Strange and bizarre human facts

secrets world

Among the many bizarre functions of our bodies, there are some that are just plain scary. Let's explore some of more fascinating and obscure functions found in the human body.

The human heart can beat up to 100,000 times per minute. Although this may not seem like a lot, consider this: If your heart stopped beating every second, you'd die. It can also squirt water 30 feet away.

The human eye can see more than five hundred millions pixels. This is more than half the size of an average cell phone. Due to the cilia attached to the eyeball that attach to it, a human eye can grow up to twice the size of a football.

A small space can also be illuminated by the light from the human eye. There are approximately 100,000 miles of blood vessels in the human body. These arteries are responsible for carrying oxygen from the blood into the tissues.

creepy facts about life

The "diving reflex" is an entire system that stops certain bodily functions from being affected by submersion. Our pupil expands by 45 percent when we see something pleasant.

Also, we have an appendix. Untreated, the appendix can infect other organs. It is possible to remove as much as 80% of the liver from a person's body.

The human body is an amazing place. It can make seven bars of soap from its fat. It's also home to hundreds of millions of bacteria. The skin, the largest organ in our bodies, is oily, greasy, and home to over a thousand species of bacteria.

The human body can also perform many mundane and unusual tasks. We blink 10 million times per year, but also do the uncanny. There's also a lot of stuff going on in the mouth. Besides the obvious functions, you also swallow and breathe.

You can also use the toilet. The toilet is not only one of the most important parts of the bathroom; it also serves as the main source of reading material within a typical home. The average person consumes approximately 21,000 gallons of water per day.

terrifying facts about life

In addition to the obvious, there is also a "sneezing” function in the human body. If you sneeze excessively, it can fracture a bone. More than 8,000 taste buds reside in the human nose. Additionally, there are more than 100 cells on the tongue that can be used to taste food.

The human brain has enough energy to power an entire light bulb. The human body can produce 350,000 joules per hour, even if you do not include the ovaries. This is more energy than it takes to make a lightbulb flash.

Some other interesting facts about the human body include the "diving" reflex, the largest organ in the body, and the fact we can fly. Our roads are also home to more cars than we have people. However, there are many more crayfish living in the ocean than humans. This means that it is quite possible to conclude that the human body can be more impressive than most people believe.

FAQ

What is the most mysterious location on Earth?

Antarctica is home to the most mysterious and remote place on Earth.

Why is this place so amazing? Because it is unlike any place on Earth.

It is remote, isolated, and extremely difficult to visit. This site has more to it than meets your eye.

You will also find some of the oddest wildlife species in this natural wonder.

Let's see how this incredible destination became famous for its mystery.

Antarctica: The South Pole

Antarctica's name is a mystery. Some believe it is "land of the ice". Others believe it comes out of Greek mythology.

Antarktis in ancient Greece was the name given the island where Zeus' twin brother brothers were born. According to legend, one of the twins was born in winter. The term antarctic is derived from this.

Others believe the name was derived from the Greek words tropos, which means turn, and anti, meaning against. This would signify land turned away the sun.

Whatever the reason Antarctica has held a special fascination for people, it is undeniable.

It is also the lowest, windiest continent, driest, and highest. It is too cold for trees, plants and animals.

And yet, this frozen wasteland is teeming with life.

It houses approximately 90% of all Earth's living organisms. About 50% of the world's plant and animal species can be found here.

And what makes Antarctica such a unique environment? Here, water is frozen into ice rather than vaporizing into the air.

This causes large masses to form of ice which float high above the ground.

These glaciers are responsible for covering 80% of the continent. They are growing in size every year.

Since 1960, the Antarctic ice sheets has grown 60ft.

If the melting goes on, the sea level may rise by as much as 200 feet. This could lead to widespread flooding.

However, not all scientists believe this to be bad news. Some scientists think global warming might be beneficial. They believe that global warming will lead to melting ice sheets faster and floods that can flush toxic chemicals out of our soils and bodies.

Others, however, warn that this theory sounds almost like a plot for a science fiction film.

These 5 facts are amazing about the liver

The liver is responsible of breaking down toxins and storing nutrients. It also regulates blood pressure, and maintains our body's temperature.

Is it not often that we hear people say "I feel sluggish today" and "my head feels heavier?" These symptoms could indicate liver problems.

You may notice symptoms such as dark urine, yellowing skin and fatigue. These are not all the warning signs. If you experience any of them, make an appointment with your doctor immediately.

The liver is an essential organ. It plays a role in detoxification, digestion, metabolism, immunity, and reproduction.

  1. The average adult human liver weighs approximately 1,400 grams.
  2. The liver of a baby is roughly half the size that of an adult at birth. By age three, it is about four times larger than that of an infant.
  3. The liver can be found on the left side of your abdomen, just below the lower rib cage.
  4. There are 16 main lobes in the liver, but many smaller lobules are inside the lobes.
  5. There are approximately 10,000,000 red blood cells in the liver.

Have you ever wondered how much trash is produced worldwide each day?

The United Nations states that an average person produces more than 2.5 pounds of waste per day. That's over 25 billion pounds of garbage each year!

Most of this trash ends up in landfill dumps or incinerators. But what happens when those dumpsters get full? Most of that trash is shipped out of the country. The rest is dumped abroad, where it pollutes other ecosystems. Now, we know the exact location of all this garbage. Mike Sexton is his nickname. He runs Waste Watchers, a company that monitors the movements of trucks carrying trash all across North America. He reports back to us about the next steps.

Sexton says he finds his job very satisfying. CNN asked Sexton if he thought it was a lot of fun. "We see big rigs coming through town and we'll follow them. "Sexton started following truck drivers nearly 20 years ago.

"It's all I felt," he stated.

His favorite story involved a driver who pulled off at an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. Sexton recalls, "The guy was searching for somewhere to put his loads." "He saw the building as he drove down the road. So he backed up and went inside. "There were two enormous roll-off containers filled with stuff. The man took all the stuff out and filled up his truck with more. He then looked around and decided to load everything. There were tires, rags. furniture, mattresses. boxes, bottles, cans. "It was just total chaos. It had been cleaned up before he arrived. There wasn't any trash."

So why did this happen? It's because this area used to be a recycle center. People would drive from all over the country to recycle their trash. Sexton explained, "They would bring their household goods and take them here," and they would then empty the containers.

Now, because of the way the law works, once a container reaches its destination, it cannot be opened. So no matter how often someone takes something out of it, the thing will never be emptied.Every time the truck comes by, it has to start over again. It can happen hundreds of time per week. Eventually, the truck is so full of junk it stops running. The owner eventually abandons the vehicle.

However, trash is not the only problem on our planet.

These tiny plastic particles make up the majority of the particles. Some end up in incinerators or landfills. Some of these plastics end up in rivers or oceans.

Experts warn that if there is no change, the world could soon be facing a food shortage. One expert said, "If we keep going as we are going, we're never going to make it," but most people don’t seem concerned.

Why do actors end up on the blacklist?

An actor is more likely to get rejected than a writer. You will likely be rejected many times if you are an actor. However, it doesn't really matter as you will eventually meet someone who is truly your love.

Actors are usually very talented, meaning they can make a living almost anywhere. However, most actors aren't interested in making money. Actors love to act and tell stories. You'll be an actor if you love acting.

Sometimes, auditions are cancelled because you are either too young or too old for the job. Or you might audition for a movie and lose out to another person. It happens all too often.

However, once you have been cast, it is possible to face criticism. Some people will say that you look awful or shouldn't wear makeup. If you're lucky, you won't even hear negative comments.

Sometimes it's because you play a character that's not realistic or authentic. Perhaps you play a homosexual man and everyone thinks that you're straight. Perhaps you play a woman that is supposed to be strong but who cries a lot.

Sometimes, they ask you to change your voice. Sometimes, they want you to sound more like a man or a woman. They usually want you sound better.

These criticisms should be ignored. Actors feel like they've failed when told they did wrong. They haven't done any wrong.

They didn't have the talent to make them famous. Sometimes, no matter what they do, they just don't fit the bill.

An actor can be blacklisted for many reasons. Some people don't like actors. Others think that actors are lazy. Others still believe that actors cheat.

Whatever the reason, it's important to realize that you will not get blacklisted if you keep trying. There are plenty of roles out there, and you'll find them.

Keep trying and you will eventually succeed.
