FAQ

How does the brain control the functions of your body?

To ensure that they work together, messages are sent by the brain to other organs. Your brain controls all that happens in your body. It tells your stomach to digest food and your lungs to breathe air; it tells your arms and legs to move.

Your brain consists of billions of nerve cells connected in groups called neurons. Action potentials, which are electrical signals sent by neurons to each other via axons, allow them to communicate with one another. Every neuron has a cell wall around its nucleus. The membrane contains channels that allow ions like sodium and potassium to enter the cell and leave it. Ion movement is what causes the neurons to fire.

When a neuron is activated, neurotransmitters release chemicals into the space between it and the next neuron. Neurotransmitters are able to bind to receptors in the second neuron. This opens ion channels that allow ions to flow in and out. The second neuron also fires.

When another neuron sends an impulse to the presynaptic neural cell, neurotransmitter is released. An impulse travels along a synapse that connects the two neurons. The transmitter binds at the receptors of the post-synaptic Neuron and triggers its firing.

Neurotransmitters are important for communication within the nervous system. They also help coordinate activity between different parts of the brain.

Do you wonder how much trash is produced each day across the globe?

The United Nations states that an average person produces more than 2.5 pounds of waste per day. That's over 25 billion pounds of garbage each year!

The majority of this garbage ends up in incinerators or landfills. But what happens when the dumpsters become full? Most of that trash is shipped out of the country. The trash is then sent out of the country and dumped in countries where it pollutes ecosystems. But, one man has now discovered exactly where this rubbish goes. Mike Sexton is his real name. He owns a company called Waste Watchers. He spends his time watching trucks hauling trash around North America. He reports back to us about the next steps.

Sexton claims he is very satisfied with his job. "We've got a lot of fun," he told CNN. "We'll be following these big rigs through town. "Sexton started following truck driver almost 20 years back.

"It's all I felt," he stated.

He loved the story of the driver who pulled into an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. Sexton recalls, "The guy was searching for somewhere to put his loads." "He drove down the road to see this building. So he pulled over and went inside. "There were two large roll-off containers full of stuff. The guy took everything out and started filling up the truck again. "Then, he took everything out and started filling up the truck again. There were lots of old tires, rags furniture, mattresses, mattresses, cans, cans, and other items. "It was a complete mess. But it had been cleaned before he arrived. There was no trash."

This is the reason why it happened. It's because this area used to be a recycle center. People would drive from all over the country to recycle their trash. Sexton explained that people would bring home their household items, and then take them to the building. After they were done, they would dispose of the empty containers.

You might see this happen hundreds of times a day. The truck can be stopped running if it is so full of junk that it has to come back hundreds of times per week. The truck eventually stops running and the owner decides that it is time to get rid of the vehicle.

However, trash is not the only problem on our planet.

Many of these tiny plastic pieces end up in landfills and incinerators. Some are washed into rivers and oceans. Others end up with fish in their stomachs.

Experts warn us that we may soon face an international food shortage if things don't change. "If we keep going like we're going, we're not going to make it," one expert warned. But even though scientists agree that the world is headed toward disaster, most people don't seem worried.

What is the most surprising fact about your body?

Two eyes, two ears, 2 nostrils, 4 limbs, 1 nose, 1 penis and one mouth are all there. That's right, we have more than 50 parts of our bodies, but one thing is missing. A heart.

The heart is a pump that circulates blood throughout your body. The blood travels through the veins and arteries, transporting oxygen and nutrients to cells. It also removes carbon dioxide.

Each minute, the heart pumps 5 liters of blood. This is equivalent in daily coffee consumption to an adult who consumes approximately 2 to 3 cups.

Blood flows through the heart 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. While sleeping, your heart beats close to 100 times per minute.

Because of the color and texture of their skin, you can tell if someone is healthy or sick. Looking closely at the skin's surface, you can see tiny blood vessels called capillaries. These tiny vessels transport blood from the larger blood vessels to the heart. When blood flow is blocked, the skin turns blue or purple.

Red blood cells are not available to sickle cell patients. Their blood becomes extremely sticky and hardened, which can lead to very serious illnesses.

You can use a bandage to stop bleeding if your cut is severe. For wounds to heal properly, blood must flow. To do this, doctors will insert a needle through your skin into the vein adjacent to the injury. This allows blood drainage from the injury area.

Doctors may also insert catheters (catheters), in an artery to treat a blood clot. This helps to keep the patient alive until the blood clot disintegrates naturally.

What is the most mysterious place on earth?

Antarctica is home to the most mysterious and remote place on Earth.

This is why we find it so captivating. Because it's unlike any other place in the world.

It is difficult to access because it is remote and extremely isolated. But there is more to this site than meets the eye.

You'll also find the strangest species of wildlife in this natural wonder.

Let's see how this incredible destination became famous for its mystery.

Antarctica: The South Pole

Antarctica's name is a mystery. Some believe it is "land of the ice". Others believe it comes from Greek mythology.

Antarktis was an ancient Greek name that was given to the island where Zeus and his twin brothers, Zeus. According to legend, one of the twins was born in winter. Therefore, the name antarctic.

Others believe that the name is a combination of the Greek words anti and tropos which mean against and turn. This would mean that the land was turned away by the sun.

No matter the reason, Antarctica is a place that has always fascinated people.

It is the driest, windiest of all continents. There are no trees, plants, or animals here because it is too cold.

Yet, life is abundant in this frozen wilderness.

It is home to approximately 90 percent of all life on Earth. There are about 50% of the world's animal, plant and plant species.

What is the secret to Antarctica's unique environment? Here, water is frozen into ice rather than vaporizing into the air.

This results in large masses of ice floating above the ground.

These floating glaciers make up 80%. These glaciers are getting larger each year.

Since 1960, the Antarctic ice sheets has grown 60ft.

If the melting continues, sea level could rise up to 200ft. This could lead to massive flooding across the globe.

But not everyone thinks this is bad news. Global warming may be beneficial for some scientists. They suggest that rising temperatures could cause ice sheet melt faster, leading to floods that flush out toxic chemicals from soil and bodies.

Others, however, warn that this theory sounds almost like a plot for a science fiction film.
