FAQ

Do you wonder how much trash is produced each day across the globe?

According to the United Nations, the average person produces over 2.5 pounds of daily waste. That adds up to over 25 billion pounds of garbage per year!

Many of this trash ends in landfill dumps, or incinerators. But what happens if those dumpsters are full? Most of that trash is shipped out of the country. It is then dumped in other countries, where it pollutes their ecosystems. But now, thanks to the work of one man, we know exactly where all this trash goes. Mike Sexton is his name. He owns a company called Waste Watchers. He spends his time watching trucks hauling trash around North America. He then reports back about what happens next.

Sexton claims he is very satisfied with his job. CNN asked Sexton if he thought it was a lot of fun. "We'll be following these big rigs through town. "Sexton started following truck driver almost 20 years back.

He said, "I fell in love with it."

Sexton's favorite story was about a driver who stopped at an abandoned gas station in Los Angeles. Sexton remembered, "The man was looking for somewhere to put the load." "He drove down the street and saw this building. He backed up and entered the building. "There were two large roll-off containers full of stuff. He took out everything and began to fill up the truck. "Then he looked at the place and decided to unload everything. There were a bunch of old tires, rags, furniture, mattresses, boxes, bottles, cans, and whatever else. "It was just total chaos. But it was cleaned out before he came. There wasn't any trash."

This is the reason why it happened. Well, the answer is that this particular location used to be part of a recycling center.People who learned about this facility would drive here to recycle their trash. Sexton said that people would bring their household items to the building and then leave empty containers behind.

You might see this happen hundreds of times a day. It can happen hundreds of time per week. Eventually, the truck is so full of junk it stops running. And eventually, the owner decides to abandon the vehicle.

But, this isn't the only problem that our planet is facing.

Many of these tiny plastic pieces end up in landfills and incinerators. Others end up in rivers, oceans or the stomachss of fish.

Experts warn us that we may soon face an international food shortage if things don't change. Experts warn that "if we keep going the way we are, we're not going make it," although scientists agree that the world is heading toward disaster. Most people, however, don't seem to be concerned.

Is there a Hollywood blacklist of actors?

There is a Hollywood blacklist.

But the list isn't made public. As far as we are aware, the names are not even known. But here's why it matters.

The reason behind the secrecy was that blacklisted directors and actors wouldn't be able find work. This would result in studios losing money as the actors and directors would have to go out on their own. This would mean that they would cut back on movie production. That would reduce the opportunities for blacklisted filmmakers. Which would lead them to go bankrupt.

Which could ultimately result in more victims.

In other words, if someone is trying to make an Oscar winning movie, they might have to sign a contract that says they won't speak openly against their employers. This applies to any producer or director who wishes to be nominated.

Producers often pressure directors to cut scenes from their films. Or directors threaten to walk out of projects that don’t match their vision.

This is the reason there is a Hollywood blacklist. Negative comments about your employer will most likely lead to you being unemployed. And that's not good for anyone.

There are many people who have been falsely accused. They have had to fight for their freedom.

We need to stop this kind of thing before it starts happening again. It is essential that everyone has the freedom to express their opinions.

So we need to take down the Hollywood blacklist.

How does the brain regulate the functions of the body?

The brain sends messages to other organs and muscles to ensure they work together. Your body's functions are controlled by your brain. It tells you your stomach to digest food; your lungs to inhale air; and it tells you your arms and legs how to move.

Your brain consists of billions of nerve cells connected in groups called neurons. Neurons communicate by sending electrical signals, called action potentials, on axons. Every neuron has a cell wall around its nucleus. The membrane contains channels that allow ions like sodium and potassium to enter the cell and leave it. Ion movement is what causes the neurons to fire.

Neurotransmitters, which are chemicals that release neurotransmitters when a neuron fires up, can be found in the space between the neurons and the next one. Neurotransmitters can bind to receptors at the second neuron. They open ions channels, allowing ions to move in and outside of the channel. This causes the second neuron to fire too.

Neurotransmitter releases occur when a presynaptic neurons receives an input from another neuron. The impulse travels along the synapse connecting the two neurons. The transmitter binds to the receptors on the postsynaptic neural cell, which triggers the firing of that neuron.

Neurotransmitters are important for communication within the nervous system. They also coordinate activity between different brain parts.

Which is the most mysterious spot on Earth?

Antarctica is the most mysterious continent on Earth.

What is it that makes this place so interesting? It is unlike any other place on Earth.

It is isolated, remote, and very hard to visit. This site has more to it than meets your eye.

This natural wonder is also home to some of the strangest wildlife species.

Let's now see how this amazing destination came to be so well-known for its mystery.

Antarctica, The South Pole

No one knows exactly why Antarctica was named Antarctica. Some believe it means "land of ice." Some believe it means "land of ice". Others believe it is Greek mythology.

In ancient Greece, Antarktis was the name given to the island where Zeus' twin brothers were born. According to some legends, one of these twins was born in winter. Therefore, the name antarctic.

Others believe that the name comes from the Greek words anti meaning against and tropos meaning to turn. This would mean land turned away from the sun.

Whatever the reason, Antarctica has always held a special fascination for people.

It is the driest, windiest of all continents. It is too cold to support trees, plants, and animals.

And yet, this frozen wasteland is teeming with life.

It is home to approximately 90 percent of all life on Earth. You can find approximately half the world's species of animal and plant plants here.

What is it that makes Antarctica so unique? Here, water freezes in ice rather that vaporizing into the atmosphere.

This results in large masses of ice floating above the ground.

These glaciers are responsible for covering 80% of the continent. They're getting bigger every year.

The Antarctic ice has grown 60 feet so far since 1960.

If the melting continues, the sea level will rise by up to 200 feet. It could result in massive flooding all over the world.

But not everyone thinks this is bad news. Some scientists suggest that global warming could actually be good for us. They say that as temperatures rise, the ice sheets might melt faster, causing floods that flush out tons of toxic chemicals from our soil and bodies.

Others cautioned that this theory sounds too science fiction.

How To

Hollywood scandals that shocked the globe

Nothing is more shocking than seeing someone famous for wrong reasons. But there's also nothing worse than seeing them fall from grace.

It's fascinating to see how industries react to their mistakes. We have all heard of celebrities who overdosed on drugs and alcohol. Some even died young because of it.

It's worse when stars make public their problems, and then are ignored by everyone. We found ourselves in that situation last week.

Heath Ledger died after a long, successful career. He died after succumbing to prescription drugs.

His family and friends were unable to accept his death, and the media was quick to criticize him.

Heath was once regarded as one of the best actors today. His performances in Brokeback Mountain earned Heath two Academy Award nominations.

Heath, in addition to acting, also wrote and directed films such as A Knight's Tale (Monster's Ball) and Iron Man (3).

Hollywood loved Heath. But he was too big for his boots. He started to use drugs and drink heavily. He eventually went to rehab and was clean.

He was now sober and wanted to make amends. He produced a documentary called Room 237 that documented the making process of The Shining. It was supposed to hit theaters this year. However, it won't until next year.

Heath attempted to get into Hollywood every time. Heath was in fact arrested twice on drug charges.

We don't believe Heath should have been allowed to go back into the entertainment industry. But it would have been nice to get some help before things spiralled out of control.

We hope Heath’s tale will be a wakeup call to anyone who may believe that they can still have all.
