FAQ

How does the brain regulate the functions of the body?

The brain communicates with other organs to ensure their cooperation. Everything that happens within your body is controlled by the brain. It tells your stomach how to digest food and your lungs how to inhale oxygen; it also tells your arms, legs and feet to move.

Your brain is made of billions, or neurons, of nerve cells. Neurons communicate with each other by sending electrical signals called action potentials on axons. Each neuron has a cell membrane surrounding its nucleus. There are channels within the membrane that allow ions such a sodium or potassium to enter and exit the cell. The electric charge that causes the neuron's fire is created by ion movement.

Neurotransmitters are chemicals released when a neuron fires. Neurotransmitters are able to bind to receptors in the second neuron. This opens ion channels that allow ions to flow in and out. The second neuron also fires.

Neurotransmitter production occurs when a neuron in the presynaptic receives an impulsive signal from another. The impulse travels along an synapse between the neurons. The transmitter binds at the receptors of the post-synaptic Neuron and triggers its firing.

Communication within the nervous system is possible thanks to neurotransmitters. They coordinate brain activity among different parts.

Is there a Hollywood blacklist.

There is a Hollywood blacklist.

However, the list isn’t public. The names are not known to us. But, here's why it matters.

The secret reason is that directors and actors who are on the blacklist would not be able to find employment. This would result in studios losing money as the actors and directors would have to go out on their own. They would also cut back on their spending on movies. That would reduce the opportunities for blacklisted filmmakers. They could go bankrupt.

This could eventually lead to more victims.

In other words, if someone is trying to make an Oscar winning movie, they might have to sign a contract that says they won't speak openly against their employers. This applies to any producer or director who wishes to be nominated.

You hear stories of directors being pressured to remove scenes from films. Directors may threaten to quit projects that don’t align with their vision.

This is why Hollywood keeps a blacklist. If you speak negatively about your employer, you will likely be fired. It's not good for anyone.

It is not uncommon for people to be falsely accused. They've had the toil to clear their name.

We need to stop this kind of thing before it starts happening again. Everybody should be able to freely express themselves.

So we need to take down the Hollywood blacklist.

Have you ever wondered what amount of trash is generated each day worldwide?

According to the United Nations the average person creates more than 2.5 lbs of waste daily. That adds up over 25 billion kilos of garbage every year.

The majority of this garbage ends up in incinerators or landfills. But what happens when the dumpsters become full? Most of that trash is shipped out of the country. The trash is then sent out of the country and dumped in countries where it pollutes ecosystems. But, one man has now discovered exactly where this rubbish goes. Mike Sexton is his real name. He runs Waste Watchers, a company that monitors the movements of trucks carrying trash all across North America. He reports back to us about the next steps.

Sexton says he finds his job very satisfying. "We've got a lot of fun," he told CNN. "We often see large rigs passing through our town and we will follow them. "Sexton began following truck drivers almost 20 years ago.

"I just fell in love with it," he said.

Sexton loved the story about the driver who pulled over at an abandoned gas station close to Los Angeles. Sexton said that the man was searching for a place to store his stuff. "He drove down the road to see this building. He stopped and pulled up, then he went inside. "There were 2 large containers that had been rolled off, and they were full of stuff. The guy took everything out and started filling up the truck again. "Then he looked at the place and decided to unload everything. There were many old tires, furniture, rags and mattresses. "It was just an absolute mess. But it had been cleaned before he arrived. There wasn't any trash anywhere."

Why did this happen? The answer is that this location was once part of a recycling facility. People who knew about it would drive to this location to recycle their garbage. Sexton explained, "They would bring their household goods and take them here," and they would then empty the containers.

You might see this happen hundreds of times a day. This can happen hundreds of times a week.Eventually, the truck becomes so overloaded with junk that it stops running. The owner finally decides to stop using the truck.

Trash isn’t the only problem we face on the planet.

Many of these tiny plastic pieces end up in landfills and incinerators. Others get washed into rivers or oceans. And when they reach the ocean, they often end up in the stomachs of fish.

Experts warn us that we may soon face an international food shortage if things don't change. Experts warn, "If you keep going like you're going," we could soon face a global food shortage. But most people don't seem to be worried, even though scientists are unanimous in warning us that the world is heading towards disaster.

What dark secrets do Hollywood have?

Hollywood is full secret societies. Many secret societies are cult-like and follow rigid rules. Others are just clubs for people with common interests.

There are other nefarious entities that have a significant influence on the industry. These include companies such as the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America), which sets film ratings, and the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), which sets music licensing fees.

Numerous unions and guilds also represent actors, directors, writers, producers, etc. Large corporations own most major studios and networks of television.

It is obvious that, no matter how secretive or obtuse a group appears, someone knows exactly what they do. They shouldn't be fearful, however.

Instead, we should embrace and celebrate them. Because they offer us information that can help us make better decision.

These experts tell us which movies are most likely to succeed, which songs will be in demand, and what books will sell the best.

In short, they help us decide what we'll buy, watch, read, and listen to.

We can trust their advice and we can ignore it if it contradicts our values.

They are more powerful than ever because we chose to ignore them. They are the ultimate arbiters and judges of taste.

If you don't like their words, you can choose to ignore them.

Let's now take a look into some lesser-known but very real Hollywood secret societies.

You can see why they are so vital.

Hollywood scandals that shocked all of the world

Nothing is more shocking that seeing someone be famous for their wrong reasons. There's nothing more shocking than watching someone fall from grace.

It's amazing to see how the industry responds to their mistakes. There are many stories about celebrities who drank excessively. Some even died young because of it.

The worst part about this is that these same stars come out with their problems and are ridiculed by everyone. We found ourselves in that situation last week.

Heath Ledger lost his long and successful career. He took too many prescription pills and died shortly after.

His family and his friends struggled with the news and the media went after him.

Heath was once considered to be one of today's most talented actors. He was nominated for two Academy Awards for his performance in Brokeback Mountain.

In addition to acting, Heath also wrote and directed films, including A Knight's Tale, Monster's Ball, and Iron Man 3.

Hollywood loved Heath. However, he quickly grew too large. He started taking drugs and drinking heavily. He finally went to rehab, and he was clean.

Now that he was sober, he wanted to make amends. He created a documentary called Room 237, which documented the making of The Shining. It was originally scheduled to release this year, but it won’t be available in theaters until next.

Heath tried unsuccessfully to get into Hollywood again, but nothing happened. In fact, he was arrested twice on drug charges.

We don't believe Heath should have been allowed to go back into the entertainment industry. However, it would have been nice if he could have gotten some help before things spiraled out of control.

We hope Heath's story will serve as a warning to others who may think they can still have everything.
