FAQ
What is the most intriguing fact about the human anatomy?
We have two eyes, two ears, two nostrils, four limbs, a mouth, a nose, and a penis. That's right, we have more than 50 parts of our bodies, but one thing is missing. A heart.
A heart is a pump, which circulates blood throughout our bodies. Blood travels through the arteries and veins, carrying oxygen and nutrients to the cells and removing carbon dioxide and waste products.
The heart pumps out approximately 5 liters of blood per minute. This is equivalent to an adult consuming 2-3 cups of coffee per day.
Blood flows throughout the heart 24 hours per day, 365 Days a Year. While you are sleeping, your heart beats about 100 times per second.
The color of someone's skin can tell if they are healthy or not. Looking closely at the skin's surface, you can see tiny blood vessels called capillaries. These vessels carry blood back to the heart from the large blood vessels beneath the skin. The skin turns purple or blue when there is a blockage in blood flow.
Red blood cells are missing in people with sickle-cell disease. They become very sick when their blood becomes hardened and sticky.
If you cut yourself, a bandage is applied to stop the bleeding. For the wound to heal properly, blood must continue to flow. Doctors insert a needle into the injured area through the skin. This allows the blood to drain from the injured area.
Doctors also insert tubes (catheters) into the artery near the site where the blood clot forms. This keeps the patient alive till the blood clot dissolves naturally.

Which is the most secretive city in the world?
This question might surprise you. This may make you feel uncomfortable as it challenges your perception of reality and the way we live. But there is a reason why this place exists. And it is not what you would expect.
It was also called the City of God in ancient Greek. According to the Bible, it was called the City of Destruction.
In India, it's called Kashi (Kashmir). It's also known as Novgorod in Russia.
However, in America it is called The Town that Disappeared.
One small New York State town with just 1,200 people vanished. There were no bodies, cars or houses left behind, but a road sign that pointed to the former location was all that was left.
This tiny community disappeared without leaving any clues as to where it went or when. Some believe it was swallowed by the earth. Others say it was destroyed in a meteorite collision. Others believe that aliens took it.
The people of this once-thriving community, however, are positive that the town won't disappear forever. They had just moved from one town to the other.
There is even a website dedicated to tracking the disappearance of the lost city of Zugspitz.
So, where exactly did this town go? It's actually in Switzerland!
The border of Austria and Germany is at Zugspitze. The lake Lake Zugspitze is just beyond the mountain's summit.
It has always fascinated my that so many towns have disappeared but others still exist. What is the difference between some towns that disappear and others that survive? I set out to find out.
I was curious about the disappearing towns. What is the secret to a town's disappearance? How can one place become extinct?
There are several theories behind the disappearing of towns. One theory states that a town vanishes when all its buildings are destroyed. Another theory holds that the town simply relocates to another location. The third theory is that the town was never actually there.
Although theories may be a bit speculative, it is a fact that numerous towns have been destroyed by the elements. This video examines both the history and current status.
Do you wonder how much trash is produced each day across the globe?
According to the United Nations, the average person produces over 2.5 pounds of daily waste. That adds up to over 25 billion pounds of garbage per year!
Most of this rubbish ends up in landfills or incinerators. But, what happens when those dumpsters fill up? The majority of this rubbish is sent out of the country. It then gets dumped in foreign countries, polluting their ecosystems. However, now we know where all that trash goes. Mike Sexton is his name. He owns a company called Waste Watchers. He spends his time watching trucks hauling trash around North America. He then reports back to us on what happens next.
Sexton states that he finds his work very fulfilling. CNN interviewed Sexton and said that he has a lot of fun. "We see big rigs coming through town and we'll follow them. "Sexton began following truck drivers almost 20 years ago.
He stated, "I just fell in Love with It."
Sexton loved the story about the driver who pulled over at an abandoned gas station close to Los Angeles. Sexton described, "The guy was looking somewhere to put his load." "He drove down the street and saw this building. So he backed up and went inside. "There were 2 large containers that had been rolled off, and they were full of stuff. The man removed everything from the truck and started to load it again. "Then he took out everything and began to fill up the truck. There were tires, rags. furniture, mattresses. boxes, bottles, cans. "It was just total chaos. It had been cleaned up before he arrived. There wasn’t trash everywhere."
Why did this happen? This particular spot used to be a recycling center. People would drive there to recycle their trash. Sexton explained that people would bring home their household items, and then take them to the building. After they were done, they would dispose of the empty containers.
This can happen hundreds of times a week. It can happen hundreds of time per week. Eventually, the truck is so full of junk it stops running. And eventually, the owner decides to abandon the vehicle.
Trash isn’t the only problem we face on the planet.
The majority of these particles are made of small pieces of plastic. Others get washed into rivers or oceans. And when they reach the ocean, they often end up in the stomachs of fish.
Experts say if nothing changes, we could soon face a global food shortage. Experts warn, "If you keep going like you're going," we could soon face a global food shortage. But most people don't seem to be worried, even though scientists are unanimous in warning us that the world is heading towards disaster.
