Strange and Weird Human Facts

secret things in world

Some aspects of our bodies can be quite bizarre. Let's look at some of the more interesting and obscure functions of the human body.

The human heart can beat up to 100,000 times per minute. It may seem insignificant, but it's important to remember that if your heart stopped beating for one day, you would be dead. It can also squirt blood up to 30 feet away.

The human eye contains more than five hundred million pixels. This is almost half a mile larger than the average cell-phone. The cilia, which cling to the eyeball, can make a human's eye grow to as big as a football.

The human eye also produces enough light to illuminate a small room. There are about 100,000 miles of blood vessels throughout the human body. These arteries carry oxygen through the bloodstream to the tissues.

creepy statistics

Another system known as the "diving reaction" shuts down certain bodily function when we are submerged under water. The pupil in our eyes expands by approximately 45% when we are able to see something pleasing.

The appendix is another organ. This organ can be infected if it is not treated. In fact, it is possible to remove up to 80% of the liver.

The human body can be described as a wonderland. It's enough fat for seven bars of soap. It is home to many millions of bacteria. The skin is the largest organ of the body and is oily and hairy. It also contains more than one thousand types of bacteria.

The human body can perform many different tasks, some of which are mundane. Not only do we blink 10,000,000 times per year but we also do the terrifying. The mouth also has a lot of things happening. You also breathe and swallow, in addition to the obvious functions.

There's also the toilet. The toilet is not only one of the most important parts of the bathroom; it also serves as the main source of reading material within a typical home. The average person drinks around 20,000 gallons per year of water.

scary facts about the world

Aside from the obvious, the human body also has a "sneezing" function. Over-sneezing can cause a fracture of a rib. Over 8,000 taste senses reside in the human nose. More than one hundred taste buds are found in the tongue.

The human brain can produce more energy than is needed to power a lightbulb. The human body can also produce 350,000 Joules of energy an hour, if you don’t include the ovaries. This is more energy than it takes to make a lightbulb flash.

Some other fascinating facts about human bodies include our "diving", reflex, eyes being the largest organ of our bodies and the fact that our bodies can fly. Our roads are also home to more cars than we have people. However, there are more crayfish than people in the ocean so it is safe to say that our bodies are much more impressive than we think.

FAQ

Do you wonder how much trash is produced each day across the globe?

According to the United Nations, the average person produces over 2.5 pounds of daily waste. That adds up to over 25 billion pounds of garbage per year!

Most of this trash ends up in landfill dumps or incinerators. But what happens when those dumpsters get full? Where does all that rubbish go?Well, most of it gets shipped out of the country. It is then shipped out and dumped in other countries. This pollutes the ecosystems. But now we know, thanks to one man. His name is Mike Sexton. He runs Waste Watchers, a company that monitors the movements of trucks carrying trash all across North America. He then reports back to us on what happens next.

Sexton said he enjoys his job. "We've got a lot of fun," he told CNN. "You know, we see these big rigs come through town, and we'll follow them. "Sexton started following truck driver almost 20 years back.

"It's all I felt," he stated.

Sexton loved the story about the driver who pulled over at an abandoned gas station close to Los Angeles. Sexton recalls, "The guy was searching for somewhere to put his loads." "He drove down the street and saw this building. He backed up and entered the building. "There was a pair of large, full-sized roll-off boxes. The guy took everything out and started filling up the truck again. "Then he took out everything and began to fill up the truck. There were many old tires, furniture, rags and mattresses. It was a complete mess. But it had been cleared out before he arrived. There wasn't any trash."

This begs the question: Why? It is because the location used to belong to a recycling centre. People who found out about this facility would drive to it to recycle their trash. Sexton explained that people would bring home their household items, and then take them to the building. After they were done, they would dispose of the empty containers.

This could happen hundreds of time per week. The truck can be stopped running if it is so full of junk that it has to come back hundreds of times per week. The owner eventually abandons the vehicle.

But, this isn't the only problem that our planet is facing.

Plastic pieces make up most of these particles. Others get washed into rivers or oceans. And when they reach the ocean, they often end up in the stomachs of fish.

Experts say if nothing changes, we could soon face a global food shortage. "If we keep going like we're going, we're not going to make it," one expert warned. But even though scientists agree that the world is headed toward disaster, most people don't seem worried.

Which is the most secretive city in the world?

The answer to that question may shock you. This may make you feel uncomfortable as it challenges your perception of reality and the way we live. However, there's a reason for this place to exist. It's not what we would expect.

The ancient Greeks called it the City of God. In the Bible, it was known as the City of Destruction.

It's also known as Kashi (Kashmir) in India. It's also known as Novgorod in Russia.

However, in America it is called The Town that Disappeared.

One tiny town in western New York State lost its 1,200 inhabitants without trace. With the exception of a road marker pointing to its former site, there were no remains: cars, bodies, houses.

The little village vanished, with no trace of its existence. Some say the earth swallowed it up. Others claim that a meteorite hit destroyed it. Others claim it was taken away by aliens.

The people of this once-thriving community, however, are positive that the town won't disappear forever. They just moved to another city.

Even a website exists to help track down the disappearances of the lost city Zugspitz.

Then, where is it? It's in Switzerland, actually!

You can find Zugspitze at the border of Austria and Germany. A huge lake, Lake Zugspitze, is located just beyond the summit.

It has always fascinated and astonished me to see how many towns have vanished but still exist. Is it possible that some towns disappear and others are preserved? I decided to investigate.

I wanted to know more about the mysterious disappearing towns. Is it possible for a place to vanish? How can one place vanish from existence?

It turned out that there are many theories about disappearing towns. One theory is that a city disappears after all buildings have been demolished. Another theory is that the town moves to another place. Another theory suggests that the town has never existed.

The fact is that hundreds of towns all over the world have been swept away by the ground, despite theories to the contrary. This video examines the past and present status of these areas.

What is the most interesting fact about the human body?

There are two eyes, two ears. Two nostrils. Four limbs. A mouth, nose and penis. It's true, we have more 50 parts of our body, but there is one thing missing. The heart.

A heart is the pump that circulates blood throughout a body. The blood moves through the arteries and veins to transport oxygen and nutrients into the cells, and remove carbon dioxide.

The heart pumps about 5 liters blood per minute. This amount is equivalent to an adult drinking 2-3 cups of coffee daily.

The heart pumps blood 24 hours a days, 365 days per year. While you are sleeping, your heart beats about 100 times per second.

Skin color can be used to determine if someone has a medical condition. Capillaries are tiny blood vessels visible on the skin's surface. These small vessels carry blood from the large blood vessel in the skin back towards the heart. When blood flow is blocked, the skin turns blue or purple.

People with sickle cells lack red blood cell. Their blood becomes sticky and hardens, causing them to become very ill.

A bandage can be used to stop bleeding if you have cut your own skin. The wound must remain open for blood to flow properly. Doctors insert a needle into the injured area through the skin. This allows the blood from the injured area to drain.

Doctors can also insert catheters into the artery close to the area where the bloodclot has formed. This keeps the patient alive until the clot breaks up naturally.

What dark secrets do Hollywood have?

Hollywood is filled with secret societies. Some secret societies are cultlike groups that have strict rules and rituals. Other clubs are for people who share common interests.

But there are also more nefarious organizations that control much of the industry. Companies such as the MPAA, which determines film ratings, or the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), that set music licensing fees, are examples of these.

Many unions and guilds represent actors, directors writers, producers, and others. Many of the major TV networks and movie studios are owned or controlled by large corporations.

The fact is that regardless of how secretive any group may be, someone somewhere knows exactly who they are. However, we shouldn't fear them.

Instead, embrace them. Because they help us make better choices.

They can tell us which movies and songs are likely to be successful, as well as what books and novels will be most popular.

They are, in short, what help us choose what we will watch, read and listen too.

We can trust our advisors and ignore advice that isn't in accord with our tastes.

Because we have chosen to ignore their power, they are even more powerful. They become the ultimate arbiters for taste.

If you don't like their words, you can choose to ignore them.

So now let's look at some of the lesser-known but still very real Hollywood secret societies.

You'll see why they are so important.
