FAQ

What is the most mysterious location on Earth?

Antarctica is the most mysterious continent on Earth.

Why is this place so amazing? Because it is unlike any other spot on Earth.

It is difficult to access because it is remote and extremely isolated. But there is more to this site than meets the eye.

You'll also find the strangest species of wildlife in this natural wonder.

Let's look at how this extraordinary destination became so mysterious.

Antarctica: The South Pole

Antarctica's name is a mystery. Some say it means "land on ice." Others believe it derives from Greek mythology.

Antarktis was an ancient Greek name that was given to the island where Zeus and his twin brothers, Zeus. According to some legends, one of these twins was born in winter. The term antarctic is derived from this.

Others believe that it is the Greek word anti, which means against, and tropos, which refers to turning. This would translate to land that is turned away from the sun.

Whatever the reason Antarctica has held a special fascination for people, it is undeniable.

It is the driest, windiest of all continents. There are no trees, plants, or animals here because it is too cold.

Yet, this frozen wasteland is alive.

Here, 90 percent live of all species of living things. Here are approximately 50% of all the animal and plant species in the world.

What is it that makes Antarctica so unique? Here water freezes to ice and not evaporates into the atmosphere.

This causes large ice masses to rise above the ground.

These glaciers cover more than 80% of the continent. And they're growing larger every year.

Since 1960, the Antarctic ice sheets has grown 60ft.

If the melting continues, sea level could rise up to 200ft. It could result in massive flooding all over the world.

This is not necessarily bad news. Some scientists suggest that global warming could actually be good for us. They say that as temperatures rise, the ice sheets might melt faster, causing floods that flush out tons of toxic chemicals from our soil and bodies.

Others cautioned that this theory sounds too science fiction.

What is one of the most amazing facts about the human body

Two eyes, two ears and two nostrils are part of our bodies. We also have four limbs: a mouth, nose, penis, and four limbs. That's right, we have more than 50 parts of our bodies, but one thing is missing. A heart.

A heart is the pump that circulates blood throughout a body. The blood moves through the arteries and veins to transport oxygen and nutrients into the cells, and remove carbon dioxide.

Each minute, the heart pumps approximately 5 liters. This is equivalent of an adult drinking 2 to 3 cups of coffee each day.

The heart is constantly pumping blood, 24 hours a week, 365 day a year. While sleeping, your heart beats close to 100 times per minute.

Because of the color and texture of their skin, you can tell if someone is healthy or sick. You can see tiny blood vessels, called capillaries, when you look closely at the skin. These small vessels carry blood away from the large blood vessels in the skin back to the heart. The skin turns purple or blue when there is a blockage in blood flow.

People suffering from sickle cell disease have no red blood cells. Patients with sickle cell disease have their blood become sticky and harden, leading to severe illness.

To stop bleeding from a cut, you can apply a bandage to the wound. Blood must flow in order for the wound to heal properly. Doctors insert a needle into the injured area through the skin. This allows blood to drain from the area.

A doctor can also insert tubes (catheters), into an artery in the vicinity of where blood clots form. This keeps the patient alive till the blood clot dissolves naturally.

What dark secrets are there in Hollywood?

Hollywood is filled secret societies. Some secret societies are cultlike groups that have strict rules and rituals. Other clubs are for people who share common interests.

There are also other, more evil organizations that control large parts of the industry. These include the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America), the organization that sets film ratings and RIAA(Recording Industry Association of America), the company that sets music licensing fees.

Numerous unions or guilds also represent producers, writers, actors, etc. Large corporations own most major studios and networks of television.

It doesn't matter how secretive a group might seem, someone somewhere knows what they are doing. But that doesn't mean we should fear them.

Instead, embrace them. Because they can help us make better decisions.

They also tell us about the movies that are most likely to succeed and which songs are most popular.

These help us to decide what we'll watch, read, listen, and buy.

We can trust them so we can ignore their advice when it doesn't suit our taste.

And because we've chosen to ignore them, they become even more powerful. They are the supreme arbiters of taste.

You are free to ignore their messages if that bothers you.

Let's now look at some lesser-known, but still very real Hollywood secret organizations.

You can see why they are so vital.

What is the reason actors are blacklisted?

An actor is more likely to get rejected than a writer. As an actor, it's likely that you will be rejected a lot. You will find someone who loves and accepts you eventually.

Actors can often make a living from acting because they are very talented. However, most actors aren't interested in making money. Actors enjoy acting and telling stories. It's likely that you will be acting if your passion is acting.

You might even go to auditions where you're told that you're too old, too young, or not right for the role. Or you might audition for a movie and lose out to another person. That happens a lot.

Once you've been cast you might also be subject to criticism. People may tell you that your makeup looks terrible and you shouldn't use it. If you're lucky, you won't even hear negative comments.

Sometimes you'll be criticized because you're playing a character that isn't realistic or authentic. You could be a gay actor and everyone assumes you are straight. Or maybe you play a woman who is supposed to be tough, but she cries a lot.

Sometimes, they ask you to change your voice. Sometimes, they will ask you to sound more like a woman or a man. Most of the time, however, they want to hear better.

To ignore criticisms is the best way to respond. Actors often feel that they've failed if they are told they did something wrong. But the truth is that they haven't done anything wrong.

They weren't born with the talents that made them famous. They don't always fit the bill, no matter how hard they try.

There are lots of reasons why an actor could get blacklisted. Some people don't like actors. Others think that actors are lazy. Others believe actors cheat.

Whatever the reason, it's important to realize that you will not get blacklisted if you keep trying. There are plenty of jobs available and you'll find them.

You will eventually succeed if you keep trying.

How To

Secret societies and clubs in American history

American History has many secret societies and clubs that are fascinating. One reason is because of the mystery surrounding them. A second reason is their impact on society.

American history has seen secret societies and clubs used to promote ideas that were otherwise taboo. These ideas include anti-Semitism and racism. These groups also helped spread political ideologies such as communism and socialism.

The most famous organization in American history is the Ku Klux Klan. This group was founded in 1865 following the Civil War. Its mission was to protect white males from African Americans.

Other organizations were also formed during this period, including the Knights Templars, Freemasons and Odd Fellows. They all had similar goals and beliefs.

Another fascinating aspect of secret societies was that their memberships were often limited to males. These secret societies also included women. These women included Emma Goldman. Margaret Sanger. And Susan B Anthony.

Other secret societies, aside from the ones mentioned, did not share the same ideals. The Order of Skull & Bones for instance was founded in 1832. Their goal was to create an elite group within the United States.
