The most secret places on Earth

dark facts about life

There are some places on earth that the average human will never have the opportunity to see or experience. Some are available only to the wealthy, and some are reserved for those who are poor. These are some of the most remote places on Earth that most people will never get to see. Read on to find out more about these places and where you can go to see them.

Menwith Hill Royal Air Force Station

Menwith Hill Royal Air Force Station is home to US drone operations. These missions are kept secret and are used to attack terrorists around the globe. They can also be used to monitor calls, emails and Google searches. Since 1954, the base has been operational and successive British governments have apparently cooperated with its operation. MPs have been denied access to it repeatedly.

Menwith Hill has been involved in a number of "capture-kill" operations. Snowden did not give details about the fatal incidents in his documents, but it is clear that the base was used in the massacre of hundreds civilians over the past ten years. Its mission has also been a key part in drone strikes in Yemen.

North Sentinel Island

The remote island of North Sentinel has been off limits to outside contact since 1997. Because of the risk of spreading diseases from other countries, contact with the island was banned by the Indian government. The people of the island are not open to strangers. They have lived in isolation for over 50,000 years. The Sentinelese desire their island to remain that way.

short creepy facts

It is estimated that the population is between eighty to 150 people, although actual numbers could be significantly larger. They speak a dialect of their own and live in huts with slanted roofs. They can also construct their own narrow outrigger kayaks and are proficient at using bows or arrows. They hunt for food and harvest fish and crabs.

Baikal

Lake Baikal in Siberia has the deepest water level in the world. It is also one of the oldest. And it's home to more than 1,700 species of plants and animals. Nearly 33% are found only in the Lake. A program of ambitious research has brought together scientists from all corners of the globe and their Soviet counterparts.

The water of Lake Baikal is remarkable clean, but it is also affected by pollution. Epischura, tiny creatures that live near the shore, ingest these contaminants and transport them up the food chain. They then accumulate in the bodies of larger fish. The endemic fish of Lake Baikal include nerpa, omul and golumyanka.

Mount Weather complex

For decades, the Mount Weather complex has remained a top secret location in Washington, DC. The complex contains many facilities such as an emergency medical unit, a crematorium. A radio and television station and an Emergency Broadcasting System. In theory, the facility can accommodate up to 2000 people in an emergency. The entire facility is unlikely to be used by anyone. The facility was briefly activated in the aftermath of a major electric power outage in the Washington, D.C. area on April 7, 2015.

Mount Weather is one of the most hidden locations in the entire world. It is underground and can only be reached with a unique code. It is possible to gain access once a code has been decoded. Once inside, the complex is protected by a shield and a computerized surveillance system. There are several secret passages leading to the complex and a number of underground rooms, which contain various systems. Two underground buildings are found in the centre of the complex. These buildings house the major facilities of the complex.

FAQ

Did you know that there are approximately 1.6 billion metric tons of trash produced every day in the world?

According to the United Nations the average person creates more than 2.5 lbs of waste daily. That adds up over 25 billion kilos of garbage every year.

Most of the trash ends up at incinerators and landfills. But, what happens to those dumpsters? The majority of this rubbish is sent out of the country. The rest is dumped abroad, where it pollutes other ecosystems. Now, we know the exact location of all this garbage. Mike Sexton is his real name. He runs Waste Watchers, a company that monitors the movements of trucks carrying trash all across North America. Then he reports back to us about what happens next.

Sexton said he enjoys his job. "We've got a lot of fun," he told CNN. "We often see large rigs passing through our town and we will follow them. "Sexton began following truckers almost 20 year ago.

"I just fell in love with it," he said.

He loved the story of the driver who pulled into an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. Sexton recalls, "The guy was searching for somewhere to put his loads." "He saw the building as he drove down the road. So he pulled over and went inside. "There were two huge roll-off containers there filled with stuff. The man took all the stuff out and filled up his truck with more. "The man looked around the area and decided to unload all of it. There were lots of old tires, rags furniture, mattresses, mattresses, cans, cans, and other items. "It was just an absolute mess. But it was cleaned out before he came. There wasn’t trash everywhere."

So why did this happen? The answer is that this location was once part of a recycling facility. People who knew about it would drive to this location to recycle their garbage. Sexton explained, "They would bring their household goods and take them here," and they would then empty the containers.

Now, because of the way the law works, once a container reaches its destination, it cannot be opened. So no matter how often someone takes something out of it, the thing will never be emptied.Every time the truck comes by, it has to start over again. This can happen hundreds of times a week.Eventually, the truck becomes so overloaded with junk that it stops running. The truck eventually stops running and the owner decides that it is time to get rid of the vehicle.

Trash, however, isn't the only problem facing our planet. As you may have noticed, things are getting worse.According to experts, pollution levels have risen dramatically in recent years.More than half of all water bodies on Earth are polluted.Pollution from industrial chemicals has increased by more than 30 percent since 1980.Even the air we breathe is becoming increasingly toxic.A study by the World Health Organization found that the average person inhales around 100 million particles daily.

Many of these tiny plastic pieces end up in landfills and incinerators. Some end up in rivers and oceans, while others end up in fish's stomachs.

Experts warn of a possible global food crisis if nothing is done. Experts warn, "If you keep going like you're going," we could soon face a global food shortage. But most people don't seem to be worried, even though scientists are unanimous in warning us that the world is heading towards disaster.

How does your brain control your body's functions?

The brain sends messages to other organs and muscles to ensure they work together. Everything that happens within your body is controlled by the brain. It tells your stomach to digest food and your lungs to breathe air; it tells your arms and legs to move.

Your brain consists of billions of nerve cells connected in groups called neurons. Action potentials, which are electrical signals sent by neurons to each other via axons, allow them to communicate with one another. Each neuron is covered by a cell membrane. Channels within the membrane allow ions such potassium and sodium to enter and leave the cells. The neuron is lit by an electric charge created by the movement of ions.

Neurotransmitters, chemical substances that are released when a neuron fires. Neurotransmitters can bind to receptors at the second neuron. They open ions channels, allowing ions to move in and outside of the channel. As a result, second neuron fires as well.

When another neuron sends an impulse to the presynaptic neural cell, neurotransmitter is released. The impulse travels along an synapse between the neurons. The transmitter binds at the receptors of the post-synaptic Neuron and triggers its firing.

They are vital for the communication between nerve cells. They also help coordinate activity between different parts of the brain.

What is the most fascinating fact about the human body

We have two eyes and two ears, two nostrils each, four limbs, four limbs and a penis. That's right, we have more than 50 parts of our bodies, but one thing is missing. A heart.

A heart is a pump that circulates blood throughout the body. The blood moves through the veins. It transports oxygen and nutrients to your cells. It also removes carbon dioxide.

Each minute, the heart pumps 5 liters of blood. This is equivalent in daily coffee consumption to an adult who consumes approximately 2 to 3 cups.

Blood flows throughout the heart 24 hours per day, 365 Days a Year. While sleeping, your heart beats close to 100 times per minute.

You can tell whether someone is healthy or unhealthy because of the color of their skin. If you examine the skin closely, you will see tiny blood vessels called capillaries. These small vessels carry blood away from the large blood vessels in the skin back to the heart. If blood flow is blocked, skin can turn blue or purple.

Red blood cells are missing in people with sickle-cell disease. Patients with sickle cell disease have their blood become sticky and harden, leading to severe illness.

Bandages are used to stop bleeding after you have cut yourself. Blood must continue to flow to allow the wounds to heal properly. Doctors insert a needle into the injured area through the skin. This allows blood flow to the area that has been injured.

Doctors may also insert catheters (catheters), in an artery to treat a blood clot. This keeps the patient occupied until the clot is broken down naturally.

Is there an Hollywood blacklist?

There is a Hollywood blacklist.

But, the list has not been made public. According to our knowledge, the names of these people aren't known. Here's why this matters.

The secret is because the directors and actors on blacklist wouldn't have any job opportunities. They would go out of business which would mean that studios would lose their money. Which means they'd cut back on spending money on movies. This would result in fewer opportunities available for blacklisted filmmakers. This would make them bankrupt.

This could eventually lead to more victims.

When someone tries making an Oscar winning movie they might be asked for a contract. This means that they can't publicly criticize their employer. The same goes for any director or producer who wants to get nominated for an award.

This is why you'll hear about directors being pressured by producers to take scenes out of their films. Directors might threaten to leave projects that don't reflect their vision.

This is the reason there is a Hollywood blacklist. If you speak negatively about your employer, you will likely be fired. This is not good news for anyone.

There are many people who have been falsely accused. These people have had to fight to clear their names.

This must be stopped before it happens again. Everybody should be able to freely express themselves.

We must get rid of the Hollywood blacklist.

How To

American history is full of secret societies and clubs

Many reasons make American History's secret societies and clubs fascinating. They are mysterious because of this. Their impact on our society is another reason.

American history has seen secret societies and clubs used to promote ideas that were otherwise taboo. Some of these ideas include racism and anti-Semitism. These groups helped spread political ideologies like communism or socialism.

The Ku Klux Klan is America's most well-known organization. This group was founded in 1865 following the Civil War. Its purpose was protect white men against African Americans.

The Knights Templar and Freemasons were also created during this time. They all had similar goals and beliefs.

Another fascinating aspect of secret societies was that their memberships were often limited to males. However, these groups had some female members. These women included Emma Goldman (Margaret Sanger) and Susan B Anthony.

Other secret societies, aside from the ones mentioned, did not share the same ideals. In 1832, the Order of Skull & Bones was formed. Their goal was to create an elite group within the United States.
