FAQ

How does the brain control the functions of your body?

The brain sends messages to other organs and muscles to ensure they work together. Everything in your body is controlled and managed by your brain. It tells the stomach to digest food, and the lungs to breath air. It also tells your legs and arms to move.

Your brain is made up of billions upon billions of nerve cells that are connected together in groups called neuronal groups. Action potentials on Axons are an electrical signal that neurons send to each other. Each neuron has a cell membrane surrounding its nucleus. Channels within the membrane allow ions such potassium and sodium to enter and leave the cells. The electric charge that causes the neuron's fire is created by ion movement.

Neurotransmitters are chemicals released when a neuron fires. Neurotransmitters are able to bind to receptors in the second neuron. This opens ion channels that allow ions to flow in and out. The second neuron also fires.

When a presynaptic nerve receives an impulse, neurotransmitter release takes place. An impulse travels along a synaptic link between the two neuron. The transmitter binds to the receptors on the postsynaptic neural cell, which triggers the firing of that neuron.

They are vital for the communication between nerve cells. They are also responsible for coordinating activity between various parts of the brain.

Have you ever wondered how much trash is produced worldwide each day?

The United Nations estimates that the average person generates more than 2.5 pounds of waste each day. This adds up to over 25 million pounds of garbage annually!

Many of this trash ends in landfill dumps, or incinerators. But what happens if those dumpsters are full? Most of that trash is shipped out of the country. It is then shipped out and dumped in other countries. This pollutes the ecosystems. But now we know, thanks to one man. Mike Sexton is his full name. He runs a company called Waste Watchers. He spends his days watching the movements of trucks transporting trash across North America. He then gives us a report on what happens next.

Sexton stated that he finds the job very satisfying. CNN interviewed Sexton and said that he has a lot of fun. "We'll be following these big rigs through town. "Sexton started following truck driver almost 20 years back.

"I just fell in love with it," he said.

He loved the story of the driver who pulled into an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. Sexton remembered, "The man was looking for somewhere to put the load." "He drove down the street and saw this building. So he pulled over and went inside. "There were 2 large containers that had been rolled off, and they were full of stuff. The man removed everything from the truck and started to load it again. "Then he looked at the place and decided to unload everything. There were a bunch of old tires, rags, furniture, mattresses, boxes, bottles, cans, and whatever else. "It was a complete mess. But it had been cleared out before he arrived. There was not a single piece of trash.

So why did this happen? This particular spot used to be a recycling center. People would drive there to recycle their trash. Sexton explained, "They would bring their household goods and take them here," and they would then empty the containers.

This could happen hundreds of time per week. It could happen hundreds of thousands of times a week. The truck eventually stops running because it has become so jammed with junk. And eventually, the owner decides to abandon the vehicle.

Trash isn’t the only problem we face on the planet.

Many of these tiny plastic pieces end up in landfills and incinerators. Some of these plastics end up in rivers or oceans.

Experts say if nothing changes, we could soon face a global food shortage. One expert said, "If we keep going as we are going, we're never going to make it," but most people don’t seem concerned.

What is the most secretive town in the world?

It may surprise you to hear the answer. You might be uncomfortable with the truth of it, as it may challenge your perception of reality. There is a reason this place exists and it's not as you might expect.

It was called the City of God by ancient Greeks. It was also known as the City of Destruction according to the Bible.

It is called Kashi (Kashmir in India). It's also known as Novgorod in Russia.

But here in America, it goes by another name - The Town That Disappeared.

A small town in western New York State, with a population of 1,200, vanished without a trace. There were no bodies, cars or houses left behind, but a road sign that pointed to the former location was all that was left.

The little village vanished, with no trace of its existence. Some believe it was swallowed by the earth. Others believe it was destroyed by a meteorite. Still, others say aliens took it away.

Despite what may have happened, the people who lived in this once-thriving area are confident that their town will not be lost forever. They had just moved to another town.

There is even a website dedicated to tracking the disappearance of the lost city of Zugspitz.

So, where exactly did this town go? It's in Switzerland, actually!

The border of Austria and Germany is at Zugspitze. Just beyond the summit of the mountain is a huge lake called Lake Zugspitze.

It has always fascinated and astonished me to see how many towns have vanished but still exist. What is the difference between some towns that disappear and others that survive? I decided to investigate.

I wanted to learn more about mysteriously disappearing towns. What makes a town disappear? How can one place vanish from existence?

There are several theories behind the disappearing of towns. One theory says that a town disappears when all the buildings are demolished. Another theory says that the town just moves. Another theory suggests that the town has never existed.

Although theories may be a bit speculative, it is a fact that numerous towns have been destroyed by the elements. This video examines the past and present status of these areas.
