Many civilizations existed in this ancient world. But many of them have disappeared. Many times, lost cities are found below the ground and nobody knows where they are. Sometimes they are destroyed by war or natural disasters. Whatever the reason, these ancient cities were important to the human population.
Dwarves and Elves, Titans, Fairies, and Titans once lived in the lost cities. The buildings of the destroyed city became decrepit after their inhabitants died or were moved to new cities. These buildings are now guarded by parasites, and they contain valuable loot.
Machu Picchu is one the most iconic lost cities of the world. Machu Picchu was constructed by the Incas in the early sixteenth century, but it was abandoned several centuries later. It was completely undiscovered by the outside world for more then 100 years. It was rediscovered by Hawaiian historian Hiram in 1911. It is located 2,430m above sealevel and protected by natural springs, agricultural terraces, and other features.

Caral, located in Peru's Supe Valley, is another of the lost cities. According to legend, this site was inhabited between 2600 BC-2000 BC. There are six large platform mounds that surround the huge plaza. Modern estimates estimate that there are between 40,000 and 50.000 people living in this area.
Cuzco and El Dorado are just a few of the other lost cities in South America. Archeologists have been able find evidence of the existence of these cities, even though they aren't confirmed. Based on El Dorado's tale, a British soap opera was made in the 1990s.
Ciudad Perdida is a former great city. It is located in Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia. It was rebuilt in the 1980s. Its architecture featured a circular plaza as well as a network paved roads. The Spanish conquest ended the city's existence. Some of its surviving inhabitants kept contact with its former inhabitants. Others identified themselves as Pompeiiians.

FAQ
Have you ever wondered what amount of trash is generated each day worldwide?
According to the United Nations the average person creates more than 2.5 lbs of waste daily. That adds up over 25 billion kilos of garbage every year.
Most of this rubbish ends up in landfills or incinerators. But, what happens when those dumpsters fill up? All that trash ends up being shipped out of country. It then gets dumped in foreign countries, polluting their ecosystems. However, now we know where all that trash goes. Mike Sexton is his real name. He runs Waste Watchers, a company that monitors the movements of trucks carrying trash all across North America. He reports back to us about the next steps.
Sexton stated that he finds the job very satisfying. CNN spoke with Sexton that they have a lot fun. "We see big rigs coming through town and we'll follow them. "Sexton started following truck driver almost 20 years back.
"I just fell in love with it," he said.
Sexton loved the story about the driver who pulled over at an abandoned gas station close to Los Angeles. Sexton remembered, "The man was looking for somewhere to put the load." "He drove down the road and saw this building. So he backed up and went inside. "There were 2 large containers that had been rolled off, and they were full of stuff. The man got everything out of the truck and began filling it up again. "The man looked around the area and decided to unload all of it. There were many old tires, furniture, rags and mattresses. It was a complete mess. But it had been cleaned before he arrived. There wasn't any trash anywhere."
So why did this happen? This particular spot used to be a recycling center. People would drive there to recycle their trash. "They'd bring their household items and take them to this building," Sexton explained. And after they finished, they would leave the empty containers behind.
This can happen hundreds of times a week. It could happen hundreds of thousands of times a week. The truck eventually stops running because it has become so jammed with junk. The owner eventually decides to dump the truck.
However, trash is not the only problem on our planet.
These tiny plastic particles make up the majority of the particles. Some end up in incinerators or landfills. Some end up in rivers and oceans, while others end up in fish's stomachs.
Experts warn that if there is no change, the world could soon be facing a food shortage. "If we keep going like we're going, we're not going to make it," one expert warned. But even though scientists agree that the world is headed toward disaster, most people don't seem worried.
What is the most surprising fact about your body?
We have two eyes, two ears, two nostrils, four limbs, a mouth, a nose, and a penis. That's right, we have more than 50 parts of our bodies, but one thing is missing. A heart.
The heart is a pump that circulates blood throughout your body. The blood moves through the veins. It transports oxygen and nutrients to your cells. It also removes carbon dioxide.
The heart pumps out about 5 liters per minute. This is equivalent to a person drinking 2-3 cups coffee daily.
The heart pumps blood 24 hours a days, 365 days per year. While you sleep, your heart beats almost 100 times per minute.
Color of your skin is a good indicator of whether someone is healthy. If you examine the skin closely, you will see tiny blood vessels called capillaries. These tiny vessels transport blood from the larger blood vessels to the heart. If blood flow is blocked, skin can turn blue or purple.
People with sickle cell disease lack red blood cells. They become very sick when their blood becomes hardened and sticky.
If you cut yourself, a bandage is applied to stop the bleeding. Blood must continue to flow to allow the wounds to heal properly. To do this, doctors insert a needle through the skin into the vein next to the injury. This allows the blood to drain from the injured area.
Doctors can also insert catheters into the artery close to the area where the bloodclot has formed. This keeps patients alive until the clot has broken up naturally.
Why do actors end up on the blacklist?
As an actor, rejection is much more common than for writers. As an actor, it's likely that you will be rejected a lot. You will find someone who loves and accepts you eventually.
Actors are often very talented and can make a living anywhere. Actors don't really care about making money. Actors love acting, and love telling stories. Actors are likely to be outspoken.
It is possible to be told that you are not suitable for the role, or that you are too old or too young. Or you might audition for a movie and lose out to another person. It happens all the times.
You may be criticised once your casting is complete. People will tell you that you look terrible or shouldn't be wearing makeup. If you're lucky, you won't even hear negative comments.
Sometimes, your performance as a fictional character can be ridiculed. Maybe you play a gay man, and everyone thinks you're straight. Perhaps you play a woman that is supposed to be strong but who cries a lot.
You might be asked to change the sound of your voice. Sometimes they ask you to sound like a guy or a girl. They usually want you sound better.
It is best to ignore these criticisms. Actors feel like they've failed when told they did wrong. However, they aren't doing anything wrong.
They weren't born with the talents that made them famous. They may not fit the bill sometimes, no mater how hard they try.
Blacklisting an actor could be for many reasons. Some people don't like actors. Others think actors can be lazy. Some actors may be cheaters.
It doesn't matter what reason it may be, you won’t be banned if you keep trying. There are plenty of roles out there, and you'll find them.
Keep trying and you will eventually succeed.
How does your brain control your body's functions?
To ensure that other organs and muscle functions work together, the brain sends messages. Everything in your body is controlled and managed by your brain. It tells your stomach how to digest food and your lungs how to inhale oxygen; it also tells your arms, legs and feet to move.
Your brain is made up of billions upon billions of nerve cells that are connected together in groups called neuronal groups. Neurons communicate with each other by sending electrical signals called action potentials on axons. Every neuron has an outer cell membrane that surrounds its nucleus. The cell membrane houses channels that allow ions, such as potassium and sodium, to enter and exit the cells. Ion movement is what causes the neurons to fire.
When a neuron is activated, neurotransmitters release chemicals into the space between it and the next neuron. Neurotransmitters attach to the receptors of the second neuron and open ions channels for ions to pass in and out. As a result, the second neuron fires too.
Neurotransmitter releases occur when a presynaptic neurons receives an input from another neuron. The impulse travels along the synapse connecting the two neurons. The transmitter binds directly to the receptors in the postsynaptic nervous neuron, and triggers the firing.
They are vital for the communication between nerve cells. They are also responsible for coordinating activity between various parts of the brain.
