Secret Underground Bases

dark secrets of celebrities

Since long, the subject of secret underground bases has been a matter of contention. These bases have been seen by some to be used as launch pads for flying saucers. Others believe they were made in the Space Force. Others include the Department of Defense (British Army), and the Soviet Union. The question is: What are these underground facilities like?

Department of Defense

A few decades ago, the U.S. Department of Defense was building secret underground bases to protect the United States from potential alien invasion. The Military Office of the White House had established a multi-million-dollar secret fund to help build more than 75 facilities. This money was funneled through MJ-12, a hidden organization that paid contractors for top-secret military bases as well as underground alien bases. The president's fund eventually paid contractors to build these shelters and bases.

British Army

Two reasons made it possible for British soldiers to hide in underground bases during WWII were: The first was to avoid detection by Nazi radar, and the second was for protection from enemy forces. These secret bases were constructed by units or Royal Engineers. Their entrances were concealed and included bunks, Elsan toiles, and enough supplies that they could last for two weeks. The underground secret bases were also used to provide cover as the Germans passed by.

Libya

BBC has access to the complex located beneath Col Muammar Gadaffi, former leader of Libya. It is home to communication equipment, food supplies, water, weapons, and other essentials. It is the ultimate powerbase, with everything required to run a nation.

FAQ

What dark secrets are there in Hollywood?

Hollywood is full of secret societies. Many secret societies are cult-like and follow rigid rules. Others are just clubs for people with common interests.

But there are also more nefarious organizations that control much of the industry. There are companies like the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America), who sets film ratings and the RIAA, which sets music licensing fees.

Numerous unions/guilds also represent actors and directors as well as writers, producers, and so forth. Most major movie studios and television networks are owned by large corporations which own these various organizations.

It is obvious that, no matter how secretive or obtuse a group appears, someone knows exactly what they do. But that doesn't mean we should fear them.

Instead, we should embrace these facts. Because they provide us with information that helps us make better decisions.

They can tell us which movies and songs are likely to be successful, as well as what books and novels will be most popular.

They allow us to make informed decisions about what we buy, watch and listen to.

We can trust them so we can ignore their advice when it doesn't suit our taste.

They are more powerful than ever because we chose to ignore them. They are the ultimate judges of taste.

You are free to ignore their messages if that bothers you.

Let's take a closer look at some of the less-known, yet still very real Hollywood secret clubs.

You can see why they are so vital.

What is the most secretive town in the world?

This question might surprise you. It could even make you uncomfortable, because it challenges how reality is perceived and lived. But there is a reason that this place exists. It isn't what you would expect.

It was called the City of God by ancient Greeks. In the Bible, it was known as the City of Destruction.

It's known in India as Kashi (Kashmir). It is also called Novgorod in Russia.

However, in America it is called The Town that Disappeared.

A small town in western New York State, with a population of 1,200, vanished without a trace. With the exception of a road marker pointing to its former site, there were no remains: cars, bodies, houses.

This tiny community disappeared without leaving any clues as to where it went or when. Some say the earth swallowed it up. Others say it was destroyed in a meteorite collision. Some claim that it was destroyed by a meteorite strike. Others still believe it was stolen away by aliens.

Despite what may have happened, the people who lived in this once-thriving area are confident that their town will not be lost forever. They had just moved from one town to the other.

A website is available to track the disappearance and recovery of Zugspitz, which was lost in the Great Depression.

So where is this town? It's actually in Switzerland!

You can find Zugspitze at the border of Austria and Germany. Lake Zugspitze can be found just beyond the summit.

It has always fascinated my that so many towns have disappeared but others still exist. What is the difference between some towns that disappear and others that survive? I decided to investigate.

I was interested in learning more about these mysterious towns that are disappearing. What makes a town disappear? How can one place vanish from existence?

There are many theories to explain the phenomenon of disappearing towns. One theory is that a city disappears after all buildings have been demolished. Another theory is that the town moves to another place. The third theory is that the town was never actually there.

Theories aside, the fact remains that dozens of towns around the globe have been swallowed up by the ground. This video examines the past and present status of these areas.

How does your brain control your body's functions?

The brain sends messages to other organs and muscles to ensure they work together. Your brain controls all that happens in your body. It tells you your stomach to digest food; your lungs to inhale air; and it tells you your arms and legs how to move.

Your brain consists of billions of nerve cells connected in groups called neurons. Neurons communicate with each other by sending electrical signals called action potentials on axons. Every neuron has an outer cell membrane that surrounds its nucleus. There are channels within the membrane that allow ions such a sodium or potassium to enter and exit the cell. The electric charge that causes the neuron's fire is created by ion movement.

Neurotransmitters are chemicals released when a neuron fires. Neurotransmitters attach to the receptors of the second neuron and open ions channels for ions to pass in and out. As a result, the second neuron fires too.

Neurotransmitter release occurs when the presynaptic neuron receives an impulse from another neuron. The impulse travels along the synaptic pathway that connects both neurons. The transmitter binds to receptors on the postsynaptic neuron, triggering the firing of the postsynaptic neuron.

For communication within the nervous systems, neurotransmitters are essential. They coordinate activity between the different parts of your brain.
