Each neuron has a cell membrane surrounding its nucleus. The membrane contains channels that allow ions like sodium and potassium to enter the cell and leave it. Ion movement creates the electric charge that causes the neuron to fire.
Neurotransmitters, which are chemicals that release neurotransmitters when a neuron fires up, can be found in the space between the neurons and the next one. Neurotransmitters can bind to receptors at the second neuron. They open ions channels, allowing ions to move in and outside of the channel. As a result, second neuron fires as well.
When another neuron sends an impulse to the presynaptic neural cell, neurotransmitter is released. The impulse travels along an synapse between the neurons. The transmitter binds directly to the receptors in the postsynaptic nervous neuron, and triggers the firing.
Neurotransmitters are important for communication within the nervous system. They coordinate brain activity among different parts.

I was curious about the disappearing towns. What causes a town to disappear? How can a town disappear from existence?
It turns out that there are several theories about the phenomenon of vanishing towns. One theory suggests that a community disappears when all of its buildings are removed. Another theory suggests that the town simply moves somewhere else. The third theory is that the town was never actually there.

What is Antarctica? Here, water freezes in ice rather that vaporizing into the atmosphere.
This causes large amounts of ice to float above ground.
These glaciers cover more than 80% of the continent. They continue to grow in size each year.
The Antarctic Ice Sheet has grown 60 feet in the past 60 years.
If the melting continues, the sea level will rise by up to 200 feet. This could lead to widespread flooding.
This does not mean that everyone is wrong. Some scientists think global warming might be beneficial. They say that as temperatures rise, the ice sheets might melt faster, causing floods that flush out tons of toxic chemicals from our soil and bodies.
Others cautioned that this theory sounds too science fiction.

The majority of this garbage ends up in incinerators or landfills. But what happens when the dumpsters become full? It goes to the United States, where most of it is exported. It is then shipped out and dumped in other countries. This pollutes the ecosystems. But now we know, thanks to one man. Mike Sexton is his nickname. He runs a company called Waste Watchers.He spends his days watching the movements of trucks transporting trash across North America. Then he reports back to us about what happens next.
Sexton claims he is very satisfied with his job. CNN's Sexton said, "We have a lot to enjoy." "We see big rigs coming through town and we'll follow them. "Sexton began to follow truck drivers around 20 years ago.
"I just fell in love with it," he said.
His favorite story involved a driver who pulled off at an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. Sexton described, "The guy was looking somewhere to put his load." "He drove down the road to see this building. He backed up and entered the building. "There was a pair of large, full-sized roll-off boxes. The guy took everything out and started filling up the truck again. "Then he took out everything and began to fill up the truck. There were many old tires, furniture, rags and mattresses. "It was a complete mess. But it had been cleared out before he arrived. There wasn’t trash everywhere."
This begs the question: Why? Well, the answer is that this particular location used to be part of a recycling center.People who learned about this facility would drive here to recycle their trash. Sexton explained that they would bring household items and take them to the building. Then, after they were done, they would empty the containers.
Now, because of the way the law works, once a container reaches its destination, it cannot be opened.So no matter how often someone takes something out of it, the thing will never be emptied.Every time the truck comes by, it has to start over again. This could happen hundreds times per week. Finally, the truck stops running completely due to its excessive junk. The truck eventually stops running and the owner decides that it is time to get rid of the vehicle.
Trash is not the only problem our planet faces.
These tiny plastic particles make up the majority of the particles. Some end up in incinerators or landfills. Some of these plastics end up in rivers or oceans.
