Why do actors get blacklisted?
When you're an actor, there's more rejection than when you're a writer. An actor will probably be rejected quite often. But it doesn't matter because eventually, you'll find someone who loves you.
Actors can often make a living from acting because they are very talented. However, most actors aren't interested in making money. Actors enjoy acting and telling stories. You'll be an actor if you love acting.
It is possible to be told that you are not suitable for the role, or that you are too old or too young. Or, you could lose out on a role in a movie. It happens all too often.
You may be criticised once your casting is complete. Many people will tell you you look horrible or that you shouldn't be wearing make-up. If you're lucky, you won't even hear negative comments.
Sometimes, your performance as a fictional character can be ridiculed. You might play a gay man and everyone assumes that you are straight. You could also play a woman with a tendency to cry a lot, even though she's supposed to be tough.
Maybe you are asked to change your vocal chords. Sometimes, they want you to sound more like a man or a woman. Most of the time, however, they want to hear better.
To ignore criticisms is the best way to respond. Actors often feel like they've failed if they're told they did something wrong. However, they aren't doing anything wrong.
They weren't born with a talent that made them famous. They may not fit the bill sometimes, no mater how hard they try.
There are lots of reasons why an actor could get blacklisted. Some people don't like actors. Others feel that actors are lazy. Others still believe that actors cheat.
No matter the reason, it is important to remember that you will not be blacklisted if there are other jobs available. There are plenty of jobs available and you'll find them.
Keep trying and you will eventually succeed.

Each minute, the heart pumps 5 liters of blood. This is equivalent of an adult drinking 2 to 3 cups of coffee each day.
The heart is constantly pumping blood, 24 hours a week, 365 day a year. While you are sleeping, your heart beats about 100 times per second.
Skin color can be used to determine if someone has a medical condition. If you examine the skin closely, you will see tiny blood vessels called capillaries. These small vessels carry blood away from the large blood vessels in the skin back to the heart. When blood flow is blocked, the skin turns blue or purple.
Red blood cells are not available to sickle cell patients. Their blood becomes extremely sticky and hardened, which can lead to very serious illnesses.
Bandages are used to stop bleeding after you have cut yourself. The wound must remain open for blood to flow properly. Doctors insert a needle into the injured area through the skin. This allows the blood from the injured area to drain.
Doctors also insert tubes (catheters) into the artery near the site where the blood clot forms. This helps to keep the patient alive until the blood clot disintegrates naturally.
Is there an Hollywood blacklist?

The list isn’t available for public viewing. The names are not known to us. This is why it matters.
The reason behind the secrecy was that blacklisted directors and actors wouldn't be able find work. So they'd go out of business, which means that the studios would lose money. That would result in a reduction in spending on movies. The blacklisted filmmakers would have fewer chances. Which would lead them to go bankrupt.
This could eventually lead to more victims.
If someone attempts to make an Oscar-winning movie, they may be asked to sign a contract stating that they will not speak out against their employers. Any director or producer who would like to be nominated for an award is subject to the same rules.
That's why you hear stories about how producers pressure directors to remove scenes from their films. Directors may threaten to quit projects that don’t align with their vision.
This is why Hollywood has created a blacklist. You'll likely become unemployed if you say bad things about your employer. It's not good for anyone.
There are many people who have been falsely accused. They've had the toil to clear their name.
We must stop this from happening again. Everyone should have the right to speak freely.
