National Treasure Book of Secrets: Review

best secret in the world

National Treasure: Book of Secrets is a great action adventure movie that's worth the effort, even if it has its faults. It is entertaining in the Nic Cage-grabbing-a-quick-buck kind of way, and children will likely forgive the film's faults.

After a fifteen-year hiatus, National Treasure is back in theaters with a sequel. Book of Secrets is a sequel to 2004's original film. Nicolas Cage plays Benjamin Franklin Gates, who is a treasure hunter. His family has a secret that has been kept secret for many centuries. It is believed the Founding Fathers concealed the secret. Ben's father, and mother, aren’t convinced. They want to prove his great-great-grandfather, Thomas Gates, was not a conspirator in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Ben's scheme to clear his family names may backfire.

The story centers on Freemasonry and the connections between secret societies from ancient times and American history. Gates's great-great-grandfather is suspected of being a conspirator in the assassination, but he has no proof. To find evidence, Ben turns to Mitch Wilkinson (Ed Harris), a researcher. Wilkinson does have some grounds to suspect Gates.

Book of Secrets contains a complicated plot. There are many clues. Some of them are hidden within cherished artifacts. Some others are kept hidden in secret societies. The story is convoluted and requires the viewer to suspend their disbelief. There are even a few far-fetched scenarios.

creepy facts real

Book of Secrets contains many funny hijinks. One Black actor plays a minor role. The majority of the cast consists of white guys. It doesn't have a Native American cast member.

FAQ

Is there an Hollywood blacklist?

There is a Hollywood blacklist.

The list is not made public. The names are not known to us. Here's why this matters.

The secret reason is that directors and actors who are on the blacklist would not be able to find employment. Thus, they would leave the industry and studios will lose money. They would also cut back on their spending on movies. This would lead to fewer opportunities and less money for blacklisted directors. This would make them bankrupt.

This could result in even more victims.

A contract may be required to agree to not speak against employers if someone attempts to make an Oscar winning movie. For any producer or director that wants to be nominated, the same applies.

This is why you'll hear about directors being pressured by producers to take scenes out of their films. Directors may threaten to quit projects that don’t align with their vision.

This is why Hollywood has created a blacklist. Negative comments about your employer will most likely lead to you being unemployed. It's not good for anyone.

Problem is, many people have been falsely charged. And they've had to fight to clear their name.

We must stop this from happening again. Everybody should be able to freely express themselves.

We must get rid of the Hollywood blacklist.

What is the most fascinating fact about the human body

Two eyes, two ears, 2 nostrils, 4 limbs, 1 nose, 1 penis and one mouth are all there. You're correct, there are more than 50 parts in our bodies. But, one thing is missing. A heart.

The heart is a pump which circulates blood throughout the body. The blood moves through the veins. It transports oxygen and nutrients to your cells. It also removes carbon dioxide.

The heart pumps about 5 liters blood per minute. This is equivalent of an adult drinking 2 to 3 cups of coffee each day.

Blood flows throughout the heart 24 hours per day, 365 Days a Year. While you are sleeping, your heart beats about 100 times per second.

Color of your skin is a good indicator of whether someone is healthy. You can see tiny blood vessels, called capillaries, when you look closely at the skin. These small vessels carry blood from the large blood vessel in the skin back towards the heart. The skin becomes blue-colored or purple when blood flow is restricted.

Red blood cells are not available to sickle cell patients. Their blood becomes sticky and hardens, causing them to become very ill.

A bandage can be used to stop bleeding if you have cut your own skin. For wounds to heal properly, blood must flow. Doctors will insert a needle under the skin to access the vein near the injury. This allows the blood to drain from the injured area.

Doctors can also insert catheters into the artery close to the area where the bloodclot has formed. This keeps patients alive until the clot has broken up naturally.

What dark secrets can Hollywood keep from you?

Hollywood is filled secret societies. Many secret societies are cult-like and follow rigid rules. Others are just clubs for people with common interests.

But there are also more nefarious organizations that control much of the industry. There are companies like the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America), who sets film ratings and the RIAA, which sets music licensing fees.

Many unions and guilds represent actors, directors writers, producers, and others. The majority of major television networks and movie studios are owned by large corporations.

The point is that no matter how secretive any group may seem, someone somewhere knows exactly what they do. But that doesn't mean we should fear them.

Instead, embrace them. Because they offer us information that can help us make better decision.

These people tell us what movies and songs will succeed, and which books will sell best.

They are, in short, what help us choose what we will watch, read and listen too.

We can trust their advice and we can ignore it if it contradicts our values.

We choose to ignore them and they become even more powerful. They are the ultimate judges of taste.

If you don't like their words, you can choose to ignore them.

Now let's take a look at some lesser-known yet very real Hollywood secret society.

And see why they're so important.

What is the most mysterious location on Earth?

Antarctica is the world's most mysterious place on Earth.

This is why we find it so captivating. It is unlike any other place on Earth.

It is remote and difficult to reach. There is much more to this place than meets the eyes.

This natural wonder is also home to some of the strangest wildlife species.

So let's explore how this remarkable destination became famous for its mystery.

Antarctica: The South Pole

No one knows exactly why Antarctica was named Antarctica. Others believe it means "land with ice". Others believe it comes from Greek mythology.

Antarktis was an ancient Greek name that was given to the island where Zeus and his twin brothers, Zeus. According to some legends, one of these twins was born in winter. The term antarctic is derived from this.

Others believe that the name comes from the Greek words anti meaning against and tropos meaning to turn. This would mean land turned away from the sun.

Whatever the reason Antarctica has always been a fascination for people.

It is the continent with the lowest, windiest and highest temperatures. Because it is so cold, there aren't any trees, plants or animals.

Yet, life is abundant in this frozen wilderness.

About 90 percent of all living things on Earth live here. There are about 50% of the world's animal, plant and plant species.

What is Antarctica? Here water freezes to ice and not evaporates into the atmosphere.

This causes large amounts of ice to float above ground.

These floating glaciers cover 80% of the continent. These glaciers are getting larger each year.

The Antarctic ice sheet has grown 60ft since 1960.

The sea level will rise up to 200 feet if melting continues. This could lead to widespread flooding.

This is not necessarily bad news. Some scientists suggest that global warming could actually be good for us. They say that as temperatures rise, the ice sheets might melt faster, causing floods that flush out tons of toxic chemicals from our soil and bodies.

Others, however, warn that this theory sounds almost like a plot for a science fiction film.
