FAQ

How does the brain regulate the functions of the body?

To ensure that other organs and muscle functions work together, the brain sends messages. Everything in your body is controlled and managed by your brain. It tells both your stomach and lungs what to do; it also controls your legs and arms.

Your brain is made up of billions upon billions of nerve cells that are connected together in groups called neuronal groups. Action potentials are electrical signals that neurons send to one another. Every neuron has an outer cell membrane that surrounds its nucleus. The cell membrane houses channels that allow ions, such as potassium and sodium, to enter and exit the cells. Ion movement is what causes the neurons to fire.

When a neuron is activated, neurotransmitters release chemicals into the space between it and the next neuron. Neurotransmitters are able to bind to receptors in the second neuron. This opens ion channels that allow ions to flow in and out. This causes the second neuron to fire too.

When a presynaptic nerve receives an impulse, neurotransmitter release takes place. The impulse travels along the synapse connecting the two neurons. The transmitter binds with the receptors of the postsynaptic nerve, activating the firing of the postsynaptic neurons.

For communication within the nervous systems, neurotransmitters are essential. They are also responsible for coordinating activity between various parts of the brain.

What is the most secretive place in the world, and why?

This question might surprise you. You might be uncomfortable with the truth of it, as it may challenge your perception of reality. But there is a reason why this place exists. And it is not what you would expect.

It was called the City of God by ancient Greeks. According to the Bible, it was called the City of Destruction.

It is called Kashi (Kashmir in India). In Russia, it's called Novgorod.

It's called The Town That Has Disappeared here in America.

One tiny town in western New York State lost its 1,200 inhabitants without trace. With the exception of a road marker pointing to its former site, there were no remains: cars, bodies, houses.

This tiny town vanished without any trace. Some say the earth swallowed it up. Some claim it was destroyed by a meteorite impact. Still, others say aliens took it away.

Despite what may have happened, the people who lived in this once-thriving area are confident that their town will not be lost forever. They had just relocated to another town.

Even a website exists to help track down the disappearances of the lost city Zugspitz.

So, where exactly did this town go? Well, it's in Switzerland!

Zugspitze lies on the border between Austria and Germany. The lake Lake Zugspitze is just beyond the mountain's summit.

It has always fascinated my that so many towns have disappeared but others still exist. Is it possible that some towns disappear and others are preserved? I decided that I would investigate.

I was interested in learning more about these mysterious towns that are disappearing. What causes a town to disappear? What makes a place disappear?

There are several theories behind the disappearing of towns. One theory is that a city disappears after all buildings have been demolished. Another theory holds that the town simply relocates to another location. The third theory is that the town was never actually there.

There are many theories, but the truth is that thousands of towns around the world have been submerged by the earth. This video explores the history of these towns and examines their current state.

Is there a Hollywood blacklist of actors?

There is a Hollywood blacklist.

The list is not made public. According to our knowledge, the names of these people aren't known. This is why it matters.

The secret reason is that directors and actors who are on the blacklist would not be able to find employment. Thus, they would leave the industry and studios will lose money. It would mean they would reduce their expenditure on movies. This would result in fewer opportunities available for blacklisted filmmakers. This would make them bankrupt.

Which could ultimately result in more victims.

If someone attempts to make an Oscar-winning movie, they may be asked to sign a contract stating that they will not speak out against their employers. Any director or producer who would like to be nominated for an award is subject to the same rules.

It's no surprise that directors are often forced to take out scenes in their films by producers. Directors might threaten to leave projects that don't reflect their vision.

This is why Hollywood keeps a blacklist. Negative comments about your employer will most likely lead to you being unemployed. This is bad news for anyone.

The problem is that many people have been falsely accused. They have had to fight for their freedom.

This is unacceptable behavior and must be stopped. We must ensure that everyone has the right to express themselves freely.

Also, we must take down the Hollywood blacklist.

What is the most surprising fact about your body?

Two eyes, two ears, 2 nostrils, 4 limbs, 1 nose, 1 penis and one mouth are all there. We have over 50 parts of our bodies. However, one thing is missing. A heart.

A heart is a pump, which circulates blood throughout our bodies. Blood travels through the arteries and veins, carrying oxygen and nutrients to the cells and removing carbon dioxide and waste products.

Each minute, the heart pumps 5 liters of blood. This is equivalent of an adult drinking 2 to 3 cups of coffee each day.

The heart pumps blood 24 hours a days, 365 days per year. While you are sleeping, your heart beats about 100 times per second.

Color of your skin is a good indicator of whether someone is healthy. If you examine the skin closely, you will see tiny blood vessels called capillaries. These vessels carry blood away to the heart via the large blood vessels. If blood flow is blocked, skin can turn blue or purple.

People with sickle cells lack red blood cell. Their blood becomes extremely sticky and hardened, which can lead to very serious illnesses.

A bandage can be used to stop bleeding if you have cut your own skin. Blood must flow in order for the wound to heal properly. Doctors place a needle in the wound and insert it through the skin. This allows the blood to drain from the injured area.

Doctors can also insert catheters into the artery close to the area where the bloodclot has formed. This keeps the patient alive till the blood clot dissolves naturally.
