FAQ

Ever wonder how much trash gets produced each day around the world?

The United Nations states that an average person produces more than 2.5 pounds of waste per day. That's over 25 billion pounds of garbage each year!

The majority of this garbage ends up in incinerators or landfills. But what happens when the dumpsters become full? The majority of this rubbish is sent out of the country. It then gets dumped in foreign countries, polluting their ecosystems. However, now we know where all that trash goes. Mike Sexton is his nickname. He runs a company called Waste Watchers. He spends his days watching the movements of trucks transporting trash across North America. He then gives us a report on what happens next.

Sexton claims he is very satisfied with his job. "We've got a lot of fun," he told CNN. "We often see large rigs passing through our town and we will follow them. "Sexton began to follow truck drivers around 20 years ago.

He stated, "I just fell in Love with It."

Sexton's favorite story was about a driver who stopped at an abandoned gas station in Los Angeles. Sexton described, "The guy was looking somewhere to put his load." "He drove down the street and saw this building. He backed up and entered the building. "There were two huge roll-off containers there filled with stuff. The guy took everything out and started filling up the truck again. "Then he looked at the place and decided to unload everything. There were old tires and rags, furniture pieces, mattresses, mattresses and boxes. "It was just a total mess. It had been cleaned up before he arrived. There wasn't any trash."

Why did this happen? It's because this area used to be a recycle center. People would drive from all over the country to recycle their trash. Sexton explained, "They would bring their household goods and take them here," and they would then empty the containers.

This could happen hundreds of time per week. This could happen hundreds times per week. Finally, the truck stops running completely due to its excessive junk. The owner eventually decides to dump the truck.

Trash isn’t the only problem we face on the planet.

Plastic pieces make up most of these particles. Others end up in rivers, oceans or the stomachss of fish.

Experts warn that the world may soon face a shortage of food if we don't make any changes. "If we keep going like we're going, we're not going to make it," one expert warned. But even though scientists agree that the world is headed toward disaster, most people don't seem worried.

What dark secrets can Hollywood keep from you?

Hollywood is full of secret societies. Some secret societies are cultlike groups that have strict rules and rituals. Other clubs are for people who share common interests.

There are other nefarious entities that have a significant influence on the industry. Companies such as the MPAA, which determines film ratings, or the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), that set music licensing fees, are examples of these.

Many unions and guilds represent actors, directors writers, producers, and others. Large corporations own most major studios and networks of television.

The point is that no matter how secretive any group may seem, someone somewhere knows exactly what they do. We shouldn't fear these people.

Instead, embrace them. Because they offer us information that can help us make better decision.

These people tell us what movies and songs will succeed, and which books will sell best.

They are, in short, what help us choose what we will watch, read and listen too.

Because we can trust them, we can ignore their advice when it conflicts with our tastes.

They are more powerful than ever because we chose to ignore them. They are the ultimate arbiters and judges of taste.

You are free to ignore their messages if that bothers you.

Let's take a closer look at some of the less-known, yet still very real Hollywood secret clubs.

And see why they're so important.

How does the brain control the functions in your body?

The brain communicates with other organs to ensure their cooperation. Everything in your body is controlled and managed by your brain. It tells your stomach how to digest food and your lungs how to inhale oxygen; it also tells your arms, legs and feet to move.

Your brain is made up billions of nerve cell networks connected in groups known as neurons. Neurons communicate by sending electrical signals, called action potentials, on axons. Every neuron has an outer cell membrane that surrounds its nucleus. There are channels within the membrane that allow ions such a sodium or potassium to enter and exit the cell. The neuron is lit by an electric charge created by the movement of ions.

Neurotransmitters, chemical substances that are released when a neuron fires. Neurotransmitters bind with receptors on the second nerve cell, opening ion channel channels to allow ions in and out. In turn, the second neuron also fires.

Neurotransmitter production occurs when a neuron in the presynaptic receives an impulsive signal from another. An impulse travels along a synapse that connects the two neurons. The transmitter binds to receptors on the postsynaptic neuron, triggering the firing of the postsynaptic neuron.

Neurotransmitters are important for communication within the nervous system. They also help coordinate activity between different parts of the brain.
