scary sleep facts

There are many facts to know about the White House. The White House is constructed of gray-colored, Virginia-sourced sandstone. It was rebuilt after a fire in the War of 1812 and is considered a national heritage site. It's also believed to be haunted.

It was rebuilt in 1812 after it was damaged by a fire.

The White House was burned by British troops on August 24, 1814. This was done in retaliation for an American attack against York that had occurred in June 1813. The Capitol Building was also torched by the British army. It left Washington's capital defenseless. FAQ

What is the most secretive town in the world?

The answer to that question may shock you. It may even make it uncomfortable, as it challenges our perceptions of reality and our lives. But there is a reason that this place exists. It isn't what you would expect.

It was known as the City of God to the ancient Greeks. It was also known as the City of Destruction according to the Bible.

In India, it's called Kashi (Kashmir). It is also called Novgorod in Russia.

But here in America, it goes by another name - The Town That Disappeared.

A small community of 1200 people in western New York State vanished. It was abandoned without any remains, including no bodies, cars, or houses. The only thing that survived was a road sign, which pointed to its former location.

This little town disappeared, leaving no clues about where it went or when. Some believe it was swallowed by the earth. Others claim a meteorite strike destroyed it. Others believe that aliens took it.

Regardless of what happened, residents of this once-thriving town are certain that their town won't be forgotten forever. They had just moved to a new town.

You can even track the disappearance of Zugspitz on a dedicated website.

The question is, where did this place go? It's actually in Switzerland!

Zugspitze is situated on the border between Germany und Austria. The lake Lake Zugspitze is just beyond the mountain's summit.

It's always fascinated me how so many towns disappear, yet others remain. What is the difference between some towns that disappear and others that survive? I decided to investigate.

I was interested in learning more about these mysterious towns that are disappearing. What is the secret to a town's disappearance? How can one place become extinct?

There are many theories regarding the phenomenon of towns disappearing. One theory is that a city disappears after all buildings have been demolished. Another theory states that the town simply moves to another location. The third theory is that the town was never actually there.

Theories aside, the fact remains that dozens of towns around the globe have been swallowed up by the ground. This video examines the past and present status of these areas.

Is there a Hollywood blacklist?

There is a Hollywood blacklist.

However, the list isn’t public. As far as we know, the names aren't even known. It matters because of this.

The secret reason is that directors and actors who are on the blacklist would not be able to find employment. They would go out of business which would mean that studios would lose their money. That would result in a reduction in spending on movies. Which would mean fewer opportunities for the blacklisted filmmakers. This could lead to them going bankrupt.

Which could ultimately result in more victims.

When someone tries making an Oscar winning movie they might be asked for a contract. This means that they can't publicly criticize their employer. Any director or producer who would like to be nominated for an award is subject to the same rules.

This is why you'll hear about directors being pressured by producers to take scenes out of their films. Or how directors threaten to walk away from projects that don't fit their vision.

This is why Hollywood has created a blacklist. If you make negative comments about your employer, it's likely that you will be unemployed. It's not good for anyone.

It is not uncommon for people to be falsely accused. It's been a struggle to get their names cleared.

This kind of thing must stop before it can happen again. It is essential that everyone has the freedom to express their opinions.

Also, we must take down the Hollywood blacklist.

What is the most mysterious area on earth?

Antarctica is the most mysterious continent on Earth.

Why do we find this place so intriguing? It is unlike any other place on Earth.

It is remote and difficult to reach. But there is more to this site than meets the eye.

These wild animals are also found in this natural wonder.

So let's explore how this remarkable destination became famous for its mystery.

Antarctica, The South Pole

No one knows exactly why Antarctica was named Antarctica. Others believe it means "land with ice". Others think it comes from Greek mythology.

In ancient Greece, Antarktis was the name given to the island where Zeus' twin brothers were born. According to some legends, one of these twins was born in winter. Thus, the term antarctic.

Others think the name came from the Greek words anti, meaning against, and tropos meaning turn. This would signify land turned away the sun.

Whatever the reason, Antarctica has always held a special fascination for people.

It is the coldest, windiest, driest and highest continent. Because it is so cold, there aren't any trees, plants or animals.

Yet, this frozen wasteland is alive.

Here are about 90% of all the living creatures on Earth. There are about 50% of the world's animal, plant and plant species.

And what makes Antarctica such a unique environment? Here, water freezes in ice rather that vaporizing into the atmosphere.

This causes large masses to form of ice which float high above the ground.

These floating glaciers make up 80%. They're getting bigger every year.

The Antarctic ice sheet has grown 60ft since 1960.

If the melting continues, sea level could rise up to 200ft. This could lead to massive flooding across the globe.

But not everyone thinks this is bad news. Some scientists believe that global warming can be beneficial. They say that as temperatures rise, the ice sheets might melt faster, causing floods that flush out tons of toxic chemicals from our soil and bodies.

However, others caution that this theory sounds a lot like a plot in a science fiction movie.

Have you ever wondered what amount of trash is generated each day worldwide?

According to the United Nations the average person creates more than 2.5 lbs of waste daily. That adds up over 25 billion kilos of garbage every year.

The majority of this garbage ends up in incinerators or landfills. But what happens when the dumpsters become full? Where does all that rubbish go?Well, most of it gets shipped out of the country. It then gets dumped in foreign countries, polluting their ecosystems. However, now we know where all that trash goes. Mike Sexton is his real name. He is the owner of Waste Watchers. His job involves monitoring the movements and routes of trash trucks across North America. He then reports back to us on what happens next.

Sexton states that he finds his work very fulfilling. CNN interviewed Sexton and said that he has a lot of fun. "We see big rigs coming through town and we'll follow them. "Sexton began following truckers almost 20 year ago.

"It's all I felt," he stated.

Sexton's favorite story was about a driver who stopped at an abandoned gas station in Los Angeles. Sexton remembered, "The man was looking for somewhere to put the load." "He saw the building as he drove down the road. He stopped and pulled up, then he went inside. "There were 2 large containers that had been rolled off, and they were full of stuff. The guy took everything out and started filling up the truck again. "Then he took out everything and began to fill up the truck. There were old tires and rags, furniture pieces, mattresses, mattresses and boxes. "It was just total chaos. But it had been cleaned before he arrived. There was no trash."

Why did this happen? The answer is that this location was once part of a recycling facility. People who knew about it would drive to this location to recycle their garbage. Sexton explained that people would bring home their household items, and then take them to the building. After they were done, they would dispose of the empty containers.

It can happen hundreds of thousands of times per week. The truck can be stopped running if it is so full of junk that it has to come back hundreds of times per week. The owner finally decides to stop using the truck.

Trash, however, isn't the only problem facing our planet. As you may have noticed, things are getting worse.According to experts, pollution levels have risen dramatically in recent years.More than half of all water bodies on Earth are polluted.Pollution from industrial chemicals has increased by more than 30 percent since 1980.Even the air we breathe is becoming increasingly toxic.A study by the World Health Organization found that the average person inhales around 100 million particles daily.

The majority of these particles are made of small pieces of plastic. Others get washed into rivers or oceans. And when they reach the ocean, they often end up in the stomachs of fish.

Experts say if nothing changes, we could soon face a global food shortage. Experts warn that "if we keep going the way we are, we're not going make it," although scientists agree that the world is heading toward disaster. Most people, however, don't seem to be concerned.
