Which is the most mysterious spot on Earth?

Antarctica is home to the most mysterious and remote place on Earth.

This is why we find it so captivating. Because it's unlike any other place in the world.

It is difficult to access because it is remote and extremely isolated. It is not what you see.

Some of the most bizarre wildlife species can also be found in this natural wonder.

Let's see how this incredible destination became famous for its mystery.

Antarctica, The South Pole

Antarctica is named for no one. Some believe it refers to "land of ice". Others believe it derives from Greek mythology.

Antarktis was an ancient Greek name that was given to the island where Zeus and his twin brothers, Zeus. According to legend, one of the twins was born in winter. Thus, the term antarctic.

Others believe that the name is a combination of the Greek words anti and tropos which mean against and turn. This would mean land turned away from the sun.

Whatever the reason Antarctica has held a special fascination for people, it is undeniable.

It is the coldest, windiest, driest and highest continent. Because it is too frigid, there are no trees, animals, or plants.

This frozen wasteland is still alive.

Here are about 90% of all the living creatures on Earth. About 50% of the world's plant and animal species can be found here.

What is Antarctica? Here, water freezes into ice instead of evaporating into the air.

This creates large masses of ice that float above the ground.

These glaciers cover more than 80% of the continent. They continue to grow in size each year.

The Antarctic Ice Sheet has grown 60 feet in the past 60 years.

If the melting goes on, the sea level may rise by as much as 200 feet. This could lead to widespread flooding.

Not everyone believes this is bad news. Some scientists claim that global warming could be good for us. They say that as temperatures rise, the ice sheets might melt faster, causing floods that flush out tons of toxic chemicals from our soil and bodies.

Others warn that this theory sounds like something out of a science-fiction movie.

These are five interesting facts about livers

The liver is responsible both for breaking down toxins as well as storing vitamins, minerals. It also regulates blood pressure, and maintains our body's temperature.

We hear it all the time: "I feel sluggish today" or "my head feels heavy". These symptoms may be a sign of liver disease.

Common signs include yellowing skin, dark urine, fatigue, nausea and vomiting, weight loss, stomach cramps (yellow coloration), itching, and jaundice (yellow colouration). These are not the only warning signs. If you experience any of them, make an appointment with your doctor immediately.

The liver, an essential organ, is vital. It is essential for detoxification and metabolism as well as reproduction.

  1. An adult liver weighs around 1,400 grams.
  2. The size of a baby's liver at birth is approximately half that of an adult. It grows to be about four times bigger by age three than an infant's.
  3. The liver can be found on the left side of your abdomen, just below the lower rib cage.
  4. There are 16 major lobes of the liver. But there are also many smaller ones.
  5. About 10 million red blood cells are found in the liver.

Do you wonder how much trash is produced each day across the globe?

The United Nations estimates that the average person generates more than 2.5 pounds of waste each day. This adds up to over 25 million pounds of garbage annually!

Most of the trash ends up at incinerators and landfills. But, what happens to those dumpsters? All that trash ends up being shipped out of country. The rest is dumped abroad, where it pollutes other ecosystems. Now, we know the exact location of all this garbage. Mike Sexton is his full name. He runs Waste Watchers, a company that monitors the movements of trucks carrying trash all across North America. He reports back to us about the next steps.

Sexton states that he finds his work very fulfilling. CNN spoke with Sexton that they have a lot fun. "We see big rigs coming through town and we'll follow them. "Sexton started following truck driver almost 20 years back.

"I just fell in love with it," he said.

His favorite story involved a driver who pulled off at an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. Sexton recalls, "The guy was searching for somewhere to put his loads." "He drove down the street and saw this building. He backed up and entered the building. "There was a pair of large, full-sized roll-off boxes. The man removed everything from the truck and started to load it again. "The man looked around the area and decided to unload all of it. There were many old tires, furniture, rags and mattresses. "It was just a total mess. But it had been cleared out before he arrived. There wasn't any trash."

This begs the question: Why? The answer is that this location was once part of a recycling facility. People who knew about it would drive to this location to recycle their garbage. Sexton said that people would bring their household items to the building and then leave empty containers behind.

This can happen hundreds of times a week. It could happen hundreds of thousands of times a week. The truck eventually stops running because it has become so jammed with junk. The owner finally decides to stop using the truck.

Trash, however, isn't the only problem facing our planet. As you may have noticed, things are getting worse.According to experts, pollution levels have risen dramatically in recent years.More than half of all water bodies on Earth are polluted.Pollution from industrial chemicals has increased by more than 30 percent since 1980.Even the air we breathe is becoming increasingly toxic.A study by the World Health Organization found that the average person inhales around 100 million particles daily.

Most of these particles are made up of tiny pieces of plastic. Some of these plastics end up in landfills or incinerators. Some of these plastics end up in rivers or oceans.

Experts warn that the world may soon face a shortage of food if we don't make any changes. Experts warn that "if we keep going the way we are, we're not going make it," although scientists agree that the world is heading toward disaster. Most people, however, don't seem to be concerned.
