When diving into the ocean, you are exposed to an entirely different world compared to the one you are used to. Some places under the sea are so terrifying, dangerous, and frightening, that even just a glance can make you feel dreadful. There are also many different types of creatures that live in the ocean.
Giant squid
Giant snails are massive animals with tentacles and eyes that measure two feet in width. Scientists have not seen giant squids eat, but they may be eating fish or other squids deep in the ocean.
Octopuses
Although we cannot actually see the octopuses swimming in the ocean, they can be seen through their webs. These webs are made of pigmented and chromatophores. Scientists do not know the exact function of these chromatophores, but they could have been passed on from their ancestors. The eyes, optic nerve, digestive tract, and stomach are the only visible parts in the octopus.
Octopuses eat dead bodies
Octopuses, besides their slimy bodies and ability to imitate other ocean animals, are also well-known. They've been observed to imitate sea snakes and flatfish to avoid predators. These creatures aren't dangerous to humans, but they are still at risk from habitat loss, overfishing, and climate change.

FAQ
What is the most mysterious location on Earth?
Antarctica is the most mysterious continent on Earth.
Why do we find this place so intriguing? It is unlike any other place on Earth.
It is difficult to access because it is remote and extremely isolated. It is not what you see.
You'll also find the strangest species of wildlife in this natural wonder.
Let's see how this incredible destination became famous for its mystery.
Antarctica: The South Pole
No one knows exactly why Antarctica was named Antarctica. Some believe it means "land of ice." Others believe it derives from Greek mythology.
Antarktis is the name Antarktis was given to an island in ancient Greece by Zeus' twin brothers. According to legend, one twin was born in winter. Hence, the word antarctic.
Others believe that the name is a combination of the Greek words anti and tropos which mean against and turn. This would be land turned away form the sun.
Whatever the reason Antarctica has always been a fascination for people.
It is also the lowest, windiest continent, driest, and highest. It is too cold to support trees, plants, and animals.
Yet, life is abundant in this frozen wilderness.
It is home to approximately 90 percent of all life on Earth. Here are approximately 50% of all the animal and plant species in the world.
What is it that makes Antarctica so unique? Here, water freezes into ice instead of evaporating into the air.
This creates large masses of ice that float above the ground.
These floating glaciers cover over 80%. And they're growing larger every year.
The Antarctic ice sheet has grown 60ft since 1960.
The sea level will rise up to 200 feet if melting continues. This could lead to massive flooding across the globe.
However, not all scientists believe this to be bad news. Some scientists think global warming might be beneficial. According to scientists, global warming could be good for us because the melting of the ice sheets will accelerate, which can lead to floods that release toxic chemicals into our soil and bodies.
However, others caution that this theory sounds a lot like a plot in a science fiction movie.
Do you wonder how much trash is produced each day across the globe?
The United Nations estimates that the average person generates more than 2.5 pounds of waste each day. This adds up to over 25 million pounds of garbage annually!
The majority of this garbage ends up in incinerators or landfills. But what happens when the dumpsters become full? It goes to the United States, where most of it is exported. It is then shipped out and dumped in other countries. This pollutes the ecosystems. But now we know, thanks to one man. Mike Sexton is his name. He is the founder of Waste Watchers. He watches over trucks that transport trash across North America. He reports back to us about the next steps.
Sexton states that he finds his work very fulfilling. CNN's Sexton said, "We have a lot to enjoy." "We often see large rigs passing through our town and we will follow them. "Sexton began following truckers almost 20 year ago.
"I just fell in love with it," he said.
His favorite story involved a driver who pulled off at an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. Sexton said that the man was searching for a place to store his stuff. "He drove along the road and saw this structure. So he backed up and went inside. "There were two enormous roll-off containers filled with stuff. The man took all the stuff out and filled up his truck with more. "Then, he took everything out and started filling up the truck again. There were a bunch of old tires, rags, furniture, mattresses, boxes, bottles, cans, and whatever else. It was a complete mess. But it had been cleared out before he arrived. There was no trash."
Why did this happen? It is because the location used to belong to a recycling centre. People who found out about this facility would drive to it to recycle their trash. Sexton explained, "They would bring their household goods and take them here," and they would then empty the containers.
Now, because of the way the law works, once a container reaches its destination, it cannot be opened. So no matter how often someone takes something out of it, the thing will never be emptied.Every time the truck comes by, it has to start over again. It could happen hundreds of thousands of times a week. The truck eventually stops running because it has become so jammed with junk. The owner eventually abandons the vehicle.
But, this isn't the only problem that our planet is facing.
Most of these particles are made up of tiny pieces of plastic. Some of these plastics end up in landfills or incinerators. Others end up in rivers, oceans or the stomachss of fish.
Experts warn that if there is no change, the world could soon be facing a food shortage. Experts warn that if we continue to go the same way, we won't make it. However, scientists and most people aren't worried.
What is the most fascinating fact about the human body
Two eyes, two ears and two nostrils are part of our bodies. We also have four limbs: a mouth, nose, penis, and four limbs. It's true, we have more 50 parts of our body, but there is one thing missing. A heart.
A heart is a pump that circulates blood throughout the body. The blood moves through the veins. It transports oxygen and nutrients to your cells. It also removes carbon dioxide.
The heart pumps about 5 liters blood per minute. This is equivalent in daily coffee consumption to an adult who consumes approximately 2 to 3 cups.
Blood flows throughout the heart 24 hours per day, 365 Days a Year. Your heart beats nearly 100 times a minute while sleeping.
The color of someone's skin can tell if they are healthy or not. The capillaries are tiny blood vessels that can be seen on the skin's surface. These small vessels carry blood away from the large blood vessels in the skin back to the heart. When blood flow is blocked, the skin turns blue or purple.
People with sickle cells lack red blood cell. Their blood becomes sticky and hardens, causing them to become very ill.
Bandages are used to stop bleeding after you have cut yourself. Blood must flow in order for the wound to heal properly. To do this, doctors will insert a needle through your skin into the vein adjacent to the injury. This allows blood flow to the area that has been injured.
Doctors can also insert catheters into the artery close to the area where the bloodclot has formed. This helps to keep the patient alive until the blood clot disintegrates naturally.
What is the most secretive town in the world?
This question might surprise you. It could even make you uncomfortable, because it challenges how reality is perceived and lived. However, there's a reason for this place to exist. It's not what we would expect.
It was known as the City of God to the ancient Greeks. It was called the City of Destruction by the Bible.
It's known in India as Kashi (Kashmir). In Russia, it's called Novgorod.
Here in America, however, it is called The Village That Disappeared.
One small community in western New York State with 1,200 residents vanished without a trace. A road sign pointing to the former location of the town was all that was left, except for a few bodies and cars.
This little community vanished and no trace remains to indicate where or when it disappeared. Some say the earth swallowed it up. Others believe it was destroyed by a meteorite. Others claim it was taken away by aliens.
The residents of this once prosperous community believe that whatever happened, their town is not gone forever. They just moved to another city.
Even a website exists to help track down the disappearances of the lost city Zugspitz.
So, where exactly did this town go? It's actually in Switzerland!
Zugspitze is located on the border between Germany and Austria. Just beyond the summit of the mountain is a huge lake called Lake Zugspitze.
I have always been fascinated by the fact that so many towns have vanished, but some remain. What is the difference between some towns that disappear and others that survive? I decided to investigate.
I wanted more information about the mysterious disappearing of towns. What causes a community to disappear? How can a town disappear from existence?
There are several theories behind the disappearing of towns. One theory holds that a town disappears if all its buildings are demolished. Another theory holds that the town simply relocates to another location. A third theory holds that the town did not exist.
There are many theories, but the truth is that thousands of towns around the world have been submerged by the earth. This video examines the past and present status of these areas.

How To
Hollywood scandals that shocked the globe
There's nothing more shocking than watching someone become famous for the wrong reasons. But, it's equally shocking to watch them fall from the graces.
It is amazing to see how an industry handles its mistakes. We've all heard about celebrities who took too much alcohol and drugs. Some even died young because of it.
The worst thing is when these stars are made public about their problems and shunned. This is where we ended up last week.
After a long and successful career, Heath Ledger finally succumbed to his demons. He succumbed after taking too many prescription medications. After a brief struggle with death, he died.
His family and friends were unable to accept his death, and the media was quick to criticize him.
Heath was once considered to be one of today's most talented actors. His performance in Brokeback Mountain earned him two Academy Awards nominations.
Heath, in addition to acting, also wrote and directed films such as A Knight's Tale (Monster's Ball) and Iron Man (3).
Hollywood loved Heath, but he became too big for his britches. He started taking drugs and drinking heavily. He eventually went to rehab and was clean.
He wanted to make amends now that he was sober. He produced a documentary called Room 237 that documented the making process of The Shining. It was supposed to be released this year, but now it won't hit theaters until next year.
Heath tried many times to get back into Hollywood. Nothing worked. He was actually arrested twice for drug charges.
We are not suggesting that Heath should be allowed back into the show business. It would have been nice for him to have received some assistance before things spiraled outof control.
We hope Heath’s tale will be a wakeup call to anyone who may believe that they can still have all.
