There were a bunch of old tires, rags, furniture, mattresses, boxes, bottles, cans, and whatever else. "It was a complete mess. But it had been cleaned before he arrived. There wasn't any trash anywhere."

Sexton said that people would bring their household items to the building and then leave empty containers behind.
