Salvator Mundi is one of Leonardo da Vinci's most famous paintings. It was commissioned to go to the Louvre Abu Dhabi. The painting has yet to make it's debut. September was the original date. It is therefore still unknown what the Salvator Mundi cost will be.
Yves Bouvier
Yves Bouvier is the subject of controversy for his art acquisitions. One of his biggest acquisitions was a painting thought to be by Leonardo da Vinci. The $80 million purchase of the work has been controversial for years. Despite the controversy surrounding this painting, Bouvier stands by the work and believes the piece is a masterpiece.
Bouvier initially believed that the raid was part a larger operation against Rybolovlev, a Russian businessman. Bouvier was taken to Monaco's main police station, where he was expected to be released by noon. Then, at about a quarter to one o'clock in the afternoon, he was led into a room and asked to identify himself.
Modestini's restoration of the Salvator Mundi
Before Modestini began to restore the Salvator Mundi's Salvator Mundi, Modestini had first inspected the painting. It was in bad shape due to the overpaint and varnish that was covering it. To find out who it was painted, he looked through documents from Mona Lisa. He covered the painting with a cloth after his preliminary evaluation. He went home shortly after. However, he needed expert help to make sure his work looked its best.

Schachter says Modestini denies any financial interest in the painting. However, he claims that he was a great spokesperson for the artist and that he helped secure the painting's attribution. He is also still fighting for the Salvator Mundi attribution.
FAQ
Have you ever wondered what amount of trash is generated each day worldwide?
The United Nations states that an average person produces more than 2.5 pounds of waste per day. That's over 25 billion pounds of garbage each year!
Most of this rubbish ends up in landfills or incinerators. But, what happens when those dumpsters fill up? All that trash ends up being shipped out of country. It is then dumped in other countries, where it pollutes their ecosystems. But now, thanks to the work of one man, we know exactly where all this trash goes. Mike Sexton is his real name. He is the founder of Waste Watchers. He watches over trucks that transport trash across North America. He reports back to us about the next steps.
Sexton said he enjoys his job. CNN interviewed Sexton and said that he has a lot of fun. "We see big rigs coming through town and we'll follow them. "Sexton started following truck drivers nearly 20 years ago.
He stated, "I just fell in Love with It."
Sexton's favorite story was about a driver who stopped at an abandoned gas station in Los Angeles. Sexton remembered, "The man was looking for somewhere to put the load." "He drove down the road to see this building. So he backed up and went inside. "There were two large roll-off containers full of stuff. He took out everything and began to fill up the truck. "Then he looked at the place and decided to unload everything. There were old tires and rags, furniture pieces, mattresses, mattresses and boxes. "It was just an absolute mess. But it had been cleaned out before he came along. There wasn't any trash anywhere."
Why did this happen? This particular spot used to be a recycling center. People would drive there to recycle their trash. Sexton explained that people would bring home their household items, and then take them to the building. After they were done, they would dispose of the empty containers.
You might see this happen hundreds of times a day. It can happen hundreds of time per week. Eventually, the truck is so full of junk it stops running. The owner finally decides to stop using the truck.
Trash is not the only problem our planet faces.
These tiny plastic particles make up the majority of the particles. Some end up in incinerators or landfills. Others get washed into rivers or oceans. And when they reach the ocean, they often end up in the stomachs of fish.
Experts warn of a possible global food crisis if nothing is done. "If we keep going like we're going, we're not going to make it," one expert warned. But even though scientists agree that the world is headed toward disaster, most people don't seem worried.
What are the darkest secrets of Hollywood?
Hollywood is full secret societies. Some secret societies are cultlike groups that have strict rules and rituals. Other clubs are for people who share common interests.
But there are also more nefarious organizations that control much of the industry. These include companies like the MPAA ("Motion Picture Association of America"), which determines film ratings. The RIAA ("Recording Industry Association of America") sets music licensing fees.
Numerous unions and guilds also represent actors, directors, writers, producers, etc. These large corporations control the majority of major film studios and television networks.
It is obvious that, no matter how secretive or obtuse a group appears, someone knows exactly what they do. However, we shouldn't fear them.
Instead, embrace them. Because they offer us information that can help us make better decision.
These people tell us what movies and songs will succeed, and which books will sell best.
In short, they help us decide what we'll buy, watch, read, and listen to.
We can trust them and can disregard their advice if it is not in line with our preferences.
Because we have chosen to ignore their power, they are even more powerful. They are the ultimate arbiters and judges of taste.
And if you don't like what they say, you're free to ignore them.
Let's now look at some lesser-known, but still very real Hollywood secret organizations.
And you'll understand why they're so crucial.
What is the most secretive location in the entire world?
The answer to that question may shock you. This may make you feel uncomfortable as it challenges your perception of reality and the way we live. But there is a reason that this place exists. It isn't what you would expect.
It was called the City of God by ancient Greeks. It was also known as the City of Destruction according to the Bible.
It's known in India as Kashi (Kashmir). It's also known as Novgorod in Russia.
It's called The Town That Has Disappeared here in America.
One tiny town in western New York State lost its 1,200 inhabitants without trace. With the exception of a road marker pointing to its former site, there were no remains: cars, bodies, houses.
This tiny community disappeared without leaving any clues as to where it went or when. Some say the earth swallowed it up. Others say it was destroyed in a meteorite collision. Still, others say aliens took it away.
Despite what may have happened, the people who lived in this once-thriving area are confident that their town will not be lost forever. They had just moved to another town.
A website is available to track the disappearance and recovery of Zugspitz, which was lost in the Great Depression.
So, where exactly did this town go? It's actually in Switzerland!
Zugspitze is situated on the border between Germany und Austria. Lake Zugspitze can be found just beyond the summit.
It has always fascinated me that so many towns have disappeared, yet some still remain. Why is it that some disappear while others live on? I set out to find out.
I was interested in learning more about these mysterious towns that are disappearing. Is it possible for a place to vanish? How can one place become extinct?
There are many theories regarding the phenomenon of towns disappearing. One theory holds that a town disappears if all its buildings are demolished. Another theory states that the town simply moves to another location. Another theory suggests that the town has never existed.
Theories aside, the fact remains that dozens of towns around the globe have been swallowed up by the ground. This video examines the history and current status of these places.
What is the most mysterious area on earth?
Antarctica is the world's most mysterious place on Earth.
We find this place so fascinating. Because it is unlike anything else on Earth.
It is very remote and isolated. This site has more to it than meets your eye.
Some of the most bizarre wildlife species can also be found in this natural wonder.
Let's look at how this extraordinary destination became so mysterious.
Antarctica: The South Pole
No one knows exactly why Antarctica was named Antarctica. Some say it means "land on ice." Others believe it derives from Greek mythology.
Antarktis in ancient Greece was the name given the island where Zeus' twin brother brothers were born. According to legend, one twin was born in winter. Hence, the word antarctic.
Others believe that the name is a combination of the Greek words anti and tropos which mean against and turn. This would signify land turned away the sun.
Whatever the reason Antarctica holds a special fascination, people have always loved it.
It is the driest, windiest of all continents. Because it is too frigid, there are no trees, animals, or plants.
Yet, life is abundant in this frozen wilderness.
Here, 90 percent live of all species of living things. About 50% of the world's plant and animal species can be found here.
What is the secret to Antarctica's unique environment? Here, water freezes and becomes ice instead of evaporated into the air.
This causes large masses to form of ice which float high above the ground.
These floating glaciers make up 80%. They continue to grow in size each year.
The Antarctic ice has grown 60 feet so far since 1960.
If the melting continues, the sea level will rise by up to 200 feet. This could lead worldwide flooding.
Not everyone believes this is bad news. Some scientists suggest that global warming could actually be good for us. They suggest that rising temperatures could cause ice sheet melt faster, leading to floods that flush out toxic chemicals from soil and bodies.
Others cautioned that this theory sounds too science fiction.

How To
Hollywood scandals that stunned the entire world
Nothing is more shocking that seeing someone be famous for their wrong reasons. There's nothing more shocking than watching someone fall from grace.
It is amazing to see how an industry handles its mistakes. We've all heard about celebrities who took too much alcohol and drugs. Some even died young because of it.
The worst part about this is that these same stars come out with their problems and are ridiculed by everyone. This is where we ended up last week.
Heath Ledger gave up after a long career that was successful. He overdosed on prescription pills, and after a brief battle with death, he passed away.
His friends and family struggled to accept the loss of his son, while the media blasted him openly.
Heath was once considered to be one of today's most talented actors. His performance in Brokeback Mountain earned him two Academy Awards nominations.
Heath, in addition to acting, also wrote and directed films such as A Knight's Tale (Monster's Ball) and Iron Man (3).
Hollywood loved Heath, but he became too big for his britches. He began using drugs and drinking heavily. He was eventually able to get clean and went to rehab.
He was now sober and wanted to make amends. He produced a documentary called Room 237 that documented the making process of The Shining. It was supposed that it would be released this year but it won't make its debut in theaters until next.
Heath was unsuccessful in his attempts to get back into Hollywood. In fact, he was actually twice arrested for drug-related charges.
We're not saying Heath should have been allowed back into show business. However, it would have been nice if he could have gotten some help before things spiraled out of control.
We hope Heath’s tale will be a wakeup call to anyone who may believe that they can still have all.
