Some places are not accessible to the average person. Some are exclusive to the wealthy and others are only available to the poor. These are the most secret places on earth that most of us will never have the chance to visit. Read on to find out more about these places and where you can go to see them.
Menwith Hill Royal Air Force Station
Menwith Hill Royal Air Force Station hosts US drone operations. These missions are classified and are used to kill terrorists. They are also used by the government to monitor emails, phone calls and Google searches. Since 1954, the base has been operational and successive British governments have apparently cooperated with its operation. MPs have been denied access to it repeatedly.
Menwith Hill has been involved with several "capture/kill" operations. Snowden's documents don't reveal the details of these fatal incidents, but it is clear the base was used to kill hundreds of civilians over the past decade. Its mission also played a major role in the drone strikes in Yemen.
North Sentinel Island
Since 1997, North Sentinel is off limits to outsiders. Because of the risk of spreading diseases from other countries, contact with the island was banned by the Indian government. And the people on the island are not very welcoming to visitors. They have lived in solitude for more than 50,000 year. The Sentinelese would prefer that their island remain as is.

It is estimated that the population is between eighty to 150 people, although actual numbers could be significantly larger. They speak their own language and live in huts that have slanted roofs. They also build their own narrow outrigger canoes and carry bows and arrows. They hunt for food, and harvest crabs as well as fish.
Baikal
Lake Baikal in Siberia holds the record for the deepest ocean. It's also the most ancient. It also houses more than 1,700 different species of animals and plants. Almost 33% of these species can only be found in the Lake. Scientists from all over the world have joined their Soviet counterparts in an ambitious research program.
The water of Lake Baikal is remarkable clean, but it is also affected by pollution. These contaminants are transported up the food-chain by the small creatures Epischura, which live near the lake. They are then absorbed by larger fish. Lake Baikal is home to nerpa, omul, and golumyanka.
Mount Weather complex
For decades, the Mount Weather complex has remained a top secret location in Washington, DC. The complex has many facilities, including an emergency medical facility, a crematorium, a radio and television studio, and an Emergency Broadcasting System. The facility can hold up to 2000 people in an emergency. However, it is highly unlikely that anyone will ever make use of the entire complex. Following a severe electric power outage, which occurred in Washington, D.C. on April 7, 2015, the facility briefly reopened.
The Mount Weather complex is one of the most secret locations in the world. Hidden underground, the location can only be accessed with a specific code. Once the code is decoded it's possible to access it. The complex is secured by a shield as well as a computerized surveillance system once it's inside. There are several secret passages to the complex as well underground rooms that have different systems. Two underground buildings are located in the middle of the complex. These buildings host the main services of the complex.

Haiku Stairs
Haiku Stairs can be a difficult climb and is not recommended to the faint of heart. Haiku Stairs can be found in the Pacific Ocean. The area is also home of a radio station which broadcasts to Navy vessels all across the Pacific Ocean. These stairs can only be climbed by those who are physically fit.
The stairs have been off limits to the public since 1987 due to the danger of trespassing. You can be fined up to $1000 if you climb these stairs in daylight hours. Guards keep watch over the area. Police helicopters are often seen hovering above the stairs.

What is the most intriguing fact about the human anatomy?
Two eyes, two ears and two nostrils are part of our bodies. We also have four limbs: a mouth, nose, penis, and four limbs. Yes, more than 50 parts to our bodies. But one thing is missing. A heart.
The heart is a pump that circulates blood throughout your body. The blood flows through the veins and arteries to carry oxygen and nutrients to the cells.
The heart pumps about 5 liters blood per minute. This is equivalent in daily coffee consumption to an adult who consumes approximately 2 to 3 cups.
The heart pumps blood 24 hours a days, 365 days per year. When you're asleep, your heart beats approximately 100 times per hour.
The color of someone's skin can tell if they are healthy or not. The capillaries are tiny blood vessels that can be seen on the skin's surface. These small vessels carry blood from the large blood vessel in the skin back towards the heart. The skin turns blue or violet when blood flow becomes blocked.
People with sickle cell disease lack red blood cells. They become very sick when their blood becomes hardened and sticky.
Bandages are used to stop bleeding after you have cut yourself. For the wound to heal properly, blood must continue to flow. Doctors place a needle in the wound and insert it through the skin. This allows blood drainage from the injury area.
Doctors may also insert catheters (catheters), in an artery to treat a blood clot. This helps to keep the patient alive until the blood clot disintegrates naturally.
Have you ever wondered what amount of trash is generated each day worldwide?
The United Nations estimates that the average person generates more than 2.5 pounds of waste each day. This adds up to over 25 million pounds of garbage annually!
Most of this rubbish ends up in landfills or incinerators. But, what happens when those dumpsters fill up? Most of that trash is shipped out of the country. The trash is then sent out of the country and dumped in countries where it pollutes ecosystems. But, one man has now discovered exactly where this rubbish goes. Mike Sexton is his name. He is the owner of Waste Watchers. His job involves monitoring the movements and routes of trash trucks across North America. Then he reports back to us about what happens next.
Sexton said he enjoys his job. "We've got a lot of fun," he told CNN. "We'll be following these big rigs through town. "Sexton started following truck driver almost 20 years back.
"I just fell in love with it," he said.
His favorite story is about a driver that pulled into an abandoned gas station just outside Los Angeles. "The guy was looking for someplace to put his load," Sexton recalled. "He drove along the road and saw this structure. He backed up and entered the building. "There were two large roll-off containers full of stuff. He took out everything and began to fill up the truck. "The man looked around the area and decided to unload all of it. There were a bunch of old tires, rags, furniture, mattresses, boxes, bottles, cans, and whatever else. "It was just total chaos. It had been cleaned up before he arrived. There wasn't any trash."
Why did this happen? Well, the answer is that this particular location used to be part of a recycling center.People who learned about this facility would drive here to recycle their trash. Sexton explained, "They would bring their household goods and take them here," and they would then empty the containers.
It can happen hundreds of thousands of times per week. This could happen hundreds times per week. Finally, the truck stops running completely due to its excessive junk. The owner eventually abandons the vehicle.
Trash, however, isn't the only problem facing our planet. As you may have noticed, things are getting worse.According to experts, pollution levels have risen dramatically in recent years.More than half of all water bodies on Earth are polluted.Pollution from industrial chemicals has increased by more than 30 percent since 1980.Even the air we breathe is becoming increasingly toxic.A study by the World Health Organization found that the average person inhales around 100 million particles daily.
These tiny plastic particles make up the majority of the particles. Some end up in incinerators or landfills. Others get washed into rivers or oceans. And when they reach the ocean, they often end up in the stomachs of fish.
Experts warn us that we may soon face an international food shortage if things don't change. One expert said, "If we keep going as we are going, we're never going to make it," but most people don’t seem concerned.
What is your most secretive community?
This question might surprise you. You might be uncomfortable with the truth of it, as it may challenge your perception of reality. But there is an explanation for why this place exists, and it's not what you would expect.
It was known as the City of God to the ancient Greeks. In the Bible, it was known as the City of Destruction.
In India, it's called Kashi (Kashmir). It's also known as Novgorod in Russia.
But here in America, it goes by another name - The Town That Disappeared.
A small town in western New York State, with a population of 1,200, vanished without a trace. It was abandoned without any remains, including no bodies, cars, or houses. The only thing that survived was a road sign, which pointed to its former location.
This little community vanished and no trace remains to indicate where or when it disappeared. Some say the earth swallowed it up. Some claim it was destroyed by a meteorite impact. Still, others say aliens took it away.
The people of this once-thriving community, however, are positive that the town won't disappear forever. They had just relocated to another town.
A website is available to track the disappearance and recovery of Zugspitz, which was lost in the Great Depression.
Then, where is it? It's actually in Switzerland!
Zugspitze is located on the border between Germany and Austria. Just beyond the summit of the mountain is a huge lake called Lake Zugspitze.
I have always been fascinated by the fact that so many towns have vanished, but some remain. Why is it that some disappear while others live on? I set out to find out.
I was interested in learning more about these mysterious towns that are disappearing. What causes a community to disappear? How can one place vanish from existence?
There are many theories regarding the phenomenon of towns disappearing. One theory says that a town disappears when all the buildings are demolished. Another theory holds that the town simply relocates to another location. The third theory is that the town was never actually there.
No matter what theories you may have, there is no doubt that many towns across the globe were swallowed by the ground. This video examines the history and current status of these places.
