There were tires, rags. furniture, mattresses. boxes, bottles, cans. It was a complete mess. But it had been cleared out before he arrived. There wasn't any trash anywhere."

This is the reason why it happened. It is because the location used to belong to a recycling centre. People who found out about this facility would drive to it to recycle their trash. Sexton explained, "They would bring their household goods and take them here," and they would then empty the containers.
