It has always fascinated and astonished me to see how many towns have vanished but still exist. Is it possible that some towns disappear and others are preserved? I decided that I would investigate.
I wanted more information about the mysterious disappearing of towns. What causes a town to disappear? How can a town disappear from existence?
It turns out that there are several theories about the phenomenon of vanishing towns. One theory suggests that a community disappears when all of its buildings are removed. Another theory holds that the town simply relocates to another location. A third theory holds that the town did not exist.
Theories aside, the fact remains that dozens of towns around the globe have been swallowed up by the ground. This video looks into the history of those places and investigates their current status.
How does your brain control the functions within your body?
The brain relays messages to other parts of the body to ensure their functionality. Everything in your body is controlled and managed by your brain. It tells your stomach to digest food and your lungs to breathe air; it tells your arms and legs to move.

Neurotransmitter production occurs when a neuron in the presynaptic receives an impulsive signal from another. The impulse travels along an synapse between the neurons. The transmitter binds with the receptors of the postsynaptic nerve, activating the firing of the postsynaptic neurons.
For communication within the nervous systems, neurotransmitters are essential. They coordinate brain activity among different parts.
