Did you know that cremated remains weigh an average of three to nine pounds? In the past, people believed freshly-exercised human blood was healing. They would pay executioners warm to drink it from the gallows. It also wasn't uncommon to die while skydiving or dancing. London's mayor ordered six-foot graves for the deceased in 1665. In Victorian Era times, widows were required to be buried in their own graves for a minimum of two years. They would then be cremated.
Locked-in Syndrome
Locked-in syndrome is a medical condition that causes severe brain damage. It can severely impact your quality and life expectancy, and may need to be treated over time. It is caused by damage to your pons which contains important neuronal pathways as well as motor fibers. These fibers link the grey matter of the brain to the spine cord. If these fibers are damaged, locked-in syndrome may occur. It can also affect facial control, speaking centers, and other areas of the brain.
Amoebae
Amoebas are one of the smallest forms on Earth. Amoebas aren't dangerous but they can be very strange. Amoebas have no stomach, instead surrounding their prey and slowly digesting them. They can also stay inside the victim's cell for a longer time.

Syphilis
Syphilis can be a deadly disease that can lead to life-threatening complications. Early detection is key, because it can be curable if caught in the early stages. Secondary and tertiary stage can lead to more severe problems, and even death. Syphilis symptoms are different for each person. Sore throat, hair fall, and fever are some of the symptoms. In severe cases, it can even affect your brain and heart.
Sleep paralysis caused by locked-in syndrome
A common complication to stroke is Locked in Syndrome. This happens when nerves in the brainstem become damaged. The body becomes paralyzed. It can lead to paralysis, which can result in difficulty walking, breathing, speaking, and even swallowing. Most common causes of locked in syndrome are hemorhagic or ischemic stroke. Although this condition can be difficult to diagnose, doctors can help patients by taking certain steps to assist them.
The human body sheds a lot of skin
Scientists have estimated that humans shed between 0.03 and 0.09 g each hour. This is equivalent to 35 kilograms in a person's lifetime. These tiny flakes form the bulk of house dust and are the most common type of shed skin. As the flakes contain squalene oil, they react with ozone to pollute air in homes, offices, and even aeroplanes. There are ways to prevent skin from building up in your home, without compromising the air quality.
Alchemists used brain tissue to make elixirs that would give them eternal life.
Alchemists have long sought to discover the secret of eternal life, and have attempted to find a way to use brain matter to create a substance that will grant immortality. There are many theories about the substance, some of them interconnected. One source claims that the Holy Grail contains the magic potion that unlocks the key to eternal life. Another source cites the Hindu scriptures to describe the drink for gods, Amrita, which was made from an ocean full of milk. It is also called Nectar or Ambrosia by the Greeks.

Dead skin causes sleep paralysis
Sleep paralysis, a sleep disorder that hinders your ability to have a restful night of sleep, is known as insomnia. This condition can be caused by poor sleep quality and insomnia. However, it is possible to prevent this condition from happening by practicing good sleep hygiene. This includes avoiding the use of electronics before bed, avoiding naps during the day, and avoiding stimulants near bedtime.
Locked-in Syndrome causes hair to grow back after death
It is now less common than it once was. Scientists had never been able to explain this condition. But now, thanks to several scientific discoveries, Locked-in Syndrome is less of a mystery. This disorder was discovered by an Elle magazine editor. After her mother's death, she began to grow back hair on her fingers. The twitching eventually spread throughout her hand and arm. She described how she felt a sense of accomplishment at being able to scratch her nose. Marsh shared her story and gave an exclusive insight into her syndrome, even though she hadn't previously spoken about it.
FAQ
What is the most secretive place in the world, and why?
The answer to that question may shock you. You might be uncomfortable with the truth of it, as it may challenge your perception of reality. However, there's a reason for this place to exist. It's not what we would expect.
It was called the City of God by ancient Greeks. According to the Bible, it was called the City of Destruction.
It's also known as Kashi (Kashmir) in India. It's also known as Novgorod in Russia.
But here in America, it goes by another name - The Town That Disappeared.
A small community of 1200 people in western New York State vanished. It was abandoned without any remains, including no bodies, cars, or houses. The only thing that survived was a road sign, which pointed to its former location.
This tiny town vanished without any trace. Some believe it was swallowed by the earth. Others claim that a meteorite hit destroyed it. Still, others say aliens took it away.
The residents of this once prosperous community believe that whatever happened, their town is not gone forever. They had just moved to a new town.
A website is available to track the disappearance and recovery of Zugspitz, which was lost in the Great Depression.
The question is, where did this place go? Well, it's in Switzerland!
Zugspitze lies on the border between Austria and Germany. Just beyond the summit of the mountain is a huge lake called Lake Zugspitze.
It's always fascinated me how so many towns disappear, yet others remain. Why do some disappear while others survive? I decided to investigate.
I wanted to learn more about mysteriously disappearing towns. What causes a community to disappear? How can one place vanish from existence?
It turns out that there are several theories about the phenomenon of vanishing towns. One theory states that a town vanishes when all its buildings are destroyed. Another theory suggests that the town simply moves somewhere else. A third theory claims that the town never existed at all.
No matter what theories you may have, there is no doubt that many towns across the globe were swallowed by the ground. This video explores the history of these towns and examines their current state.
What is one of the most amazing facts about the human body
There are two eyes, two ears. Two nostrils. Four limbs. A mouth, nose and penis. We have over 50 parts of our bodies. However, one thing is missing. A heart.
A heart is a pump, which circulates blood throughout our bodies. The blood flows through the veins and arteries to carry oxygen and nutrients to the cells.
The heart pumps out approximately 5 liters of blood per minute. This amount is equivalent to an adult drinking 2-3 cups of coffee daily.
The blood flows throughout the heart 24/7, 365 days a calendar. When you're asleep, your heart beats approximately 100 times per hour.
Skin color can be used to determine if someone has a medical condition. The capillaries are tiny blood vessels that can be seen on the skin's surface. These tiny vessels transport blood from the larger blood vessels to the heart. If blood flow is blocked, skin can turn blue or purple.
Red blood cells are missing in people with sickle-cell disease. They become very sick when their blood becomes hardened and sticky.
Bandages are used to stop bleeding after you have cut yourself. Blood must continue to flow to allow the wounds to heal properly. To do this, doctors insert a needle through the skin into the vein next to the injury. This allows the blood to drain from the injured area.
The doctor may also insert catheters (catheters), into the artery at the site of the blood clot. This keeps the patient occupied until the clot is broken down naturally.
Is there an Hollywood blacklist?
There is an Hollywood blacklist.
The list isn’t available for public viewing. As far as we are aware, the names are not even known. It matters because of this.
The secret is because the directors and actors on blacklist wouldn't have any job opportunities. So they'd go out of business, which means that the studios would lose money. That would result in a reduction in spending on movies. The blacklisted filmmakers would have fewer chances. They would then go bankrupt.
Which could ultimately result in more victims.
If someone attempts to make an Oscar-winning movie, they may be asked to sign a contract stating that they will not speak out against their employers. The same goes for any director or producer who wants to get nominated for an award.
This is why you'll hear about directors being pressured by producers to take scenes out of their films. Or how directors threaten to walk away from projects that don't fit their vision.
This is why Hollywood keeps a blacklist. Negative comments about your employer will most likely lead to you being unemployed. This is bad news for anyone.
The problem is that many people have been falsely accused. It's been a struggle to get their names cleared.
This kind of thing must stop before it can happen again. We need to ensure everyone has the right of expression.
So we need to take down the Hollywood blacklist.
Have you ever wondered how much trash is produced worldwide each day?
The United Nations estimates that the average person generates more than 2.5 pounds of waste each day. This adds up to over 25 million pounds of garbage annually!
The majority of this garbage ends up in incinerators or landfills. But what happens when the dumpsters become full? Most of that trash is shipped out of the country. The rest is dumped abroad, where it pollutes other ecosystems. Now, we know the exact location of all this garbage. Mike Sexton is his nickname. He runs a company called Waste Watchers. He spends his days watching the movements of trucks transporting trash across North America. He then gives us a report on what happens next.
Sexton says he finds his job very satisfying. CNN interviewed Sexton and said that he has a lot of fun. "We see big rigs coming through town and we'll follow them. "Sexton began following truckers almost 20 year ago.
He stated, "I just fell in Love with It."
His favorite story involved a driver who pulled off at an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. Sexton remembered, "The man was looking for somewhere to put the load." "He drove down the road to see this building. So he pulled over and went inside. "There was a pair of large, full-sized roll-off boxes. The man got everything out of the truck and began filling it up again. "The man looked around the area and decided to unload all of it. There were lots of old tires, rags furniture, mattresses, mattresses, cans, cans, and other items. "It was just an absolute mess. But it had been cleaned before he arrived. There wasn't any trash."
So why did this happen? Well, the answer is that this particular location used to be part of a recycling center.People who learned about this facility would drive here to recycle their trash. "They'd bring their household items and take them to this building," Sexton explained. And after they finished, they would leave the empty containers behind.
This can happen hundreds of times a week. The truck can be stopped running if it is so full of junk that it has to come back hundreds of times per week. And eventually, the owner decides to abandon the vehicle.
But, this isn't the only problem that our planet is facing.
Plastic pieces make up most of these particles. Some of these plastics end up in rivers or oceans.
Experts warn us that we may soon face an international food shortage if things don't change. Experts warn that "if we keep going the way we are, we're not going make it," although scientists agree that the world is heading toward disaster. Most people, however, don't seem to be concerned.
