FAQ
Is there a more mysterious place than the Earth itself?
Antarctica is one of the most mysterious places on Earth.
Why do we find this place so intriguing? Because it is unlike any place on Earth.
It is remote, isolated, and extremely difficult to visit. It is not what you see.
Some of the most bizarre wildlife species can also be found in this natural wonder.
So let's explore how this remarkable destination became famous for its mystery.
Antarctica: The South Pole
No one knows exactly why Antarctica was named Antarctica. Some believe it refers to "land of ice". Others believe it comes from Greek mythology.
Antarktis in ancient Greece was the name given the island where Zeus' twin brother brothers were born. According to legend, one of the twins was born in winter. This is why the word "antarctic" was chosen.
Others believe that the name is a combination of the Greek words anti and tropos which mean against and turn. This would mean that the land was turned away by the sun.
Whatever the reason, Antarctica has always held a special fascination for people.
It is the continent with the lowest, windiest and highest temperatures. There are no trees, plants, or animals here because it is too cold.
And yet, this frozen wasteland is teeming with life.
It is home to approximately 90 percent of all life on Earth. You can find approximately half the world's species of animal and plant plants here.
What is Antarctica? Here water freezes to ice and not evaporates into the atmosphere.
This causes large ice masses to rise above the ground.
These floating glaciers make up 80%. They are growing in size every year.
The Antarctic ice has grown 60 feet so far since 1960.
The sea level will rise up to 200 feet if melting continues. This could lead worldwide flooding.
But not everyone thinks this is bad news. Global warming may be beneficial for some scientists. According to scientists, global warming could be good for us because the melting of the ice sheets will accelerate, which can lead to floods that release toxic chemicals into our soil and bodies.
Others warn that this theory sounds like something out of a science-fiction movie.
Did you know that there are approximately 1.6 billion metric tons of trash produced every day in the world?
The United Nations states that an average person produces more than 2.5 pounds of waste per day. That's over 25 billion pounds of garbage each year!
Most of this rubbish ends up in landfills or incinerators. But, what happens when those dumpsters fill up? Most of that trash is shipped out of the country. It is then shipped out and dumped in other countries. This pollutes the ecosystems. But now we know, thanks to one man. Mike Sexton is his real name. He owns a company called Waste Watchers. He spends his time watching trucks hauling trash around North America. Then he reports back to us about what happens next.
Sexton says he finds his job very satisfying. "We've got a lot of fun," he told CNN. "We often see large rigs passing through our town and we will follow them. "Sexton began following truck drivers almost 20 years ago.
"It's all I felt," he stated.
His favorite story is about a driver that pulled into an abandoned gas station just outside Los Angeles. Sexton said that the man was searching for a place to store his stuff. "He drove down the road and saw this building. So he backed up and went inside. "There were two huge roll-off containers there filled with stuff. The man took all the stuff out and filled up his truck with more. "Then he took out everything and began to fill up the truck. There were tires, rags. furniture, mattresses. boxes, bottles, cans. "It was just an absolute mess. But it had been cleaned out before he came along. There was not a single piece of trash.
This begs the question: Why? It is because the location used to belong to a recycling centre. People who found out about this facility would drive to it to recycle their trash. "They'd bring their household items and take them to this building," Sexton explained. And after they finished, they would leave the empty containers behind.
Now, because of the way the law works, once a container reaches its destination, it cannot be opened. So no matter how often someone takes something out of it, the thing will never be emptied.Every time the truck comes by, it has to start over again. This can happen hundreds of times a week.Eventually, the truck becomes so overloaded with junk that it stops running. And eventually, the owner decides to abandon the vehicle.
But, this isn't the only problem that our planet is facing.
Many of these tiny plastic pieces end up in landfills and incinerators. Some of these plastics end up in rivers or oceans.
Experts warn us that we may soon face an international food shortage if things don't change. Experts warn that if we continue to go the same way, we won't make it. However, scientists and most people aren't worried.

What are some dark secrets in Hollywood?
Hollywood is full secret societies. Some secret societies are cultlike groups that have strict rules and rituals. Other clubs are for people who share common interests.
There are other nefarious entities that have a significant influence on the industry. These include companies such as the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America), which sets film ratings, and the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), which sets music licensing fees.
Numerous unions or guilds also represent producers, writers, actors, etc. Most major movie studios and television networks are owned by large corporations which own these various organizations.
It doesn't matter how secretive a group might seem, someone somewhere knows what they are doing. We shouldn't fear these people.
Instead, we should embrace and celebrate them. Because they provide us with information that helps us make better decisions.
They also tell us about the movies that are most likely to succeed and which songs are most popular.
They are, in short, what help us choose what we will watch, read and listen too.
We can trust them and can disregard their advice if it is not in line with our preferences.
Because we have chosen to ignore their power, they are even more powerful. They become the ultimate arbiters for taste.
They can be ignored if you don’t like what they have to say.
Let's take a closer look at some of the less-known, yet still very real Hollywood secret clubs.
And you'll understand why they're so crucial.
