FAQ

How does the brain control the functions in your body?

The brain sends messages to other organs and muscles to ensure they work together. Everything in your body is controlled and managed by your brain. It tells both your stomach and lungs what to do; it also controls your legs and arms.

Your brain is composed of billions and billions nerve cells, connected in groups called neurons. Action potentials, which are electrical signals sent by neurons to each other via axons, allow them to communicate with one another. Each neuron is covered by a cell membrane. The cell membrane houses channels that allow ions, such as potassium and sodium, to enter and exit the cells. The neuron fires when there is ion movement.

Neurotransmitters are chemicals released when a neuron fires. Neurotransmitters attach to the receptors of the second neuron and open ions channels for ions to pass in and out. In turn, the second neuron also fires.

Neurotransmitter production occurs when a neuron in the presynaptic receives an impulsive signal from another. The impulse travels along the synapse connecting the two neurons. The transmitter binds to the receptors on the postsynaptic neural cell, which triggers the firing of that neuron.

Neurotransmitters are important for communication within the nervous system. They also help coordinate activity between different parts of the brain.

What is your most secretive community?

You might be surprised at the answer. It might even make you uncomfortable because it challenges our perception of reality and how we live. However, there's a reason for this place to exist. It's not what we would expect.

It was called the City of God by ancient Greeks. According to the Bible, it was called the City of Destruction.

It's also known as Kashi (Kashmir) in India. It is called Novgorod (Russia).

It's called The Town That Has Disappeared here in America.

One small New York State town with just 1,200 people vanished. There were no bodies, cars or houses left behind, but a road sign that pointed to the former location was all that was left.

This tiny town vanished without any trace. Some believe it was swallowed by the earth. Others say it was destroyed in a meteorite collision. Still, others say aliens took it away.

The residents of this once prosperous community believe that whatever happened, their town is not gone forever. They had just moved to a new town.

Even a website exists to help track down the disappearances of the lost city Zugspitz.

The question is, where did this place go? It's in Switzerland, actually!

The border of Austria and Germany is at Zugspitze. A huge lake, Lake Zugspitze, is located just beyond the summit.

It has always fascinated my that so many towns have disappeared but others still exist. What is the difference between some towns that disappear and others that survive? I set out to find out.

I was interested in learning more about these mysterious towns that are disappearing. What causes a town to disappear? How can one place become extinct?

There are many theories to explain the phenomenon of disappearing towns. One theory states that a town vanishes when all its buildings are destroyed. Another theory suggests that the town simply moves somewhere else. A third theory holds that the town did not exist.

Although theories may be a bit speculative, it is a fact that numerous towns have been destroyed by the elements. This video explores the history of these towns and examines their current state.

Did you know that there are approximately 1.6 billion metric tons of trash produced every day in the world?

The United Nations states that an average person produces more than 2.5 pounds of waste per day. That's over 25 billion pounds of garbage each year!

Most of this trash ends up in landfill dumps or incinerators. But what happens when those dumpsters get full? Most of that trash is shipped out of the country. The trash is then sent out of the country and dumped in countries where it pollutes ecosystems. But, one man has now discovered exactly where this rubbish goes. Mike Sexton is his nickname. He is the owner of Waste Watchers. His job involves monitoring the movements and routes of trash trucks across North America. He then gives us a report on what happens next.

Sexton claims he is very satisfied with his job. CNN spoke with Sexton that they have a lot fun. "We see big rigs coming through town and we'll follow them. "Sexton started following truck driver almost 20 years back.

He stated, "I just fell in Love with It."

Sexton loved the story about the driver who pulled over at an abandoned gas station close to Los Angeles. Sexton recalls, "The guy was searching for somewhere to put his loads." "He saw the building as he drove down the road. He pulled over and went in. "There were two enormous roll-off containers filled with stuff. The guy took everything out and started filling up the truck again. "Then he took out everything and began to fill up the truck. There were tires, rags. furniture, mattresses. boxes, bottles, cans. "It was just total chaos. But it was cleaned out before he came. There was not a single piece of trash.

This is the reason why it happened. This particular spot used to be a recycling center. People would drive there to recycle their trash. "They'd bring their household items and take them to this building," Sexton explained. And after they finished, they would leave the empty containers behind.

It can happen hundreds of thousands of times per week. This can happen hundreds of times a week.Eventually, the truck becomes so overloaded with junk that it stops running. The truck eventually stops running and the owner decides that it is time to get rid of the vehicle.

But, this isn't the only problem that our planet is facing.

Many of these tiny plastic pieces end up in landfills and incinerators. Some of these plastics end up in rivers or oceans.

Experts warn that if there is no change, the world could soon be facing a food shortage. Experts warn that if we continue to go the same way, we won't make it. However, scientists and most people aren't worried.
