The United States Air Force uses the Gulfstream III military jet aircraft. These aircraft are designed to transport the President and Commander-in-Chief during war or crisis. Air Force One is sometimes used to refer the aircraft to the president when he is onboard. They often land at an Airbase within an hour from the President's place. In case of a serious emergency, the plane will drop off the President at a command post on the ground.
The Gulfstream is a large plane but not the largest. It's also not expensive. However, if a crisis strikes, the plane must be able to get its crew to safety. You will need a large press room, showers, and anti-missile and satellite communication systems. Security also requires self-defense electronics and jamming systems.
In case of conflict, the US air force would like large aircraft produced in America. This includes C-5s, C-20Cs and the C-32A. In the beginning, two of these aircraft were not expected to be bought. However, a study conducted in August 1993 concluded that the USAF may exercise its option to acquire half of the 120 available.

Initial concerns were raised by the air force that a commercial airline might not be able carry the president. However, the aircraft were eventually given to the Air Force Reserve and the Air National Guard. Since then, many of these aircraft have been given to the Air Force System Command as well as the US Forest Service. Many of these aircraft have been made into presidential transports.
The aircraft were known until recently as C-20Cs. The aircraft were then registered as N770GA to the Department of the Air Force in Washington, DC. On April 29, 2010, aircraft were transferred to AMARC Boeing Cecil Field Jacksonville FL. After this transfer, the aircraft was reregistered as QF-16C drone.
The antenna that can reach eight kilometers extends from the aircraft's nose to the ground. The antenna can be used to communicate with submarines. Some aircraft have high-frequency radio communications antennas. Communications gear includes 85 telephones as well as 55 different antennas. There is also a jamming system that protects the aircraft from anti-aircraft rockets.
Before the Gulfstream III was introduced to this fleet, the aircraft used the name C-17. This name is derived from the famed C-17 Globemaster II that was built and flown in the United States Army Air Forces. The first time the aircraft flew was in 1949. The C-17 was later named Spirit of Charleston.

The aircraft's main cabin is pressurized and has a nearly square cross section. Seven lavatories, an emergency station and a freezer with 1,000 Ib (or 454 kg) of frozen food are included in the aircraft's main cabin. The ramp can be lowered to allow for parachute drops while you fly. Many of the aircraft are made out of aluminum alloy. Composites are used in the landing gear sponsons, control surface, landing-gear door and winglets.
FAQ
What is the most mysterious area on earth?
Antarctica is considered the most mysterious area on Earth.
Why is this place so amazing? Because it's unlike any other place in the world.
It is remote and difficult to reach. But there is more to this site than meets the eye.
You will also find some of the oddest wildlife species in this natural wonder.
Let's now see how this amazing destination came to be so well-known for its mystery.
Antarctica: The South Pole
Antarctica is named for no one. Some believe it refers to "land of ice". Others believe it comes out of Greek mythology.
Antarktis is the name Antarktis was given to an island in ancient Greece by Zeus' twin brothers. According to legend, one of the twins was born in winter. This is why the word "antarctic" was chosen.
Others believe that the name is a combination of the Greek words anti and tropos which mean against and turn. This would translate to land that is turned away from the sun.
Whatever the reason Antarctica holds a special fascination, people have always loved it.
It is the coldest, windiest, driest and highest continent. There are no trees, plants, or animals here because it is too cold.
Yet, life is abundant in this frozen wilderness.
It is home to approximately 90 percent of all life on Earth. You can find approximately half the world's species of animal and plant plants here.
What is Antarctica? Here water freezes to ice and not evaporates into the atmosphere.
This causes large ice masses to rise above the ground.
These glaciers cover more than 80% of the continent. They continue to grow in size each year.
The Antarctic ice sheet has grown 60ft since 1960.
If the melting goes on, the sea level may rise by as much as 200 feet. That could cause massive flooding around the globe.
This is not necessarily bad news. Global warming may be beneficial for some scientists. According to scientists, global warming could be good for us because the melting of the ice sheets will accelerate, which can lead to floods that release toxic chemicals into our soil and bodies.
However, others caution that this theory sounds a lot like a plot in a science fiction movie.

Why are actors blacklisted?
As an actor, rejection is much more common than for writers. An actor will probably be rejected quite often. You will find someone who loves and accepts you eventually.
Actors can often make a living from acting because they are very talented. Actors don't really care about making money. They love acting, and they love telling stories. Actors are likely to be outspoken.
Sometimes, auditions are cancelled because you are either too young or too old for the job. Or, you could lose out on a role in a movie. It happens all the time.
Once you've been cast you might also be subject to criticism. Many people will tell you you look horrible or that you shouldn't be wearing make-up. If you're lucky, you won't even hear negative comments.
Sometimes, your performance as a fictional character can be ridiculed. You could be a gay actor and everyone assumes you are straight. Perhaps you play a woman that is supposed to be strong but who cries a lot.
Sometimes, they ask you to change your voice. Sometimes they ask for you to sound like a male or female. They want you to sound better most of the time.
These criticisms should be ignored. Actors can feel like they have failed when they are told they did something wrong. But the truth is that they haven't done anything wrong.
They just weren't born with the talent that made them famous. Sometimes, no matter what they do, they just don't fit the bill.
There are many reasons an actor might be blacklisted. Some people don't like actors. Others think actors can be lazy. Others still believe that actors cheat.
No matter what the reason, you won't be blacklisted if your persistence persists. There are many roles available, and you will find them.
As long as you keep trying, you'll eventually succeed.
What is the most secretive place in the world, and why?
The answer may shock you. You might be uncomfortable with the truth of it, as it may challenge your perception of reality. There is a reason this place exists and it's not as you might expect.
The City of God was its name by the ancient Greeks. It was also called the City of Destruction in the Bible.
It is also called Kashi in India (Kashmir). It is called Novgorod (Russia).
But here in America, it goes by another name - The Town That Disappeared.
A small community of 1200 people in western New York State vanished. It was abandoned without any remains, including no bodies, cars, or houses. The only thing that survived was a road sign, which pointed to its former location.
This tiny community disappeared without leaving any clues as to where it went or when. Some claim the earth swallowed it. Others claim a meteorite strike destroyed it. Others claim it was taken away by aliens.
Whatever happened, the residents of this once-thriving community are convinced that their town isn't gone forever. They had just moved from one town to the other.
A website is available to track the disappearance and recovery of Zugspitz, which was lost in the Great Depression.
So where is this town? It's in Switzerland, actually!
You can find Zugspitze at the border of Austria and Germany. Just beyond the summit of the mountain is a huge lake called Lake Zugspitze.
It has always fascinated and astonished me to see how many towns have vanished but still exist. Why do some disappear while others survive? I set out to find out.
I wanted to learn more about mysteriously disappearing towns. What causes a community to disappear? How does one place go extinct?
It turned out that there are many theories about disappearing towns. One theory is that a city disappears after all buildings have been demolished. Another theory suggests that the town simply moves somewhere else. A third theory holds that the town did not exist.
Although theories may be a bit speculative, it is a fact that numerous towns have been destroyed by the elements. This video examines the history and current status of these places.

How To
American history secret societies and clubs
Many reasons make American History's secret societies and clubs fascinating. They are mysterious because of this. Their impact on our society is another reason.
Secret societies and clubs have been used throughout America's history to promote ideas that would otherwise be considered taboo. Anti-Semitism is one example of such ideas. These groups also promoted political ideologies such communism, socialism, and other socialist ideas.
The Ku Klux Klan was the most famous American group. This group was established in 1865, after the Civil War had ended. It was created to protect white men against African Americans.
Other organizations established during this period were the Knights Templars and Freemasons. These organizations shared the same beliefs and goals.
Another interesting thing about secret societies is the fact that membership was often restricted to males. However, some women belonged to these groups. These women included Emma Goldman. Margaret Sanger and Susan B Anthony.
In addition to the groups mentioned above, other secret societies did not share the same ideals. The Order of Skull & Bones is an example of a secret society that was established in 1832. Their goal was the creation of an elite class in the United States.
