National Treasure Book of Secrets (DVD Review)

scary facts

National Treasure Book of Secrets is an action film that is well worth the wait, despite its flaws. It is entertaining in the Nic Cage-grabbing-a-quick-buck kind of way, and children will likely forgive the film's faults.

After a fifteen-year hiatus, National Treasure is back in theaters with a sequel. A sequel to the original 2004 film, Book of Secrets features Nicolas Cage as Benjamin Franklin Gates, a treasure hunter. His family is guarded a secret that has been hidden for centuries. It is believed the Founding Fathers concealed the secret. Ben's father, and mother, aren’t convinced. They want to prove his great-great-grandfather, Thomas Gates, was not a conspirator in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Ben's plan of clearing his family's name could backfire.

The story centers around Freemasonry and the links between ancient secret societies, American history, and Freemasonry. Gates's great-great-grandfather is suspected of being a conspirator in the assassination, but he has no proof. Ben seeks out Mitch Wilkinson, Ed Harris, as a researcher to find the proof. Wilkinson, however, has reasons to suspect Gates.

Book of Secrets' plot is complex. There are many clues. Some are hidden in treasured artifacts. Some are kept secret in secret societies. This story is complex and requires viewers to suspend disbelief. Some scenarios are quite farfetched.

terrifying facts

Book of Secrets also has a lot of hijinks. One Black man takes on a small part. The film is mainly made up of white men. The film has not one Native American actor.

FAQ

What is the most fascinating fact about the human body

Two eyes, two ears and two nostrils are part of our bodies. We also have four limbs: a mouth, nose, penis, and four limbs. We have over 50 parts of our bodies. However, one thing is missing. A heart.

The heart is a pump which circulates blood throughout the body. Blood travels through the arteries and veins, carrying oxygen and nutrients to the cells and removing carbon dioxide and waste products.

Each minute, the heart pumps approximately 5 liters. This is equivalent to a person drinking 2-3 cups coffee daily.

The blood flows throughout the heart 24/7, 365 days a calendar. Your heart beats nearly 100 times a minute while sleeping.

Because of the color and texture of their skin, you can tell if someone is healthy or sick. If you examine the skin closely, you will see tiny blood vessels called capillaries. These vessels carry blood away to the heart via the large blood vessels. If blood flow is blocked, skin can turn blue or purple.

People with sickle cells lack red blood cell. Their blood becomes extremely sticky and hardened, which can lead to very serious illnesses.

Bandages are used to stop bleeding after you have cut yourself. The wound must remain open for blood to flow properly. To do this, doctors insert a needle through the skin into the vein next to the injury. This allows the blood to drain from the injured area.

Doctors can also insert catheters into the artery close to the area where the bloodclot has formed. This keeps the patient alive until the clot breaks up naturally.

What is the most secretive town in the world?

The answer to that question may shock you. It might even make you uncomfortable because it challenges our perception of reality and how we live. But there is a reason that this place exists. It isn't what you would expect.

It was known as the City of God to the ancient Greeks. In the Bible, it was known as the City of Destruction.

It's known in India as Kashi (Kashmir). In Russia, it's called Novgorod.

Here in America, however, it is called The Village That Disappeared.

A small town in western New York State, with a population of 1,200, vanished without a trace. No bodies, cars, houses, nothing was left behind except a road sign pointing to its former location.

This tiny town vanished without any trace. Some say the earth swallowed it up. Others claim a meteorite strike destroyed it. Some claim that it was destroyed by a meteorite strike. Others still believe it was stolen away by aliens.

Despite what may have happened, the people who lived in this once-thriving area are confident that their town will not be lost forever. They had just relocated to another town.

There is even a website dedicated to tracking the disappearance of the lost city of Zugspitz.

You might be wondering where this town went. Well, it's in Switzerland!

Zugspitze is situated on the border between Germany und Austria. The lake Lake Zugspitze is just beyond the mountain's summit.

It has always fascinated my that so many towns have disappeared but others still exist. Why do some disappear while others survive? I set out to find out.

I wanted to learn more about mysteriously disappearing towns. Is it possible for a place to vanish? How can one place become extinct?

It turned out that there are many theories about disappearing towns. One theory states that a town vanishes when all its buildings are destroyed. Another theory states that the town simply moves to another location. The third theory is that the town was never actually there.

No matter what theories you may have, there is no doubt that many towns across the globe were swallowed by the ground. This video examines the history and current status of these places.

How does the brain control the functions of your body?

To ensure that other organs and muscle functions work together, the brain sends messages. Everything in your body is controlled and managed by your brain. It tells your stomach how to digest food and your lungs how to inhale oxygen; it also tells your arms, legs and feet to move.

Your brain is composed of billions and billions nerve cells, connected in groups called neurons. Neurons communicate with each other by sending electrical signals called action potentials on axons. Each neuron has a cell membrane surrounding its nucleus. The membrane contains channels that allow ions like sodium and potassium to enter the cell and leave it. The electric charge that causes the neuron's fire is created by ion movement.

Neurotransmitters are chemicals released when a neuron fires. Neurotransmitters bind with receptors on the second nerve cell, opening ion channel channels to allow ions in and out. The second neuron also fires.

When a presynaptic nerve receives an impulse, neurotransmitter release takes place. The impulse travels along the synaptic pathway that connects both neurons. The transmitter binds to the receptors on the postsynaptic neural cell, which triggers the firing of that neuron.

Communication within the nervous system is possible thanks to neurotransmitters. They also coordinate activity between different brain parts.

What is the most mysterious area on earth?

Antarctica is considered the most mysterious area on Earth.

This is why we find it so captivating. Because it is unlike any place on Earth.

It is difficult to access because it is remote and extremely isolated. But there is more to this site than meets the eye.

You'll also find the strangest species of wildlife in this natural wonder.

Let's now see how this amazing destination came to be so well-known for its mystery.

Antarctica: The South Pole

Antarctica is not known by anyone. Some believe it means "land of ice." Others believe it comes from Greek mythology.

Antarktis, the Greek name for the island on which Zeus' twin brothers were conceived, was used in ancient Greece. According to one source, one of the twins was conceived in winter. Therefore, the name antarctic.

Others think the name came from the Greek words anti, meaning against, and tropos meaning turn. This would mean that the land was turned away by the sun.

Whatever the reason Antarctica holds a special fascination, people have always loved it.

It is the coldest, windiest, driest and highest continent. There are no trees, plants, or animals here because it is too cold.

Yet, this frozen wasteland is alive.

It houses approximately 90% of all Earth's living organisms. It is home to approximately half of all world's animal and plant species.

What is Antarctica? Here, water freezes and becomes ice instead of evaporated into the air.

This causes large ice masses to rise above the ground.

These glaciers are responsible for covering 80% of the continent. They are growing in size every year.

The Antarctic ice has grown 60 feet so far since 1960.

The sea level could rise to 200 feet if the melting continues. That could cause massive flooding around the globe.

But not everyone thinks this is bad news. Some scientists think global warming might be beneficial. They believe that global warming will lead to melting ice sheets faster and floods that can flush toxic chemicals out of our soils and bodies.

Others, however, warn that this theory sounds almost like a plot for a science fiction film.

How To

American history secret societies and clubs

The secret societies and clubs in American History are fascinating for many reasons. Their mystery is just one reason. Another reason is because of their effect on our society.

Secret societies have been used throughout America's history for promoting ideas that would otherwise not be accepted. These ideas include anti-Semitism and racism. These groups also helped spread political ideologies such as communism and socialism.

The Ku Klux Klan is the most prominent American organization. This group was created in 1865 after the Civil War. It was created to protect white men against African Americans.

Other organizations that were created in this period include the Knights Templar (Freemasons), and Odd Fellows. These organizations shared the same beliefs and goals.

Another interesting aspect of secret societies is that they often had memberships restricted to males only. However, some women belonged to these groups. These women included Emma Goldman (Margaret Sanger) and Susan B Anthony.

There were other secret societies that did not share these ideals, in addition to those mentioned. The Order of Skull & Bones for instance was founded in 1832. Their goal: to create an elite American class.
