This could happen hundreds of time per week. It could happen hundreds of thousands of times a week. The truck eventually stops running because it has become so jammed with junk. The owner finally decides to stop using the truck.

But, this isn't the only problem that our planet is facing.

Plastic pieces make up most of these particles. Some of these plastics end up in rivers or oceans.

Experts warn that the world may soon face a shortage of food if we don't make any changes. One expert said, "If we keep going as we are going, we're never going to make it," but most people don’t seem concerned.

How To

Hollywood scandals that stunned the entire world

There is nothing more shocking than witnessing someone get famous for the wrong reasons. There's nothing more shocking than watching someone fall from grace.

It's amazing to see how the industry responds to their mistakes. We've all heard stories of celebrities who used drugs and alcohol excessively. Some even died young because of it.

But, the worst part? When those stars openly discuss their issues and are ignored by everyone. We were there last week.

Heath Ledger died after a long, successful career. He succumbed after taking too many prescription medications. After a brief struggle with death, he died.

His family and close friends had difficulty accepting his death. The media took to him publically.

Heath was once thought to be one the greatest actors of all time. Two Academy Awards nominations were given to Heath for his role in Brokeback Mountain.

In addition to acting, Heath also wrote and directed films, including A Knight's Tale, Monster's Ball, and Iron Man 3.

Hollywood loved Heath, however he soon grew too big for his good looks. He started to use drugs and drink heavily. He eventually went to rehab and was clean.

After he had gotten sober, he decided to make amends. He produced a documentary called Room 237 that documented the making process of The Shining. It was supposed to hit theaters this year. However, it won't until next year.

Heath was unsuccessful in his attempts to get back into Hollywood. In fact, Heath was twice arrested on drug charges.

We're not saying Heath should have been allowed back into show business. But it would have been nice to get some help before things spiralled out of control.

We hope Heath’s tale will be a wakeup call to anyone who may believe that they can still have all.
