Presidents use secrecy for many reasons: to protect the country, to foster diplomacy, and to gain power. However, there's a fine line between secrecy and open government, and presidents have long struggled to strike that balance. Here are some secrets of presidential business dealings and documents.
Secrets of presidential documents
The United States government keeps a list of classified documents. These documents are only accessible to officials with the proper security clearances. This government also demands that the documents be transported electronically and physically, and kept secure. This system is based upon the constitutional power of the president to classify material. Since World War II, several presidents have issued executive orders protecting such documents. President Barack Obama issued the most recent directive in 2009.
Secrets of presidential documents are typically kept at top-security facilities, such as the White House Situation Room. These documents are not available to the president after he leaves office. Hence, the government says, he cannot take them with him.
Secrets to presidential business dealings
The Obama White House has been exposed by Secrets of Presidential Business Deals. It's the culmination four years worth of research. This dark portrait paints a grim picture of a corrupt president, who has used his office for his own personal gain and to promote his business. He used his position to benefit foreign governments, special interests groups, and wealthy donors by staging lavish events.

FAQ
What is the most mysterious place on earth?
Antarctica is one of the most mysterious places on Earth.
This is why we find it so captivating. It is unlike any other place on Earth.
It is very remote and isolated. It is not what you see.
You will also find some of the oddest wildlife species in this natural wonder.
Let's look at how this extraordinary destination became so mysterious.
Antarctica: The South Pole
No one knows exactly why Antarctica was named Antarctica. Others believe it means "land with ice". Others think it comes from Greek mythology.
Antarktis, the Greek name for the island on which Zeus' twin brothers were conceived, was used in ancient Greece. According to legend, one of the twins was born in winter. The term antarctic is derived from this.
Others believe the name was derived from the Greek words tropos, which means turn, and anti, meaning against. This would be land turned away form the sun.
Whatever the reason Antarctica has always been a fascination for people.
It is the continent with the lowest, windiest and highest temperatures. There are no trees, plants, or animals here because it is too cold.
Yet, life is abundant in this frozen wilderness.
It is home to approximately 90 percent of all life on Earth. There are about 50% of the world's animal, plant and plant species.
What is it that makes Antarctica so unique? Here water freezes to ice and not evaporates into the atmosphere.
This creates large masses of ice that float above the ground.
These floating glaciers cover over 80%. They're getting bigger every year.
The Antarctic Ice Sheet has grown 60 feet in the past 60 years.
The sea level could rise to 200 feet if the melting continues. This could lead to widespread flooding.
However, not all scientists believe this to be bad news. Some scientists suggest that global warming could actually be good for us. They claim that the melting of ice sheets could accelerate as temperatures rise. This would lead to flooding that removes tons of toxic chemicals and soil from our bodies.
Others, however, warn that this theory sounds almost like a plot for a science fiction film.
Do you wonder how much trash is produced each day across the globe?
According to the United Nations there are more than 25 billion tons of garbage produced each year.
Most of this rubbish ends up in landfills or incinerators. But, what happens when those dumpsters fill up? Most of that trash is shipped out of the country. It is then shipped out and dumped in other countries. This pollutes the ecosystems. But now we know, thanks to one man. Mike Sexton is his nickname. He owns a company called Waste Watchers. He spends his time watching trucks hauling trash around North America. He reports back to us about the next steps.
Sexton says he finds his job very satisfying. CNN asked Sexton if he thought it was a lot of fun. "We see these big trucks coming through town, so we'll keep following them. "Sexton began to follow truck drivers around 20 years ago.
He stated that he fell in love with the product.
His favorite story involved a driver who pulled off at an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. Sexton recalls, "The guy was searching for somewhere to put his loads." "He drove down the street and saw this building. He pulled over and went in. "There were two large roll-off containers full of stuff. The man took all the stuff out and filled up his truck with more. "Then, he took everything out and started filling up the truck again. There were lots of old tires, rags furniture, mattresses, mattresses, cans, cans, and other items. "It was just total chaos. But it had been cleaned out before he came along. There wasn’t trash everywhere."
This is the reason why it happened. Well, the answer is that this particular location used to be part of a recycling center.People who learned about this facility would drive here to recycle their trash. Sexton explained that people would bring home their household items, and then take them to the building. After they were done, they would dispose of the empty containers.
It can happen hundreds of thousands of times per week. This could happen hundreds times per week. Finally, the truck stops running completely due to its excessive junk. The owner eventually decides to dump the truck.
Trash isn’t the only problem we face on the planet.
Many of these tiny plastic pieces end up in landfills and incinerators. Others end up in rivers, oceans or the stomachss of fish.
Experts warn of a possible global food crisis if nothing is done. One expert said, "If we keep going as we are going, we're never going to make it," but most people don’t seem concerned.
What dark secrets are there in Hollywood?
Hollywood is filled secret societies. There are many secret societies in Hollywood. Some are cult-like, where members adhere to strict rules and rituals. Others are clubs for people who share similar interests.
Some of the most powerful organizations in the industry are even more dangerous. There are companies like the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America), who sets film ratings and the RIAA, which sets music licensing fees.
Many unions and guilds represent actors, directors writers, producers, and others. Most major movie studios and television networks are owned by large corporations which own these various organizations.
It is obvious that, no matter how secretive or obtuse a group appears, someone knows exactly what they do. They shouldn't be fearful, however.
Instead, embrace them. Because they give us information that allows us to make better decisions.
These people tell us what movies and songs will succeed, and which books will sell best.
These help us to decide what we'll watch, read, listen, and buy.
Because we can trust them, we can ignore their advice when it conflicts with our tastes.
They are more powerful than ever because we chose to ignore them. They are the ultimate arbiters and judges of taste.
And if you don't like what they say, you're free to ignore them.
Let's now look at some lesser-known, but still very real Hollywood secret organizations.
And see why they're so important.

Hollywood scandals that stunned the world
There's nothing more shocking than watching someone become famous for the wrong reasons. It's even more frightening to see them fall from grace.
It's amazing to see how the industry responds to their mistakes. We have all heard of celebrities who overdosed on drugs and alcohol. Some even died young because of it.
It's worse when stars make public their problems, and then are ignored by everyone. Last week, that's exactly where we were.
Heath Ledger, after a long and successful professional career, finally gave in to his demons. He succumbed after taking too many prescription medications. After a brief struggle with death, he died.
His family and friends struggled to accept his passing, and the media had a field day bashing him publicly.
Heath was once one of the most gifted actors currently working. His performance in Brokeback Mountain earned him two Academy Awards nominations.
Heath, in addition to acting, also wrote and directed films such as A Knight's Tale (Monster's Ball) and Iron Man (3).
Hollywood loved Heath. But he was too big for his boots. He started taking drugs and drinking heavily. He ended up in rehab and became clean.
After he had gotten sober, he decided to make amends. He made a documentary called "Room 237," that chronicled the making and release of The Shining. It was supposed to be released this year, but now it won't hit theaters until next year.
Heath tried unsuccessfully to get into Hollywood again, but nothing happened. In fact, Heath was twice arrested on drug charges.
While we aren't saying Heath shouldn't have been allowed back in the show business, However, it would be nice if he could get some help before things spiral out of control.
We hope Heath's story will serve as a warning to others who may think they can still have everything.
