The North Korean Reality

facts that will scare you

North Korea's economy isn't as dire as you might think. While the country's GDP has been growing at a rate of 2-3% per year, its base in rural areas is still low. This turnaround is striking, considering the famine that plagued the nation decades ago. The "donjo", or "masters" of money, is a relatively wealthy group that has emerged and is now participating in the private market. Despite severe economic sanctions from the United States of America and other countries, they have done so.

North Korea: The Life

Public transportation is another aspect of life in North Korea. Though most North Koreans do not own cars, they use public transportation to get around the country. Public transport is essential because the majority of North Koreans cannot afford to buy cars or taxis. Although public transport in North Korea is outdated and primitive, it is vital for the survival of many citizens. The economy of North Korea relies on mining, and many people must find alternative sources of income to make ends meet.

North Korea is often hard, especially in the winter. For warmth, coal is used by many. This poses a risk to their respiratory health. Temperatures can also drop to as low as -13degC in the day. To avoid freezing, children used to sleep on trains in the past. A train passing would dismember them if their legs touched the rails.

Covid-19 pandemic

The North Korean government declares victory over Covid-19 and has implemented strict quarantine rules. But, the number of cases and deaths in other nations is increasing, which means they are not achieving their goal to eradicate the disease. Instead, they have turned inwards. This is a harder situation to grasp than in the past. We need to see the realities of North Korea in order to understand how this is all happening.

Experts question the accuracy and reliability of North Korea's COVID-19 official virus statistics, but daily updates by the state-run media make the situation seem certain that the country will eradicate the disease. It is believed that 18% of 26 million North Koreans are infected with the virus. However, only 100 of these people have actually died. Without testing, it is impossible to determine how many.

Economic collapse

North Korean economic reforms are necessary if the country is to achieve unification. These reforms need to be conducted in an orderly way. There are however additional assumptions that should be considered. These include a falling stock of physical capital, declining labor productivity, large fiscal transfers, and large flows from the south to northern.

In the early 1990s, the country faced severe economic hardships. The collapse of the Soviet Union and communist regimes in eastern Europe meant that North Korea lost its major trading partners and much of its foreign aid. China reduced, but did not eliminate, its supply of North Korean materials. China also began demanding cash payments for materials. In addition, a series of natural disasters affected the country. This led to severe shortages of food and grains. Starvation became a common occurrence by the mid-1990s.

Threat from weapons of mass destruction

The United States faces the greatest threat from North Korea's arsenal of nuclear weapons. North Korean authorities have shown they have enough fissile matter to produce six to seven new nuclear weapons each year. It may even be able to reach the US mainland with ICBMs. Even though the North Korean government denies that they intend to use these weapons in any way, it remains a major threat.

Although the United States and North Korea have not yet declared war, there is still a real threat to war and the United Nations Security Council has increased sanctions. In July 2020, the U.S. Army reported that North Korea might have as many as 60 nuclear weapons and possess the technical capacity to produce six nuclear weapons per year. Army Gen. Mark Milley (Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff) stated that North Korea has the technical capability to produce such weapons in May 2021.

Have you ever wondered how much trash is produced worldwide each day?

According to the United Nations the average person creates more than 2.5 lbs of waste daily. That adds up over 25 billion kilos of garbage every year.

Most of this trash ends up in landfill dumps or incinerators. But what happens when those dumpsters get full? Where does all that rubbish go?Well, most of it gets shipped out of the country. It then gets dumped in foreign countries, polluting their ecosystems. However, now we know where all that trash goes. Mike Sexton is his real name. He owns a company called Waste Watchers. He spends his time watching trucks hauling trash around North America. Then he reports back to us about what happens next.

Sexton said he enjoys his job. CNN's Sexton said, "We have a lot to enjoy." "We often see large rigs passing through our town and we will follow them. "Sexton started following truck drivers nearly 20 years ago.

He stated, "I just fell in Love with It."

He loved the story of the driver who pulled into an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. Sexton remembered, "The man was looking for somewhere to put the load." "He drove down the road to see this building. So he pulled over and went inside. "There were two enormous roll-off containers filled with stuff. The man removed everything from the truck and started to load it again. "Then he took out everything and began to fill up the truck. There were lots of old tires, rags furniture, mattresses, mattresses, cans, cans, and other items. "It was just a total mess. But it had been cleaned out before he came along. There wasn't any trash."

So why did this happen? The answer is that this location was once part of a recycling facility. People who knew about it would drive to this location to recycle their garbage. "They'd bring their household items and take them to this building," Sexton explained. And after they finished, they would leave the empty containers behind.

It can happen hundreds of thousands of times per week. The truck can be stopped running if it is so full of junk that it has to come back hundreds of times per week. The owner finally decides to stop using the truck.

But, this isn't the only problem that our planet is facing.

The majority of these particles are made of small pieces of plastic. Some are washed into rivers and oceans. Others end up with fish in their stomachs.

Experts warn that if there is no change, the world could soon be facing a food shortage. One expert said, "If we keep going as we are going, we're never going to make it," but most people don’t seem concerned.

How does your brain control your body's functions?

To ensure that they work together, messages are sent by the brain to other organs. The brain controls everything that happens in your body. It tells your stomach to digest food and your lungs to breathe air; it tells your arms and legs to move.

Your brain consists of billions of nerve cells connected in groups called neurons. Action potentials, which are electrical signals sent by neurons to each other via axons, allow them to communicate with one another. Each neuron is covered by a cell membrane. Channels within the membrane allow ions such potassium and sodium to enter and leave the cells. Ion movement is what causes the neurons to fire.

Neurotransmitters, chemical substances that are released when a neuron fires. Neurotransmitters can bind to receptors at the second neuron. They open ions channels, allowing ions to move in and outside of the channel. As a result, second neuron fires as well.

Neurotransmitter production occurs when a neuron in the presynaptic receives an impulsive signal from another. The impulse travels along an synapse between the neurons. The transmitter binds directly to the receptors in the postsynaptic nervous neuron, and triggers the firing.

They are vital for the communication between nerve cells. They also help coordinate activity between different parts of the brain.

Is there a more mysterious place than the Earth itself?

Antarctica is the world's most mysterious place on Earth.

Why is this place so amazing? Because it is unlike any place on Earth.

It is difficult to access because it is remote and extremely isolated. It is not what you see.

This natural wonder is also home to some of the strangest wildlife species.

Let's find out how this mysterious destination became so famous.

Antarctica: The South Pole

Antarctica is named for no one. Some believe it refers to "land of ice". Others believe it derives from Greek mythology.

In ancient Greece, Antarktis was the name given to the island where Zeus' twin brothers were born. One of the twins was said to have been born in winter. The term antarctic is derived from this.

Others think the name came from the Greek words anti, meaning against, and tropos meaning turn. This would mean land turned away from the sun.

Whatever the reason Antarctica has held a special fascination for people, it is undeniable.

It is the coldest, windiest, driest and highest continent. Because it is too frigid, there are no trees, animals, or plants.

Yet, life is abundant in this frozen wilderness.

Here, 90 percent live of all species of living things. It is home to approximately half of all world's animal and plant species.

What is Antarctica? Here water freezes to ice and not evaporates into the atmosphere.

This causes large amounts of ice to float above ground.

These floating glaciers cover over 80%. They are growing in size every year.

Since 1960, the Antarctic ice sheets has grown 60ft.

If the melting continues, the sea level will rise by up to 200 feet. It could result in massive flooding all over the world.

This is not necessarily bad news. Some scientists think global warming might be beneficial. They believe that global warming will lead to melting ice sheets faster and floods that can flush toxic chemicals out of our soils and bodies.

Others warn that this theory sounds like something out of a science-fiction movie.
