These are some disturbing facts about humans

10 scary facts

The novel "Disturbing facts" features a young lawyer who discovers some disturbing facts about her boss and family. Decapitations don't always lead to death. A human head retains consciousness for 30 seconds after being severed. A human head is capable of hearing voices.

Tendency to hear voices

Though hearing voices may be a sign or symptom of severe mental illnesses, it does not necessarily indicate that the voice is the source of such illness. It is thought that around 8% of the general public hear voices from time to time. A mere 1% of people who hear voices occasionally don't require psychiatric treatment.

Human head remains conscious for 30 seconds after decapitation

Although it's difficult to tell how long a human skull remains conscious after being severed, the fact that it does so is remarkable. Normally, we would expect the head to remain conscious for just a few moments, but this isn't always the case. Sometimes, the head is even conscious for longer periods of time after decapitation.

FAQ

What are 5 interesting facts about the liver?

The liver is responsible in breaking down toxins, storing vitamins and mineral, and for regulating blood pressure. It helps to regulate blood pressure and keep our bodies temperature stable.

Are you familiar with the expressions, "I feel sluggish today", or "my head feels heavy"? These symptoms may indicate problems with the liver.

Some common signs include dark urine, yellowing skin, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach cramps, jaundice (yellow coloration), and itching. But these aren't the only warning signs. If you feel any of these warning signs, consult your doctor immediately.

The liver is a vital organ. It is essential for detoxification and metabolism as well as reproduction.

  1. An adult liver weighs around 1,400 grams.
  2. At birth, a baby's liver is half the size of an adult. It becomes about four times more large by the age of three than an infant's liver.
  3. The liver is located on the left side, just below your rib cage.
  4. There are 16 main lobes in the liver, but many smaller lobules are inside the lobes.
  5. About 10 million red blood cells are found in the liver.

What is the most secretive location in the entire world?

The answer to that question may shock you. It may even make it uncomfortable, as it challenges our perceptions of reality and our lives. However, there's a reason for this place to exist. It's not what we would expect.

It was known as the City of God to the ancient Greeks. It was also known as the City of Destruction according to the Bible.

In India, it's called Kashi (Kashmir). It is also called Novgorod in Russia.

It is known as The Town That Disappeared in America.

A small town in western New York State, with a population of 1,200, vanished without a trace. A road sign pointing to the former location of the town was all that was left, except for a few bodies and cars.

This tiny town vanished without any trace. Some believe it was swallowed by the earth. Others claim that a meteorite hit destroyed it. Others claim it was taken away by aliens.

The people of this once-thriving community, however, are positive that the town won't disappear forever. They had just moved to another town.

Even a website exists to help track down the disappearances of the lost city Zugspitz.

So, where exactly did this town go? Well, it's in Switzerland!

Zugspitze is located on the border between Germany and Austria. Just beyond the summit of the mountain is a huge lake called Lake Zugspitze.

It has always fascinated and astonished me to see how many towns have vanished but still exist. What is the difference between some towns that disappear and others that survive? I decided to investigate.

I wanted to know more about the mysterious disappearing towns. Is it possible for a place to vanish? How can one place become extinct?

It turns out that there are several theories about the phenomenon of vanishing towns. One theory holds that a town disappears if all its buildings are demolished. Another theory is that the town moves to another place. Another theory suggests that the town has never existed.

The fact is that hundreds of towns all over the world have been swept away by the ground, despite theories to the contrary. This video looks into the history of those places and investigates their current status.

Ever wonder how much trash gets produced each day around the world?

The United Nations estimates that the average person generates more than 2.5 pounds of waste each day. This adds up to over 25 million pounds of garbage annually!

Many of this trash ends in landfill dumps, or incinerators. But what happens if those dumpsters are full? Where does all that rubbish go?Well, most of it gets shipped out of the country. It then gets dumped in foreign countries, polluting their ecosystems. However, now we know where all that trash goes. Mike Sexton is his name. He runs Waste Watchers, a company that monitors the movements of trucks carrying trash all across North America. He then reports back to us on what happens next.

Sexton says he finds his job very satisfying. "We've got a lot of fun," he told CNN. "We'll be following these big rigs through town. "Sexton started following truck driver almost 20 years back.

He stated that he fell in love with the product.

Sexton's favorite story was about a driver who stopped at an abandoned gas station in Los Angeles. Sexton recalls, "The guy was searching for somewhere to put his loads." "He drove down the street and saw this building. He backed up and entered the building. "There were two huge roll-off containers there filled with stuff. The man took all the stuff out and filled up his truck with more. "The man looked around the area and decided to unload all of it. There were a bunch of old tires, rags, furniture, mattresses, boxes, bottles, cans, and whatever else. "It was just an absolute mess. It had been cleaned up before he arrived. There wasn’t trash everywhere."

This begs the question: Why? It's because this area used to be a recycle center. People would drive from all over the country to recycle their trash. "They'd bring their household items and take them to this building," Sexton explained. And after they finished, they would leave the empty containers behind.

It can happen hundreds of thousands of times per week. The truck can be stopped running if it is so full of junk that it has to come back hundreds of times per week. The truck eventually stops running and the owner decides that it is time to get rid of the vehicle.

But, this isn't the only problem that our planet is facing.

Many of these tiny plastic pieces end up in landfills and incinerators. Others get washed into rivers or oceans. And when they reach the ocean, they often end up in the stomachs of fish.

Experts warn us that we may soon face an international food shortage if things don't change. Experts warn that "if we keep going the way we are, we're not going make it," although scientists agree that the world is heading toward disaster. Most people, however, don't seem to be concerned.

What is one of the most amazing facts about the human body

Two eyes, two ears and two nostrils are part of our bodies. We also have four limbs: a mouth, nose, penis, and four limbs. That's right, we have more than 50 parts of our bodies, but one thing is missing. A heart.

A heart is a pump, which circulates blood throughout our bodies. The blood flows through the veins and arteries to carry oxygen and nutrients to the cells.

The heart pumps out about 5 liters per minute. This is equivalent to a person drinking 2-3 cups coffee daily.

Blood flows throughout the heart 24 hours per day, 365 Days a Year. Your heart beats nearly 100 times a minute while sleeping.

Skin color can be used to determine if someone has a medical condition. Looking closely at the skin's surface, you can see tiny blood vessels called capillaries. These vessels carry blood back to the heart from the large blood vessels beneath the skin. If blood flow is blocked, skin can turn blue or purple.

Red blood cells are missing in people with sickle-cell disease. Patients with sickle cell disease have their blood become sticky and harden, leading to severe illness.

A bandage can be used to stop bleeding if you have cut your own skin. Blood must continue to flow to allow the wounds to heal properly. To do this, doctors will insert a needle through your skin into the vein adjacent to the injury. This allows the blood from the injured area to drain.

A doctor can also insert tubes (catheters), into an artery in the vicinity of where blood clots form. This keeps patients alive until the clot has broken up naturally.
