It is not known why Antarctica was called Antarctica. Some believe it is "land of the ice". Others think it comes from Greek mythology.

So far, the Antarctic ice sheet has grown 60 feet since 1960.

If the melting continues, sea level could rise up to 200ft. This could lead to widespread flooding.

But not everyone thinks this is bad news. Global warming may be beneficial for some scientists. They say that as temperatures rise, the ice sheets might melt faster, causing floods that flush out tons of toxic chemicals from our soil and bodies.

Others warn that this theory sounds like something out of a science-fiction movie.

How does the brain control the functions of your body?

To ensure that other organs and muscle functions work together, the brain sends messages. Your body's functions are controlled by your brain. It tells your stomach how to digest food and your lungs how to inhale oxygen; it also tells your arms, legs and feet to move.

Your brain is made of billions, or neurons, of nerve cells. Action potentials on Axons are an electrical signal that neurons send to each other. Every neuron has a cell wall around its nucleus. Channels within the membrane allow ions such potassium and sodium to enter and leave the cells. The electric charge that causes the neuron's fire is created by ion movement.

When a neuron fires, chemicals called neurotransmitters are released into the space between the neuron and the next neuron. Neurotransmitters can bind to receptors at the second neuron. They open ions channels, allowing ions to move in and outside of the channel. The second neuron also fires.

He stated, "I just fell in Love with It."

He loved the story of the driver who pulled into an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. Sexton described, "The guy was looking somewhere to put his load." "He drove down the road and saw this building. So he pulled over and went inside. "There was a pair of large, full-sized roll-off boxes. The man got everything out of the truck and began filling it up again. "Then he took out everything and began to fill up the truck. There were lots of old tires, rags furniture, mattresses, mattresses, cans, cans, and other items. "It was just a total mess. But it was cleaned out before he came. There was no trash."

Why did this happen? The answer is that this location was once part of a recycling facility. People who knew about it would drive to this location to recycle their garbage.
