Combat artists captured the reality of war
The reality of war was captured by combat artists in WW2, who captured images of the horrors of war and the complexities of conflict. These artists often worked in the field, embedding themselves with their designated units, so that they could capture the war at close quarters. Orville Fish was one of these artists. He strapped a waterproof pen to his wrist so that he could sketch the battle at D-Day.
They also documented the war and created thousands upon thousands of pieces of artwork that were later published in magazines or publications. Many of these works were also displayed in national exhibitions. These images chronicled many battles and events in the Pacific and European theaters. These images often had captions that describe the events.
Artists For Victory group
Artists for Victory (WWII) was a nonprofit organization that brought together over ten million artists to aid the war effort. To promote the war effort, the group worked in partnership with businesses and government agencies. This group had one mission: to win the war for the United States.

Artists formed the group to combat philistinism. They also wanted to use their artistic talents in order to support the war effort. It was the only group of its kind. The group promised to produce five hundred thousand hours of art in support of the war effort.
Looted Art
Many pieces of art that were taken by Nazis during World War II have been returned their rightful owners. Recently, Pierre Auguste Renoir's Nudes in Landscape revealed that the painting had been taken from the German Jewish banker. Hugo Simon was a banker but also an art collector. The painting was returned by Simon's heirs.
Many pieces of art that were stolen in WW2 have been returned. However, some pieces are still in danger. Many of these pieces were shipped to the USSR during World War II. Russia is legally obligated to return these pieces. Many of these works are housed in Moscow museums, and the Polish government plans seven more restitution requests.
After the war, objects recovered
You can find out the provenance of art objects using many resources. The National Gallery of Art performed extensive research to discover the history of art. Their focus was on World War II. They discovered many links between art object owners and their objects. This website provides extensive archival and wartime histories which make it easy for you to find out the origin of an object.

There are three main collections that contain objects that were found after the war. These collections consist of a mix cultural and historical objects that were taken or traded. The Nazis took cultural property, particularly Jewish property. They used systematic methods to identify the most valuable collections. Although some of the seized artifacts were eventually returned their rightful owners by the authorities, many are still unknown.
Donated objects to USSR
The National Archives of the United States recently released a CDROM, which documents the transfer of cultural heritage from the United States of America to the Soviet Union. It includes facsimile inventories of approximately half a millenial cultural objects. Most of these cultural treasures were plundered by the Nazis and taken to Germany, but the Soviet copies of these items do not exist in Russia's archives.
These items were used in the USSR's war effort. During WW2, more than 25 million Soviets died in a battle with Nazi Germany. Despite many defeats, the Soviet Union rebuilt and marched towards Berlin despite numerous losses in the first 18 month of the war. The United States provided enormous economic and military aid to the Soviet Union to support the war effort.

Why do actors end up on the blacklist?
When you're an actor, there's more rejection than when you're a writer. As an actor, it's likely that you will be rejected a lot. It doesn't matter if you get rejected a lot because eventually you'll meet someone you love.
Actors are typically very talented and can earn a living virtually anywhere. Actors aren't always interested in making a living. Actors love acting, and love telling stories. It's likely that you will be acting if your passion is acting.
It is possible to be told that you are not suitable for the role, or that you are too old or too young. Sometimes, you may lose an audition for a movie. It happens all the time.
However, once you have been cast, it is possible to face criticism. People may tell you that your makeup looks terrible and you shouldn't use it. If you're lucky, you won't even hear negative comments.
Sometimes, you might be criticised for playing a role that isn’t authentic or realistic. Maybe you play a gay man, and everyone thinks you're straight. Maybe you are a woman who is tough but cries often.
Sometimes, they ask you to change your voice. Sometimes, they want you to sound more like a man or a woman. Most times, though, they want you to sound better.
The best way to deal with these criticisms is to ignore them. Actors sometimes feel like failures when they hear they were wrong. They haven't done any wrong.
They weren't born with the talents that made them famous. They don't always fit the bill, no matter how hard they try.
An actor can be blacklisted for many reasons. Some people don't like actors. Some people think actors are lazy. Others think actors are lazy.
No matter what the reason, you won't be blacklisted if your persistence persists. There are plenty of jobs available and you'll find them.
You will eventually succeed if you keep trying.
Did you know that there are approximately 1.6 billion metric tons of trash produced every day in the world?
According to the United Nations, the average person produces over 2.5 pounds of daily waste. That adds up to over 25 billion pounds of garbage per year!
The majority of this garbage ends up in incinerators or landfills. But what happens when the dumpsters become full? All that trash ends up being shipped out of country. The trash is then sent out of the country and dumped in countries where it pollutes ecosystems. But, one man has now discovered exactly where this rubbish goes. His name is Mike Sexton. He is the founder of Waste Watchers. He watches over trucks that transport trash across North America. He reports back to us about the next steps.
Sexton claims he is very satisfied with his job. CNN spoke with Sexton that they have a lot fun. "We often see large rigs passing through our town and we will follow them. "Sexton began following truckers almost 20 year ago.
"I just fell in love with it," he said.
Sexton loved the story about the driver who pulled over at an abandoned gas station close to Los Angeles. Sexton recalls, "The guy was searching for somewhere to put his loads." "He drove down the street and saw this building. So he backed up and went inside. "There was a pair of large, full-sized roll-off boxes. He took out everything and began to fill up the truck. "Then he took out everything and began to fill up the truck. There were old tires and rags, furniture pieces, mattresses, mattresses and boxes. "It was just a total mess. But it had been cleared out before he arrived. There wasn't any trash."
Why did this happen? This particular spot used to be a recycling center. People would drive there to recycle their trash. Sexton explained that they would bring household items and take them to the building. Then, after they were done, they would empty the containers.
This can happen hundreds of times a week. It can happen hundreds of time per week. Eventually, the truck is so full of junk it stops running. The truck eventually stops running and the owner decides that it is time to get rid of the vehicle.
Trash is not the only problem our planet faces.
These tiny plastic particles make up the majority of the particles. Some end up in incinerators or landfills. Others get washed into rivers or oceans. And when they reach the ocean, they often end up in the stomachs of fish.
Experts warn that if there is no change, the world could soon be facing a food shortage. "If we keep going like we're going, we're not going to make it," one expert warned. But even though scientists agree that the world is headed toward disaster, most people don't seem worried.
Is there an Hollywood blacklist?
There is an Hollywood blacklist.
But the list isn't made public. As far as we know, the names aren't even known. But, here's why it matters.
The reason behind the secrecy was that blacklisted directors and actors wouldn't be able find work. Thus, they would leave the industry and studios will lose money. It would mean they would reduce their expenditure on movies. The blacklisted filmmakers would have fewer chances. This would make them bankrupt.
This could result in even more victims.
If someone attempts to make an Oscar-winning movie, they may be asked to sign a contract stating that they will not speak out against their employers. For any producer or director that wants to be nominated, the same applies.
That's why you hear stories about how producers pressure directors to remove scenes from their films. Or directors threaten to walk out of projects that don’t match their vision.
This is why there is a Hollywood blacklist. If you are negative about your employer, you'll most likely go unemployed. This is bad news for anyone.
The problem is that many people have been falsely accused. It's been a struggle to get their names cleared.
This must be stopped before it happens again. It is essential that everyone has the freedom to express their opinions.
We need to get rid of Hollywood's blacklist.

How To
Hollywood scandals that shocked all of the world
There is nothing more shocking than witnessing someone get famous for the wrong reasons. But, it's equally shocking to watch them fall from the graces.
The best thing about watching how an industry reacts when it makes mistakes is the best part. We've all heard stories of celebrities who used drugs and alcohol excessively. Some even died young because of it.
But, the worst part? When those stars openly discuss their issues and are ignored by everyone. Last week, that's exactly where we were.
Heath Ledger lost his long and successful career. He took too many prescription pills and died shortly after.
His family and friends were unable to accept his death, and the media was quick to criticize him.
Heath was once considered one of the most talented actors working today. He was nominated for two Academy Awards for his performance in Brokeback Mountain.
Heath, in addition to acting, also wrote and directed films such as A Knight's Tale (Monster's Ball) and Iron Man (3).
Hollywood loved Heath but he grew too large for his boots. He started to use drugs and drink heavily. Eventually, he went to rehab and came out clean.
He wanted to make amends now that he was sober. He made a documentary called "Room 237," that chronicled the making and release of The Shining. It was originally scheduled to release this year, but it won’t be available in theaters until next.
Heath attempted to get into Hollywood every time. In fact, he was actually twice arrested for drug-related charges.
While we aren't saying Heath shouldn't have been allowed back in the show business, However, it would be nice if he could get some help before things spiral out of control.
We hope Heath’s tale will be a wakeup call to anyone who may believe that they can still have all.
