FAQ

What is your most secretive community?

The answer to that question may shock you. You might be uncomfortable with the truth of it, as it may challenge your perception of reality. There is a reason this place exists and it's not as you might expect.

The ancient Greeks called it the City of God. It was called the City of Destruction by the Bible.

It's also known as Kashi (Kashmir) in India. It is also called Novgorod in Russia.

However, in America it is called The Town that Disappeared.

One small New York State town with just 1,200 people vanished. It was abandoned without any remains, including no bodies, cars, or houses. The only thing that survived was a road sign, which pointed to its former location.

The little village vanished, with no trace of its existence. Some believe the earth swallowed them up. Others claim a meteorite strike destroyed it. Others claim it was taken away by aliens.

Despite what may have happened, the people who lived in this once-thriving area are confident that their town will not be lost forever. They had just moved to a new town.

You can even track the disappearance of Zugspitz on a dedicated website.

Then, where is it? Well, it's in Switzerland!

Zugspitze is located on the border between Germany and Austria. The lake Lake Zugspitze is just beyond the mountain's summit.

It's always fascinated me how so many towns disappear, yet others remain. What is the difference between some towns that disappear and others that survive? I decided to investigate.

I was curious about the disappearing towns. What is the secret to a town's disappearance? What makes a place disappear?

It turned out that there are many theories about disappearing towns. One theory is that a city disappears after all buildings have been demolished. Another theory suggests that the town simply moves somewhere else. A third theory claims that the town never existed at all.

There are many theories, but the truth is that thousands of towns around the world have been submerged by the earth. This video examines the history and current status of these places.

What is the most mysterious area on earth?

Antarctica is the most mysterious continent on Earth.

This is why we find it so captivating. Because it is unlike anything else on Earth.

It is difficult to access because it is remote and extremely isolated. It is not what you see.

You'll also find the strangest species of wildlife in this natural wonder.

Let's now see how this amazing destination came to be so well-known for its mystery.

Antarctica, The South Pole

It is not known why Antarctica was called Antarctica. Some say it means "land on ice." Others think it comes from Greek mythology.

Antarktis is the name Antarktis was given to an island in ancient Greece by Zeus' twin brothers. According to legend, one of the twins was born in winter. Thus, the term antarctic.

Others believe that the name is a combination of the Greek words anti and tropos which mean against and turn. This would be land turned away form the sun.

Whatever the reason Antarctica has held a special fascination for people, it is undeniable.

It is the highest, coldest, windiest, dryest, and most populated continent. Because it is too frigid, there are no trees, animals, or plants.

Yet, life is abundant in this frozen wilderness.

It is home to approximately 90 percent of all life on Earth. There are about 50% of the world's animal, plant and plant species.

What is it that makes Antarctica so unique? Here, water is frozen into ice rather than vaporizing into the air.

This causes large masses to form of ice which float high above the ground.

These glaciers cover more than 80% of the continent. They continue to grow in size each year.

The Antarctic ice has grown 60 feet so far since 1960.

If the melting goes on, the sea level may rise by as much as 200 feet. This could lead to widespread flooding.

However, not all scientists believe this to be bad news. Some scientists believe that global warming can be beneficial. According to scientists, global warming could be good for us because the melting of the ice sheets will accelerate, which can lead to floods that release toxic chemicals into our soil and bodies.

But others warn that this theory sounds like a plot from a science fiction movie.

Have you ever wondered what amount of trash is generated each day worldwide?

The United Nations estimates that the average person generates more than 2.5 pounds of waste each day. This adds up to over 25 million pounds of garbage annually!

Many of this trash ends in landfill dumps, or incinerators. But what happens if those dumpsters are full? Where does all that rubbish go?Well, most of it gets shipped out of the country. The trash is then sent out of the country and dumped in countries where it pollutes ecosystems. But, one man has now discovered exactly where this rubbish goes. Mike Sexton is his name. He runs Waste Watchers, a company that monitors the movements of trucks carrying trash all across North America. He then reports back about what happens next.

Sexton says he finds his job very satisfying. "We've got a lot of fun," he told CNN. "We see these big trucks coming through town, so we'll keep following them. "Sexton started following truck drivers nearly 20 years ago.

"I just fell in love with it," he said.

His favorite story involved a driver who pulled off at an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. "The guy was looking for someplace to put his load," Sexton recalled. "He drove down the road and saw this building. He pulled over and went in. "There were 2 large containers that had been rolled off, and they were full of stuff. The man removed everything from the truck and started to load it again. "Then, he took everything out and started filling up the truck again. There were lots of old tires, rags furniture, mattresses, mattresses, cans, cans, and other items. "It was a complete mess. But it had been cleaned out before he came along. There wasn't any trash."

This begs the question: Why? The answer is that this location was once part of a recycling facility. People who knew about it would drive to this location to recycle their garbage. Sexton explained that people would bring home their household items, and then take them to the building. After they were done, they would dispose of the empty containers.

It can happen hundreds of thousands of times per week. This could happen hundreds times per week. Finally, the truck stops running completely due to its excessive junk. The truck eventually stops running and the owner decides that it is time to get rid of the vehicle.

Trash isn’t the only problem we face on the planet.

These tiny plastic particles make up the majority of the particles. Some end up in incinerators or landfills. Others end up in rivers, oceans or the stomachss of fish.

Experts warn that if there is no change, the world could soon be facing a food shortage. One expert said, "If we keep going as we are going, we're never going to make it," but most people don’t seem concerned.
