Why do actors get blacklisted in the first place?
Actors are more likely to be rejected than writers. If you're an actor, you'll probably get rejected a lot. But it doesn't matter because eventually, you'll find someone who loves you.
Actors are typically very talented and can earn a living virtually anywhere. Actors don't really care about making money. Actors enjoy acting and telling stories. Actors are likely to be outspoken.
It is possible to be told that you are not suitable for the role, or that you are too old or too young. You might also lose your audition for a film role. It happens all too often.
You may be criticised once your casting is complete. Many people will tell you you look horrible or that you shouldn't be wearing make-up. If you're lucky, you won't even hear negative comments.
Sometimes, you might be criticised for playing a role that isn’t authentic or realistic. Perhaps you're a gay man who everyone believes is straight. Or maybe you play a woman who is supposed to be tough, but she cries a lot.
You might be asked to change the sound of your voice. Sometimes, they will ask you to sound more like a woman or a man. Most of the time, however, they want to hear better.
It is best to ignore these criticisms. Actors often feel like they've failed if they're told they did something wrong. They haven't done any wrong.
They weren't born with the talents that made them famous. And sometimes, no matter how hard they try, they don't fit the bill.
An actor can be blacklisted for many reasons. Some people don't like actors. Others think actors can be lazy. Others believe actors cheat.
Whatever your reason, it doesn't matter. You won't get blacklisted for trying. There are plenty of jobs available and you'll find them.
You'll succeed as long as you keep trying.

How does the brain control the functions in your body?
To ensure that other organs and muscle functions work together, the brain sends messages. The brain controls everything that happens in your body. It tells you your stomach to digest food; your lungs to inhale air; and it tells you your arms and legs how to move.
Your brain is made up of billions upon billions of nerve cells that are connected together in groups called neuronal groups. Neurons communicate by sending electrical signals, called action potentials, on axons. Every neuron has an outer cell membrane that surrounds its nucleus. There are channels within the membrane that allow ions such a sodium or potassium to enter and exit the cell. Ion movement is what causes the neurons to fire.
Neurotransmitters, which are chemicals that release neurotransmitters when a neuron fires up, can be found in the space between the neurons and the next one. Neurotransmitters can bind to receptors at the second neuron. They open ions channels, allowing ions to move in and outside of the channel. As a result, the second neuron fires too.
Neurotransmitter production occurs when a neuron in the presynaptic receives an impulsive signal from another. The impulse travels along an synapse between the neurons. The transmitter binds to the receptors on the postsynaptic neural cell, which triggers the firing of that neuron.
Neurotransmitters are important for communication within the nervous system. They coordinate brain activity among different parts.
