The North Korean Reality

scary fun facts

North Korea's current economic situation is not so bad as it appears. Although the GDP of North Korea is growing by about 2 to 3 percent per year, it is still very low in rural areas. This remarkable turnaround is impressive considering the decades-old famine in the country. One wealthy class, the "donjo", also known as "masters of cash", has emerged and is taking part in private market activities. Despite harsh economic sanctions from the United States and other nations, it has managed to do this.

North Korea, Life

North Korea is home to public transportation. Even though the majority of North Koreans don't have a car, they use public transportation for their daily commutes. Public transport is essential for the poor, who cannot afford to drive or take taxis. Although North Korean public transportation looks old-fashioned and primitive, it's the lifeline for many people. North Korea's economy depends on mining. People need other sources of income to make ends work.

North Korea's winter months are often harsh and life can be difficult. People must burn coal to stay warm, which puts them at risk of respiratory problems. In addition, temperatures can drop as low as -13degC during the day. To avoid freezing, children used to sleep on trains in the past. Passing trains could dismember children whose legs got caught on rails.

super creepy facts

Pandemic of Covid-19

The North Korean government claims victory over the Covid-19 pandemic, and has instituted strict quarantine measures. However, the disease continues to spread and is causing more deaths than ever. They are now turning inwards, making it more difficult to understand the situation than ever before. In order to understand what's going on, we need to understand the reality of life in North Korea.

Experts question the accuracy and reliability of North Korea's COVID-19 official virus statistics, but daily updates by the state-run media make the situation seem certain that the country will eradicate the disease. While it's believed that 18%, or 26 million, of the nation's 26,000,000 people, are now infected by the virus, less then 100 have actually died. There's no way to know how many more cases there are without testing.

Economic collapse

North Korean economic reforms must be undertaken if they are to achieve unification. These reforms should be done in a systematic manner. There are however additional assumptions that should be considered. These include a falling capital stock, declining productivity and large fiscal transfers from south to north.

The country experienced severe economic hardships in 1990s. The collapse of the Soviet Union and communist regimes in eastern Europe meant that North Korea lost its major trading partners and much of its foreign aid. China also reduced its supplies of materials to North Korea, but not entirely. China also began demanding cash payments for materials. A number of natural catastrophes also affected the country. This resulted in severe shortages of grain and food. Starvation was widespread by the mid-1990s.

creepy facts that make you think

Threat from the use of weapons

The United States is the most threatened nation by North Korea's weapons of mass destruction. The North Korean government has demonstrated that it has the fissile material to build six to seven nuclear weapons per year. It may even have ICBMs capable of reaching the US mainland. While the North Korean government claims it does not intend to use these weapons it still poses a serious threat.

The United States and North Korea do not currently have a war, but there is a threat of war. The United Nations Security Council has increased its sanctions against the nation. The U.S. Army reported in July 2020 that North Korea could have 60 nuclear weapons and the technical capability to produce six nuclear weapons annually. Army Gen. Mark Milley (Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff) stated that North Korea has the technical capability to produce such weapons in May 2021.

FAQ

How does the brain control the functions of your body?

The brain communicates with other organs to ensure their cooperation. Your body's functions are controlled by your brain. It tells your stomach how to digest food and your lungs how to inhale oxygen; it also tells your arms, legs and feet to move.

Your brain is made of billions, or neurons, of nerve cells. Neurons communicate with each other by sending electrical signals called action potentials on axons. Each neuron has a cell membrane surrounding its nucleus. The membrane contains channels that allow ions like sodium and potassium to enter the cell and leave it. The neuron is lit by an electric charge created by the movement of ions.

Neurotransmitters, chemical substances that are released when a neuron fires. Neurotransmitters bind to receptors on the second neuron, opening ion channels so ions can pass in and out of the channel. The second neuron also fires.

Neurotransmitter release occurs when the presynaptic neuron receives an impulse from another neuron. An impulse travels along a synaptic link between the two neuron. The transmitter binds with the receptors of the postsynaptic nerve, activating the firing of the postsynaptic neurons.

Communication within the nervous system is possible thanks to neurotransmitters. They also help coordinate activity between different parts of the brain.

What dark secrets are there in Hollywood?

Hollywood is filled secret societies. There are many secret societies in Hollywood. Some are cult-like, where members adhere to strict rules and rituals. Others are clubs for people who share similar interests.

There are other nefarious entities that have a significant influence on the industry. These include companies like the MPAA ("Motion Picture Association of America"), which determines film ratings. The RIAA ("Recording Industry Association of America") sets music licensing fees.

Numerous unions and guilds also represent actors, directors, writers, producers, etc. Large corporations own most major studios and networks of television.

The fact is that regardless of how secretive any group may be, someone somewhere knows exactly who they are. They shouldn't be fearful, however.

Instead, we should embrace these facts. Because they give us information that allows us to make better decisions.

They tell us what movies will likely succeed, what songs will be popular, and what books will best sell.

These help us to decide what we'll watch, read, listen, and buy.

We can trust their advice and we can ignore it if it contradicts our values.

We choose to ignore them and they become even more powerful. They are the ultimate judges of taste.

If you don't like their words, you can choose to ignore them.

Let's now take a look into some lesser-known but very real Hollywood secret societies.

Observe why they are important.

What is one of the most amazing facts about the human body

We have two eyes, two ears, two nostrils, four limbs, a mouth, a nose, and a penis. You're correct, there are more than 50 parts in our bodies. But, one thing is missing. A heart.

A heart is a pump that circulates blood throughout the body. The blood moves through the arteries and veins to transport oxygen and nutrients into the cells, and remove carbon dioxide.

The heart pumps out approximately 5 liters of blood per minute. This amount is equivalent to an adult drinking 2-3 cups of coffee daily.

The blood flows throughout the heart 24/7, 365 days a calendar. While you sleep, your heart beats almost 100 times per minute.

Because of the color and texture of their skin, you can tell if someone is healthy or sick. The capillaries are tiny blood vessels that can be seen on the skin's surface. These small vessels carry blood from the large blood vessel in the skin back towards the heart. If blood flow is blocked, skin can turn blue or purple.

Red blood cells are missing in people with sickle-cell disease. Their blood becomes very sticky and hardened, leading to serious illness.

If you cut yourself, a bandage is applied to stop the bleeding. The wound must remain open for blood to flow properly. Doctors place a needle in the wound and insert it through the skin. This allows blood to drain from the area.

Doctors can also insert catheters into the artery close to the area where the bloodclot has formed. This keeps the patient occupied until the clot is broken down naturally.

Is there any Hollywood blacklist for actors?

There is a Hollywood blacklist.

But the list isn't made public. We don't know the names. But here's why it matters.

The reason behind the secrecy was that blacklisted directors and actors wouldn't be able find work. So they'd go out of business, which means that the studios would lose money. That would result in a reduction in spending on movies. That would reduce the opportunities for blacklisted filmmakers. They would then go bankrupt.

This could mean more victims.

A contract may be required to agree to not speak against employers if someone attempts to make an Oscar winning movie. Producers and directors who want to be nominated are subject to the same restrictions.

That's why you hear stories about how producers pressure directors to remove scenes from their films. Directors might threaten to leave projects that don't reflect their vision.

This is why Hollywood keeps a blacklist. You'll likely become unemployed if you say bad things about your employer. That's bad for everyone.

There are many people who have been falsely accused. They've had the toil to clear their name.

We must stop this from happening again. Everybody should be able to freely express themselves.

Therefore, it is necessary to eliminate the Hollywood blacklist.
