FAQ

What is the most mysterious area on earth?

Antarctica is home to the most mysterious and remote place on Earth.

Why do we find this place so intriguing? Because it is unlike any place on Earth.

It is remote, isolated, and extremely difficult to visit. This site has more to it than meets your eye.

This natural wonder is also home to some of the strangest wildlife species.

Let's look at how this extraordinary destination became so mysterious.

Antarctica: The South Pole

It is not known why Antarctica was called Antarctica. Others believe it means "land with ice". Others believe it comes from Greek mythology.

Antarktis, the Greek name for the island on which Zeus' twin brothers were conceived, was used in ancient Greece. According to legend, one of the twins was born in winter. Hence, the word antarctic.

Others think the name came from the Greek words anti, meaning against, and tropos meaning turn. This would mean land turned away from the sun.

Whatever the reason Antarctica has held a special fascination for people, it is undeniable.

It is the coldest, windiest, driest and highest continent. It is too cold for trees, plants and animals.

This frozen wasteland is still alive.

It houses approximately 90% of all Earth's living organisms. It is home to approximately half of all world's animal and plant species.

What is the secret to Antarctica's unique environment? Here water freezes to ice and not evaporates into the atmosphere.

This creates large masses of ice that float above the ground.

These floating glaciers cover 80% of the continent. They're getting bigger every year.

So far, the Antarctic ice sheet has grown 60 feet since 1960.

The sea level will rise up to 200 feet if melting continues. This could lead to massive flooding across the globe.

Not everyone believes this is bad news. Some scientists believe that global warming can be beneficial. They claim that the melting of ice sheets could accelerate as temperatures rise. This would lead to flooding that removes tons of toxic chemicals and soil from our bodies.

But others warn that this theory sounds like a plot from a science fiction movie.

What is the most secretive place in the world, and why?

The answer to that question may shock you. It may even make it uncomfortable, as it challenges our perceptions of reality and our lives. But there is a reason why this place exists. And it is not what you would expect.

The City of God was its name by the ancient Greeks. According to the Bible, it was called the City of Destruction.

In India, it's called Kashi (Kashmir). It is also called Novgorod in Russia.

It is known as The Town That Disappeared in America.

One small New York State town with just 1,200 people vanished. It was abandoned without any remains, including no bodies, cars, or houses. The only thing that survived was a road sign, which pointed to its former location.

This little town disappeared, leaving no clues about where it went or when. Some say the earth swallowed it up. Others believe it was destroyed by a meteorite. Others believe that aliens took it.

Regardless of what happened, residents of this once-thriving town are certain that their town won't be forgotten forever. They just moved to another city.

There is even a website dedicated to tracking the disappearance of the lost city of Zugspitz.

The question is, where did this place go? It's in Switzerland.

The border of Austria and Germany is at Zugspitze. A huge lake, Lake Zugspitze, is located just beyond the summit.

It's always fascinated me how so many towns disappear, yet others remain. Why does some vanish while others remain? I decided that I would investigate.

I was curious about the disappearing towns. What is the secret to a town's disappearance? How can one place become extinct?

There are many theories regarding the phenomenon of towns disappearing. One theory says that a town disappears when all the buildings are demolished. Another theory states that the town simply moves to another location. A third theory holds that the town did not exist.

The fact is that hundreds of towns all over the world have been swept away by the ground, despite theories to the contrary. This video examines the history and current status of these places.

Is there any Hollywood blacklist for actors?

There is a Hollywood blacklist.

But, the list has not been made public. As far as we are aware, the names are not even known. This is why it matters.

The reason for the secrecy is that the blacklisted actors and directors wouldn't be able to find jobs. The studios would be out of business as they lose money. Which means they'd cut back on spending money on movies. This would result in fewer opportunities available for blacklisted filmmakers. This could lead to them going bankrupt.

This could result in even more victims.

When someone tries making an Oscar winning movie they might be asked for a contract. This means that they can't publicly criticize their employer. The same goes for any director or producer who wants to get nominated for an award.

Producers often pressure directors to cut scenes from their films. Directors may threaten to quit projects that don’t align with their vision.

This is why there is a Hollywood blacklist. You'll likely become unemployed if you say bad things about your employer. That's bad for everyone.

The problem is that many people have been falsely accused. They've had the toil to clear their name.

This is unacceptable behavior and must be stopped. We must ensure that everyone has the right to express themselves freely.

Also, we must take down the Hollywood blacklist.

Have you ever wondered what amount of trash is generated each day worldwide?

According to the United Nations there are more than 25 billion tons of garbage produced each year.

The majority of this garbage ends up in incinerators or landfills. But what happens when the dumpsters become full? Where does all that rubbish go?Well, most of it gets shipped out of the country. It then gets dumped in foreign countries, polluting their ecosystems. However, now we know where all that trash goes. Mike Sexton is his name. He runs a company called Waste Watchers. He spends his days watching the movements of trucks transporting trash across North America. He then reports back to us on what happens next.

Sexton claims he is very satisfied with his job. CNN spoke with Sexton that they have a lot fun. "We see these big trucks coming through town, so we'll keep following them. "Sexton began to follow truck drivers around 20 years ago.

"It's all I felt," he stated.

Sexton loved the story about the driver who pulled over at an abandoned gas station close to Los Angeles. Sexton recalls, "The guy was searching for somewhere to put his loads." "He drove along the road and saw this structure. So he backed up and went inside. "There were two large roll-off containers full of stuff. The guy took everything out and started filling up the truck again. "The man looked around the area and decided to unload all of it. There were old tires and rags, furniture pieces, mattresses, mattresses and boxes. "It was a complete mess. But it had been cleaned before he arrived. There wasn't any trash anywhere."

This is the reason why it happened. The answer is that this location was once part of a recycling facility. People who knew about it would drive to this location to recycle their garbage. "They'd bring their household items and take them to this building," Sexton explained. And after they finished, they would leave the empty containers behind.

Now, because of the way the law works, once a container reaches its destination, it cannot be opened. So no matter how often someone takes something out of it, the thing will never be emptied.Every time the truck comes by, it has to start over again. This could happen hundreds times per week. Finally, the truck stops running completely due to its excessive junk. The owner eventually abandons the vehicle.

Trash is not the only problem our planet faces.

These tiny plastic particles make up the majority of the particles. Some end up in incinerators or landfills. Others end up in rivers, oceans or the stomachss of fish.

Experts warn that the world may soon face a shortage of food if we don't make any changes. Experts warn, "If you keep going like you're going," we could soon face a global food shortage. But most people don't seem to be worried, even though scientists are unanimous in warning us that the world is heading towards disaster.
