Diving into the ocean exposes you to a whole new world. There are some undersea places that are so horrifying, perilous, and frightening that even a glimpse of them can fill you with dread. Many different species of animals and plants live in the ocean.
Giant squid
Giant Squids are huge animals with enormous, four-foot-wide eyes. Their tentacles extend twice as far as their body. Scientists have not seen giant squids eat, but they may be eating fish or other squids deep in the ocean.
Octopuses
Although we cannot actually see the octopuses swimming in the ocean, they can be seen through their webs. These webs are made of pigmented and chromatophores. Scientists don't know the exact function of these pigments, but they may have been passed down from their ancestors. The eyes, optic nervous, and digestive tract are all visible parts of the Octopus.
Octopuses eat dead bodies
Octopuses are well-known for their slimy bodies but also for their ability mimic other marine animals. In order to avoid predators, they can be seen imitating flatfish and sea snakes. They aren't harmful to humans, but they face threats from habitat loss and overfishing as well as climate change.

FAQ
Do you wonder how much trash is produced each day across the globe?
According to the United Nations, the average person produces over 2.5 pounds of daily waste. That adds up to over 25 billion pounds of garbage per year!
Many of this trash ends in landfill dumps, or incinerators. But what happens if those dumpsters are full? All that trash ends up being shipped out of country. It then gets dumped in foreign countries, polluting their ecosystems. However, now we know where all that trash goes. Mike Sexton is his full name. He runs Waste Watchers, a company that monitors the movements of trucks carrying trash all across North America. He then reports back about what happens next.
Sexton said he enjoys his job. CNN asked Sexton if he thought it was a lot of fun. "You know, we see these big rigs come through town, and we'll follow them. "Sexton began to follow truck drivers around 20 years ago.
"It's all I felt," he stated.
Sexton's favorite story was about a driver who stopped at an abandoned gas station in Los Angeles. Sexton recalls, "The guy was searching for somewhere to put his loads." "He drove down the street and saw this building. So he pulled over and went inside. "There were two large roll-off containers full of stuff. He took out everything and began to fill up the truck. He then looked around and decided to load everything. There were a bunch of old tires, rags, furniture, mattresses, boxes, bottles, cans, and whatever else. "It was just an absolute mess. But it was cleaned out before he came. There wasn’t trash everywhere."
This is the reason why it happened. This particular spot used to be a recycling center. People would drive there to recycle their trash. Sexton explained, "They would bring their household goods and take them here," and they would then empty the containers.
This can happen hundreds of times a week. The truck can be stopped running if it is so full of junk that it has to come back hundreds of times per week. The owner finally decides to stop using the truck.
But, this isn't the only problem that our planet is facing.
Many of these tiny plastic pieces end up in landfills and incinerators. Some of these plastics end up in rivers or oceans.
Experts warn of a possible global food crisis if nothing is done. Experts warn that if we continue to go the same way, we won't make it. However, scientists and most people aren't worried.
Is there a more mysterious place than the Earth itself?
Antarctica is the world's most mysterious place on Earth.
We find this place so fascinating. It is unlike any other place on Earth.
It is very remote and isolated. This site has more to it than meets your eye.
These wild animals are also found in this natural wonder.
Let's see how this incredible destination became famous for its mystery.
Antarctica: The South Pole
Antarctica is not known by anyone. Some believe it is "land of the ice". Others believe it comes from Greek mythology.
Antarktis, the Greek name for the island on which Zeus' twin brothers were conceived, was used in ancient Greece. According to one source, one of the twins was conceived in winter. Thus, the term antarctic.
Others think the name came from the Greek words anti, meaning against, and tropos meaning turn. This would be land turned away form the sun.
No matter the reason, Antarctica is a place that has always fascinated people.
It is the continent with the lowest, windiest and highest temperatures. It is too cold to support trees, plants, and animals.
Yet, the frozen desert is alive with life.
It houses approximately 90% of all Earth's living organisms. There are about 50% of the world's animal, plant and plant species.
What is it that makes Antarctica so unique? Here, water freezes in ice rather that vaporizing into the atmosphere.
This creates large masses of ice that float above the ground.
These glaciers cover more than 80% of the continent. These glaciers are getting larger each year.
The Antarctic ice sheet has grown 60ft since 1960.
The sea level could rise to 200 feet if the melting continues. This could lead to widespread flooding.
This is not necessarily bad news. Some scientists suggest that global warming could actually be good for us. They suggest that rising temperatures could cause ice sheet melt faster, leading to floods that flush out toxic chemicals from soil and bodies.
Others cautioned that this theory sounds too science fiction.

What are some dark secrets in Hollywood?
Hollywood is filled with secret societies. There are many secret societies in Hollywood. Some are cult-like, where members adhere to strict rules and rituals. Others are clubs for people who share similar interests.
But there are also more nefarious organizations that control much of the industry. These include the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America), the organization that sets film ratings and RIAA(Recording Industry Association of America), the company that sets music licensing fees.
Many unions and guilds represent actors, directors writers, producers, and others. These large corporations control the majority of major film studios and television networks.
It doesn't matter how secretive a group might seem, someone somewhere knows what they are doing. They shouldn't be fearful, however.
Instead, we should embrace them. Because they can help us make better decisions.
They tell us what movies will likely succeed, what songs will be popular, and what books will best sell.
They help us make decisions about what we will buy, watch, listen to, or read.
We can trust our advisors and ignore advice that isn't in accord with our tastes.
They become more powerful because we choose to ignore them. They are the ultimate judges of taste.
If you don't like their words, you can choose to ignore them.
Now let's take a look at some lesser-known yet very real Hollywood secret society.
And you'll understand why they're so crucial.
