FAQ

What is the most mysterious location on Earth?

Antarctica is the most mysterious continent on Earth.

We find this place so fascinating. It is unlike any other place on Earth.

It is remote, isolated, and extremely difficult to visit. However, there's more to this location than meets the eye.

You will also find some of the oddest wildlife species in this natural wonder.

Let's find out how this mysterious destination became so famous.

Antarctica: The South Pole

Antarctica is named for no one. Others believe it means "land with ice". Others think it comes from Greek mythology.

In ancient Greece, Antarktis was the name given to the island where Zeus' twin brothers were born. According to legend, one of the twins was born in winter. Therefore, the name antarctic.

Others believe that it is the Greek word anti, which means against, and tropos, which refers to turning. This would translate to land that is turned away from the sun.

Whatever the reason, Antarctica has always held a special fascination for people.

It is the coldest, windiest, driest and highest continent. There are no trees, plants, or animals here because it is too cold.

Yet, this frozen wasteland is alive.

About 90 percent of all living things on Earth live here. It is home to approximately half of all world's animal and plant species.

What is Antarctica? Here, water freezes in ice rather that vaporizing into the atmosphere.

This causes large ice masses to rise above the ground.

These floating glaciers cover over 80%. They continue to grow in size each year.

So far, the Antarctic ice sheet has grown 60 feet since 1960.

The sea level will rise up to 200 feet if melting continues. It could result in massive flooding all over the world.

This does not mean that everyone is wrong. Global warming may be beneficial for some scientists. They suggest that rising temperatures could cause ice sheet melt faster, leading to floods that flush out toxic chemicals from soil and bodies.

Others warn that this theory sounds like something out of a science-fiction movie.

These are five interesting facts about livers

The liver is responsible in breaking down toxins, storing vitamins and mineral, and for regulating blood pressure. It regulates blood pressure and maintains a stable body temperature.

How often do we hear someone say, 'I feel sluggish today' or 'my head feels heavy'? These symptoms could indicate liver problems.

Other symptoms include itching, yellowing of the skin, heavy urine, yellowing of the skin, fatigue and nausea. These are not all the warning signs. These are not the only warning signs. Make an appointment immediately with your doctor if they occur.

The liver plays a crucial role in our lives. It is an important organ that plays a vital role in detoxification.

  1. The average adult liver weighs 1,400g.
  2. At birth, the liver of a baby can be half as big as an adult's. It can grow to four times the size of an infant's liver by the age 3.
  3. The liver can be found just below the rib cage, on the left side.
  4. There are 16 major liver lobes. However there are many smaller, more intimate lobules.
  5. About 10 million red blood cells are found in the liver.

Have you ever wondered how much trash is produced worldwide each day?

The United Nations estimates that the average person generates more than 2.5 pounds of waste each day. This adds up to over 25 million pounds of garbage annually!

Most of the trash ends up at incinerators and landfills. But, what happens to those dumpsters? It goes to the United States, where most of it is exported. It then gets dumped in foreign countries, polluting their ecosystems. However, now we know where all that trash goes. Mike Sexton is his full name. He is the owner of Waste Watchers. His job involves monitoring the movements and routes of trash trucks across North America. He reports back to us about the next steps.

Sexton says he finds his job very satisfying. "We've got a lot of fun," he told CNN. "We see these big trucks coming through town, so we'll keep following them. "Sexton started following truck drivers nearly 20 years ago.

He stated that he fell in love with the product.

He loved the story of the driver who pulled into an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. Sexton said that the man was searching for a place to store his stuff. "He drove along the road and saw this structure. He backed up and entered the building. "There were two huge roll-off containers there filled with stuff. The man took all the stuff out and filled up his truck with more. "Then he looked at the place and decided to unload everything. There were a bunch of old tires, rags, furniture, mattresses, boxes, bottles, cans, and whatever else. "It was just a total mess. But it had been cleared out before he arrived. There wasn't any trash anywhere."

So why did this happen? This particular spot used to be a recycling center. People would drive there to recycle their trash. Sexton explained, "They would bring their household goods and take them here," and they would then empty the containers.

Now, because of the way the law works, once a container reaches its destination, it cannot be opened. So no matter how often someone takes something out of it, the thing will never be emptied.Every time the truck comes by, it has to start over again. This could happen hundreds times per week. Finally, the truck stops running completely due to its excessive junk. And eventually, the owner decides to abandon the vehicle.

Trash isn’t the only problem we face on the planet.

The majority of these particles are made of small pieces of plastic. Others get washed into rivers or oceans. And when they reach the ocean, they often end up in the stomachs of fish.

Experts say if nothing changes, we could soon face a global food shortage. One expert said, "If we keep going as we are going, we're never going to make it," but most people don’t seem concerned.

Why are actors blacklisted?

If you are an actor, you will get more rejection than if you are a writer. You will likely be rejected many times if you are an actor. However, it doesn't really matter as you will eventually meet someone who is truly your love.

Actors are often very talented and can make a living anywhere. Actors aren't always interested in making a living. Actors love acting and storytelling. So if you're an actor, chances are you're going to put yourself out there.

You might even go to auditions where you're told that you're too old, too young, or not right for the role. You might also lose your audition for a film role. It happens all the time.

Once you've been cast you might also be subject to criticism. You may be told that your makeup is too heavy or you are not worthy of wearing it. If you're lucky, you won't even hear negative comments.

Sometimes, you might be criticised for playing a role that isn’t authentic or realistic. Maybe you play a gay man, and everyone thinks you're straight. Perhaps you play a woman that is supposed to be strong but who cries a lot.

Maybe you are asked to change your vocal chords. Sometimes they ask for you to sound like a male or female. They usually want you sound better.

It is best to ignore these criticisms. Actors often feel like they've failed if they're told they did something wrong. However, they aren't doing anything wrong.

They weren't born with the talents that made them famous. They don't always fit the bill, no matter how hard they try.

There are many reasons an actor might be blacklisted. Some people don't like actors. Others think that actors are lazy. Some actors may be cheaters.

Whatever your reason, it doesn't matter. You won't get blacklisted for trying. There are plenty of jobs available and you'll find them.

As long as you keep trying, you'll eventually succeed.
