FAQ
What are some dark secrets in Hollywood?
Hollywood is full of secret societies. Many secret societies are cult-like and follow rigid rules. Others are just clubs for people with common interests.
There are also other, more evil organizations that control large parts of the industry. These include companies like the MPAA ("Motion Picture Association of America"), which determines film ratings. The RIAA ("Recording Industry Association of America") sets music licensing fees.
Numerous unions/guilds also represent actors and directors as well as writers, producers, and so forth. Many of the major TV networks and movie studios are owned or controlled by large corporations.
The fact is that regardless of how secretive any group may be, someone somewhere knows exactly who they are. They shouldn't be fearful, however.
Instead, we should embrace and celebrate them. Because they provide us with information that helps us make better decisions.
They also tell us about the movies that are most likely to succeed and which songs are most popular.
They help us make decisions about what we will buy, watch, listen to, or read.
We can trust our advisors and ignore advice that isn't in accord with our tastes.
They are more powerful than ever because we chose to ignore them. They are the ultimate judges of taste.
If you don't like their words, you can choose to ignore them.
Let's now look at some lesser-known, but still very real Hollywood secret organizations.
You'll see why they are so important.
What is your most secretive community?
The answer to that question may shock you. This may make you feel uncomfortable as it challenges your perception of reality and the way we live. There is a reason this place exists and it's not as you might expect.
It was also called the City of God in ancient Greek. In the Bible, it was known as the City of Destruction.
It's also known as Kashi (Kashmir) in India. In Russia, it's called Novgorod.
However, in America it is called The Town that Disappeared.
A small town in western New York State, with a population of 1,200, vanished without a trace. A road sign pointing to the former location of the town was all that was left, except for a few bodies and cars.
The little village vanished, with no trace of its existence. Some believe the earth swallowed them up. Others claim a meteorite strike destroyed it. Still, others say aliens took it away.
Whatever happened, the residents of this once-thriving community are convinced that their town isn't gone forever. They had just relocated to another town.
There is even a website dedicated to tracking the disappearance of the lost city of Zugspitz.
You might be wondering where this town went. It's actually in Switzerland!
Zugspitze is located on the border between Germany and Austria. Lake Zugspitze lies just above the summit of the mountain.
I have always been fascinated by the fact that so many towns have vanished, but some remain. What is the difference between some towns that disappear and others that survive? I set out to find out.
I wanted more information about the mysterious disappearing of towns. What causes a community to disappear? How does one place go extinct?
There are several theories behind the disappearing of towns. One theory holds that a town disappears if all its buildings are demolished. Another theory says that the town just moves. A third theory claims that the town never existed at all.
No matter what theories you may have, there is no doubt that many towns across the globe were swallowed by the ground. This video explores the history of these towns and examines their current state.
Do you wonder how much trash is produced each day across the globe?
According to the United Nations there are more than 25 billion tons of garbage produced each year.
Most of this rubbish ends up in landfills or incinerators. But, what happens when those dumpsters fill up? It goes to the United States, where most of it is exported. It is then shipped out and dumped in other countries. This pollutes the ecosystems. But now we know, thanks to one man. Mike Sexton is his nickname. He is the owner of Waste Watchers. His job involves monitoring the movements and routes of trash trucks across North America. He then reports back about what happens next.
Sexton says he finds his job very satisfying. CNN asked Sexton if he thought it was a lot of fun. "We often see large rigs passing through our town and we will follow them. "Sexton began following truck drivers almost 20 years ago.
"It's all I felt," he stated.
His favorite story is about a driver that pulled into an abandoned gas station just outside Los Angeles. "The guy was looking for someplace to put his load," Sexton recalled. "He drove along the road and saw this structure. He backed up and entered the building. "There were two large roll-off containers full of stuff. The guy took everything out and started filling up the truck again. "The man looked around the area and decided to unload all of it. There were many old tires, furniture, rags and mattresses. "It was just a total mess. But it had been cleared out before he arrived. There was not a single piece of trash.
So why did this happen? Well, the answer is that this particular location used to be part of a recycling center.People who learned about this facility would drive here to recycle their trash. Sexton said that people would bring their household items to the building and then leave empty containers behind.
This could happen hundreds of time per week. This can happen hundreds of times a week.Eventually, the truck becomes so overloaded with junk that it stops running. The owner finally decides to stop using the truck.
However, trash is not the only problem on our planet.
These tiny plastic particles make up the majority of the particles. Some end up in incinerators or landfills. Others get washed into rivers or oceans. And when they reach the ocean, they often end up in the stomachs of fish.
Experts say if nothing changes, we could soon face a global food shortage. Experts warn that if we continue to go the same way, we won't make it. However, scientists and most people aren't worried.
