The current director of the United States Secret Service, James Murray, will leave his position after 30 years on the force. According to sources, he is planning to join Snap Inc., a social media company. He will report directly into Evan Spiegel, the CEO.
Murray worked as an investigator and special agent over his 27-year career. He was also a deputy director of protective operations and a director. He was the 26th director of the Secret Service, and will retire on July 30, 2022.
Murray worked with the Secret Service to plan and coordinate the global protective mission of the agency, which included the investigation of threats to presidential candidates, and the transitions.
