What is your most secretive community?

The answer to that question may shock you. It might even make you uncomfortable because it challenges our perception of reality and how we live. But there is a reason that this place exists. It isn't what you would expect.

It was also called the City of God in ancient Greek. It was also called the City of Destruction in the Bible.

It's also known as Kashi (Kashmir) in India. It is called Novgorod (Russia).

It is known as The Town That Disappeared in America.

One small community in western New York State with 1,200 residents vanished without a trace. A road sign pointing to the former location of the town was all that was left, except for a few bodies and cars.

This tiny community disappeared without leaving any clues as to where it went or when. Some say the earth swallowed it up. Some claim it was destroyed by a meteorite impact. Still, others say aliens took it away.

The residents of this once prosperous community believe that whatever happened, their town is not gone forever. They had just moved to another town.

A website is available to track the disappearance and recovery of Zugspitz, which was lost in the Great Depression.

You might be wondering where this town went. It's actually in Switzerland!

You can find Zugspitze at the border of Austria and Germany. A huge lake, Lake Zugspitze, is located just beyond the summit.

It has always fascinated me that so many towns have disappeared, yet some still remain. Why do some disappear while others survive? I decided to investigate.

I wanted more information about the mysterious disappearing of towns. What causes a town to disappear? How can one place become extinct?

It turned out that there are many theories about disappearing towns. One theory says that a town disappears when all the buildings are demolished. Another theory is that the town moves to another place. The third theory is that the town was never actually there.

Although theories may be a bit speculative, it is a fact that numerous towns have been destroyed by the elements. This video examines the history and current status of these places.

Have you ever wondered what amount of trash is generated each day worldwide?

According to the United Nations the average person creates more than 2.5 lbs of waste daily. That adds up over 25 billion kilos of garbage every year.

The majority of this garbage ends up in incinerators or landfills. But what happens when the dumpsters become full? Most of that trash is shipped out of the country. It is then dumped in other countries, where it pollutes their ecosystems. But now, thanks to the work of one man, we know exactly where all this trash goes. His name is Mike Sexton. He runs a company called Waste Watchers. He spends his days watching the movements of trucks transporting trash across North America. He reports back to us about the next steps.

Sexton says he finds his job very satisfying. CNN interviewed Sexton and said that he has a lot of fun. "You know, we see these big rigs come through town, and we'll follow them. "Sexton began following truck drivers almost 20 years ago.

He stated, "I just fell in Love with It."

His favorite story involved a driver who pulled off at an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. Sexton described, "The guy was looking somewhere to put his load." "He drove down the street and saw this building. He backed up and entered the building. "There were two huge roll-off containers there filled with stuff. The man took all the stuff out and filled up his truck with more. "The man looked around the area and decided to unload all of it. There were many old tires, furniture, rags and mattresses. "It was just an absolute mess. But it had been cleaned out before he came along. There wasn't any trash anywhere."

This is the reason why it happened. Well, the answer is that this particular location used to be part of a recycling center.People who learned about this facility would drive here to recycle their trash. "They'd bring their household items and take them to this building," Sexton explained. And after they finished, they would leave the empty containers behind.

You might see this happen hundreds of times a day. The truck can be stopped running if it is so full of junk that it has to come back hundreds of times per week. The owner eventually decides to dump the truck.

Trash isn’t the only problem we face on the planet.

Many of these tiny plastic pieces end up in landfills and incinerators. Others get washed into rivers or oceans. And when they reach the ocean, they often end up in the stomachs of fish.

Experts warn us that we may soon face an international food shortage if things don't change. One expert said, "If we keep going as we are going, we're never going to make it," but most people don’t seem concerned.

How does the brain control the functions in your body?

To ensure that other organs and muscle functions work together, the brain sends messages. Everything in your body is controlled and managed by your brain. It tells the stomach to digest food, and the lungs to breath air. It also tells your legs and arms to move.

Your brain is made up of billions upon billions of nerve cells that are connected together in groups called neuronal groups. Neurons communicate by sending electrical signals, called action potentials, on axons. Every neuron has an outer cell membrane that surrounds its nucleus. Inside the membrane are channels that allow ions such as sodium and potassium to enter and leave the cell. The neuron is lit by an electric charge created by the movement of ions.

When a neuron fires, chemicals called neurotransmitters are released into the space between the neuron and the next neuron. Neurotransmitters are able to bind to receptors in the second neuron. This opens ion channels that allow ions to flow in and out. The second neuron also fires.

When a presynaptic nerve receives an impulse, neurotransmitter release takes place. The impulse travels along the synaptic pathway that connects both neurons. The transmitter binds directly to the receptors in the postsynaptic nervous neuron, and triggers the firing.

They are vital for the communication between nerve cells. They also help coordinate activity between different parts of the brain.
