FAQ

What dark secrets do Hollywood have?

Hollywood is filled with secret societies. Some are cult-like groups where members follow strict rules and rituals, while others are simply clubs for those who share common interests.

But there are also more nefarious organizations that control much of the industry. These include companies like the MPAA ("Motion Picture Association of America"), which determines film ratings. The RIAA ("Recording Industry Association of America") sets music licensing fees.

Numerous unions or guilds also represent producers, writers, actors, etc. Most major movie studios and television networks are owned by large corporations which own these various organizations.

The point is that no matter how secretive any group may seem, someone somewhere knows exactly what they do. We shouldn't fear these people.

Instead, we should embrace them. Because they offer us information that can help us make better decision.

They also tell us about the movies that are most likely to succeed and which songs are most popular.

They are, in short, what help us choose what we will watch, read and listen too.

We can trust their advice and we can ignore it if it contradicts our values.

And because we've chosen to ignore them, they become even more powerful. They become the ultimate arbiters for taste.

You are free to ignore their messages if that bothers you.

So now let's look at some of the lesser-known but still very real Hollywood secret societies.

You can see why they are so vital.

How does the brain regulate the functions of the body?

To ensure that they work together, messages are sent by the brain to other organs. Your brain controls all that happens in your body. It tells your stomach how to digest food and your lungs how to inhale oxygen; it also tells your arms, legs and feet to move.

Your brain is made of billions, or neurons, of nerve cells. Action potentials on Axons are an electrical signal that neurons send to each other. Each neuron has a cell membrane surrounding its nucleus. The membrane contains channels that allow ions like sodium and potassium to enter the cell and leave it. The neuron is lit by an electric charge created by the movement of ions.

Neurotransmitters, chemical substances that are released when a neuron fires. Neurotransmitters attach to the receptors of the second neuron and open ions channels for ions to pass in and out. This causes the second neuron to fire too.

Neurotransmitter releases occur when a presynaptic neurons receives an input from another neuron. The impulse travels along an synapse between the neurons. The transmitter binds to receptors on the postsynaptic neuron, triggering the firing of the postsynaptic neuron.

Neurotransmitters are important for communication within the nervous system. They coordinate brain activity among different parts.

What is the most secretive town in the world?

The answer to that question may shock you. This may make you feel uncomfortable as it challenges your perception of reality and the way we live. But there is an explanation for why this place exists, and it's not what you would expect.

The ancient Greeks called it the City of God. According to the Bible, it was called the City of Destruction.

It is called Kashi (Kashmir in India). It's also known as Novgorod in Russia.

However, in America it is called The Town that Disappeared.

One small community in western New York State with 1,200 residents vanished without a trace. With the exception of a road marker pointing to its former site, there were no remains: cars, bodies, houses.

This little community vanished and no trace remains to indicate where or when it disappeared. Some believe it was swallowed by the earth. Some claim it was destroyed by a meteorite impact. Others believe that aliens took it.

Despite what may have happened, the people who lived in this once-thriving area are confident that their town will not be lost forever. They had just moved to a new town.

You can even track the disappearance of Zugspitz on a dedicated website.

The question is, where did this place go? It's in Switzerland.

You can find Zugspitze at the border of Austria and Germany. Just beyond the summit of the mountain is a huge lake called Lake Zugspitze.

I have always been fascinated by the fact that so many towns have vanished, but some remain. Why does some vanish while others remain? I set out to find out.

I was curious about the disappearing towns. What causes a town to disappear? What makes a place disappear?

It turned out that there are many theories about disappearing towns. One theory states that a town vanishes when all its buildings are destroyed. Another theory suggests that the town simply moves somewhere else. A third theory holds that the town did not exist.

The fact is that hundreds of towns all over the world have been swept away by the ground, despite theories to the contrary. This video examines the past and present status of these areas.

What is the most intriguing fact about the human anatomy?

We have two eyes and two ears, two nostrils each, four limbs, four limbs and a penis. It's true, we have more 50 parts of our body, but there is one thing missing. A heart.

A heart is the pump that circulates blood throughout a body. Blood travels through the arteries and veins, carrying oxygen and nutrients to the cells and removing carbon dioxide and waste products.

Each minute, the heart pumps 5 liters of blood. This is equivalent to an adult consuming 2-3 cups of coffee per day.

The heart pumps blood 24 hours a days, 365 days per year. When you're asleep, your heart beats approximately 100 times per hour.

You can tell whether someone is healthy or unhealthy because of the color of their skin. Capillaries are tiny blood vessels visible on the skin's surface. These small vessels carry blood from the large blood vessel in the skin back towards the heart. The skin becomes blue-colored or purple when blood flow is restricted.

Red blood cells are missing in people with sickle-cell disease. Patients with sickle cell disease have their blood become sticky and harden, leading to severe illness.

If you cut yourself, a bandage is applied to stop the bleeding. Blood must flow in order for the wound to heal properly. To do this, doctors will insert a needle through your skin into the vein adjacent to the injury. This allows the blood to drain from the injured area.

A doctor can also insert tubes (catheters), into an artery in the vicinity of where blood clots form. This keeps patients alive until the clot has broken up naturally.

How To

American history's secret societies and clubs

Many reasons make American History's secret societies and clubs fascinating. They are mysterious because of this. Another reason is because of their effect on our society.

Secret societies and clubs have been used throughout America's history to promote ideas that would otherwise be considered taboo. These ideas include anti-Semitism and racism. These groups also spread ideologies like communism and socialists.

The Ku Klux Klan, the most famous American organization, is also the most important. This group was formed in 1865 after the Civil War ended. Its purpose was to protect white men from African Americans.

Other organizations were also formed during this period, including the Knights Templars, Freemasons and Odd Fellows. All of these groups shared similar beliefs and goals.

Another interesting thing about secret societies is the fact that membership was often restricted to males. These groups also had women members. These women included Emma Goldman. Margaret Sanger and Susan B Anthony.

The ideals shared by the secret societies mentioned earlier were not shared by all. The Order of Skull & Bones for instance was founded in 1832. Their goal: to create an elite American class.
